The Commune
It came about when everybody got laid off by the car plant. A group of us women formed into a commune and took our husbands and children with us. There were growing pains, of course but on the occasion of the Harvest Festival our new way of life really began in earnest when four of us went off to bed together. I thought that I should write about it while I was taking it easy and my confinement was only a few weeks away!
