This summer's MUST-READ: a hilarious and heart-warming romantic comedy, perfect for fans of Lucy Diamond and Carole Matthews.
Four Women. One Wedding. A day they'll never forget...
Anna and Toby were meant to be, until their sudden break-up left everyone speechless. Now, Anna has received an invite to Toby's wedding, and it seems like he will forever remain The One That Got Away.
Clare is Anna's best friend. She's sure that attending Toby's wedding will give Anna the closure she needs. Little does she know, the day will change her own life forever, too.
Ella is a classic femme fatale. But the one man she's never managed to charm is Toby and, despite her marriage to wealthy widower Max, she just can't get him out of her head.
Rachel is the blushing bride-to-be. This should be the happiest day of her life. So why does she feel like everything is about to fall apart?
I enjoyed this one, very entertaining and I liked how the author told the story from different POVs I ended up liking characters more than I expected and disliking some others more. I never warmed up to Ella, and the fact that she was dating her stepson gross that was too much, Jasper I don't get why she would date her when she was sleeping with his Dad while her Mother was dying! And she lied until the very end to everybody, she might change but I didn't see that in the end. I just think that her being raped was something cheap like The only way to feel sorry for her.
Toby was really rude towards Ana, and I didn't like these two at the end as much as I liked them at the beginning.
James and Clare I understand the way he acted having a father like that as an example but anyway I didn't care for them that much. James was very immature but what where they expecting when they didn't know each other and wanted to live together and have children.
I liked Rachel more at the end, poor woman playing the organ at her ex wedding, that was too much.
Ana's mom Oh no! Gross cheating man get away with their behavior for women like that they don't respect themselves, that man didn't just leave he lied to her and left her children too. Stupid.
I still enjoyed the book the writing was good, not a Pulitzer prize worthy but okay

At first I wasn’t a fan of how the beginning of the book was, if there wasn’t a date then it would’ve been confusing but after reading some pages I enjoyed knowing the backstory of the characters. I do feel the ending was rushed and could’ve been done differently, maybe exploring a bit more about the other 3 characters but overall the book is very interesting and I recommend this book!
I found the book quite predictable. I wish there was more of a spin on ella personality. Great she turned out good... but would have been good to have more drama from ella to keep me more interested than in Clare's pregnancy... ok read..
Loved this book, only thing I found was with the sudden changes in year and events at the start of the book. In order to keep track make sure to read the date shown and the character which is being the current POV.
Took a little while for me to get into this book if I’m honest but it turned out to be a easy fun read. The ending, albeit being a typical slushy happy ending, was a little bit too rushed for me which spoiled the book slightly.
