Ellis island days by Ellen Weiss is a Historical Fiction book. It very short and easy to read. It is about an American girl who’s family is wealthy. Her father bought her an old antique doll. She hates the doll because it is wooden. The family has to go to Italy because her little brother is sick. They have 1st class on the ship. While they were sight see by in Italy she drops the doll and leaves it there. Along comes an Italian man who picks her up and brings her mom to his niece. The family is immigrating to America. They take 3rd class. The doll has a very different experience on this trip and she has more adventure to come.

I thought this book was an ok book it wasn’t the best book I’ve ever read. I picked this book because I needed a quick easy book. The book was kinda boring and it kept skipping to things and there wasn’t much detail. I wish the book continued on and told about how America was for them.
