The book i read is a more recent publication and the author is identified as Gail Cuthbert Brandt. Publish date 2010.
Same title.

The book was given to me as a gift, and i have enjoyed reading it. And going back and reading parts again.

An interesting read starting in the “distant” Canadian past (1600’s) right up to recent achievements, some of which have been hidden or attributed to men. It is insightful into the social and cultural times within which each of these women lived.

A book that all Canadian teens should have to read in high school.
