Her First Dance: A Billionaire Fake Fiancé Romance by Suzanne Hart
Nancy is a dancer looking for the next chapter in her life and career. James is her brother Neil’s best friend. James is looking to take over the family business and carry on the legacy that was his parents vision. He meets with the board and finds out they aren’t going to give him the job because he is single. James and Nancy have already been on a date and are in the beginning of a new relationship when Nancy over hears a conversation between James and Neil about finding James a fake fiancé. Nancy, even though she has feelings for James steps in and takes the job so she will have enough money to open a dance studio. Their agreement gets discovered and distroys their budding relationship. With neither of them willing to give up on their dreams can these two find a way to be together? Is their love strong enough to withstand the storm? You will have to one click to find out.
I enjoyed this story but there were a few things that kinda got to me. First, I am not sure that James was actually a billionaire. When his money man told him he had $130,000 available to use for “buying” a fake fiancé I was dumbfounded. I can’t conceive that he did not have more liquid assets obtainable to him if he were a billionaire. He also states late in the book to Nancy, that now that he has the company he has the money to get her studio for her. To give her anything she wants. If he was already a billionaire wouldn’t he already be capable of that? Also I found both characters to be very selfish. Neither one wanted to make a scarafice for their love. Nancy in particular would not make a scarafice stating that James had already proven that the company was more important to him than their relationship and that she could never trust that would not always be the case.
Yet that is precisiouly what James did in the end. He scaraficed the company that he had been working towards his entire life just to be with Nancy. What intrigued me about this was no sacrifices were ever made by Nancy and after saying she had trust issues, James just giving up the company, I guess cleared those issues up for her since she agreed to be his wife.
On the one hand it was nice to read a story where the woman did not have to give up her dream just to get the man. You could say my issue wasn’t that she didn’t do it but that she really didn’t pay any price to the relationship as James had done. I would have found a compromise by both to feel healthier for their love. It would have felt more like forever love. In the end 10 or so years down the road James could easily resent Nancy getting to live her dream but he had to live an abbreviated version of his dream. I can’t help but have these concerns. I get so wrapped up in the book I am reading I tend to write, in my mind, the rest of their lives, long after the last page of actual text.
My last thought was on the contract itself. I don’t understand why there even had to be one. They were already dating I don’t understand why they couldn’t keep doing so while adding the fake engagement for the outside world. This would have allowed them to explorer the relationship yet allow everyone to get what they were looking for from being together, not just things but love as well.
So while all of this might make it seem that I didn’t enjoy the book, that would be wrong. I did enjoy it, the writing was good and the characters, because they were flawed were more relatable and real.
I would like to thank the author Suzanne Hart for allowing me to read an advance readers copy of her book. I have appreciated the journey.
This is an interesting twist on the fake fiance story. Nancy and James both have goals for their lives. Will either of them realize their dreams? You will have to read the book for the answer to that. A little more depth of how they found themselves so driven would have been good. Overall a good story.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked James and Nancy. I felt bad for Nancy because no matter how hard she was trying it wasn't good enough. Thankfully James and her were going to try and make her dream come true. I was happy that his uncle finally realized he was being ridiculous with the fact that he had to have a wife in order to run the business. I was happy and not surprised that they really did end up together in the end.
Her First Dance is a billionaire fake fiancé romance that is a true work of art. James and Nancy both are on the verge of life-changing success until they both are faced with roadblocks that seem to be preventing them from their dream accomplishments. Heading up the family business for James and owning her own dance studio for Nancy seemed out of reach now that they both received unexpected news. However, desperate times cause for desperate measures to be taken; out pops the thought of hiring a fake fiancé. This seems to be the only way for James to get what he wants. When Nancy, hears of this, she feels who better to assist him, then herself. After all, she has deep feelings for him that she dares not share out loud. But sometimes the unspoken speaks louder than the spoken. Nervous and unsure, they both agree to the arrangement. Deep down they both know the chemistry between them is pure fire with a yearning, longing, and flame that refuse to be put out. The only challenge that poses a threat is holding true to the lie of the engagement with a friendship bound by a contractual agreement. The more they engaged and get to know each other and spend time in each other presence the more they begin to become vulnerable; fake begin to become real. Things get complicated. Sparks fired, and a few encounters had them both shook but totally feeling the chemistry. The question is should they explore those feelings and prepare for the consequences that follow.
Suzanne Hart did an amazing job peeling back the layers of truth and love in the lives of James and Nancy. She turns their complex into the simplicity in a way that they may miss the obvious for overthinking what is right in front of them. They both must find their truth, accept it and create their happy place. Suzanne takes you on an enjoyable ride, while you journey through the pages as their love and longing for each other heats up. Although they both can feel it to their core, will love be enough to save both of their careers and fulfill the needs and ambitions they each have for success?
This is a sizzling hot read that will have you turning the pages in anticipation of James and Nancy’s next move. It is written in a way that will have you hanging on to every word to see the fate of these two. What an enjoyable read from the beginning to the end.
Nancy is working two jobs trying to keep her head above water...she’s a dancer at an underground club and a receptionist at an L.A. hair salon. She desperately waiting to hear from the bank hoping to receive a loan that will allow her to open her own dance studio. James is Nancy’s brother’s Neil friend. James is a Rhode’s scholar and was valedictorian of his class at Wharton..all this has been done to prepare James Paris to take over Paris Inc. from his uncle. This should be a layup for James...he’s well qualified, and a Paris. When meeting with the board James’ uncle goes on about James’ qualifications but there’s a but....if James takes over Paris, Inc. the notoriety of being the CEO of Paris, Inc. will make James a target for every single goldigger as well as a paparazzi magnet. James needs to squash this notion ASAP and explains casually that he is engaged. The board is happy. Meanwhile Nancy is miserable after hearing the bank has turned her down for her loan. This fake marriage trope has been done to death. So I was looking for a new angle or hook that would make this story stand apart from the hundreds of others. While this book was a decent read, the predictability factor and the trope were sameo sameo. If you enjoy fake marriage stories, you will most likely enjoy this book.

Oh I loved this book! Suzanne Hart wrote an amazing story about finding the love you didn't know was missing, James meets his best friend Neil for drinks one night and sees his crush up on stage dancing. Oh and she is also Neil's sister. James is all set to take over the family company. His parents died when he was a teenager and he has been preparing to takes his uncle's place when he steps down. His uncle shocks him by informing him that because of his single status, he was not suitable to run the company. Before he can stop himself, he tells them her is engaged. Nancy has dreams of opening her own dance studio but needs the financing, So after some heavy flirting, they agree to pretend for both their benefits. He gets his company and she gets the financing for her studio. What could possible go wrong? Can they keep it all pretend or will their growing feelings ruin everything? Highly recommend.

Her First Dance is a billionaire fake fiancé romance. James and Nancy each have an agenda and a mission already in place to make sure they achieve their end games. Unfortunately life never works out the way we plan.
Nancy wants to have her own dance studio to help younger students and give them the chances she didn’t have growing up. She only needs a loan to get herself set up, but the bank has other plans.
James wants to run his family’s company, he doesn’t need the money or the glory but he feels like he owes it to his parents to take his rightful place but his uncle throws a wrench into those plans.
James and Nancy find out that they need each other to accomplish what they’ve dreamed of for years. Will they be able to remain friends or will love find a way to sneak in.
This was a quick read, cute but not fluffy. I could only give a 3 ½ stars as I found myself in some lulling passages. I read an advance copy without expectation for review, any and all opinions expressed are my own.
Wow! What can a I say? The story is about James who is a rich playboy and Nancy who is his best friend's little sister, and dances for a living. They agree to keep their feeling on hold and to fake an engagement to help each other get something they each want. Unfortunately, they fail miserably by giving in to their feeling and before they can explore what it means, James' cousin causes problems for them and this breaks them up. However, they subsequently make the decision to fight for their love and happily ever after. This is a must read book worth
Story that shows that pursuing dreams blindly can lead us in the wrong direction. Especially when the dreams are not ours but our parents. Being stubborn and fixated on our goal can cost us happiness and love. I read my share of the stories in plot with"fake" fiancés, fiancées, husbands, wifes, dates but this one has something else that I find interesting and that make me turn page after page. The story is not conspicuous, it's a little bit twisted with not so obvious ending. There were two moments in the book that I thought I knew how and when the protagonist will get their HEA but boy was I wrong. I enjoyed reading it very much!
The plot seems typical at first! Boy likes girl, but is best friends with her brother. shes always had a crush on him! but author still makes it her own ! James needs a fiance soon or he will loose the company his family worked hard to build! Nancy also a hard worker with three jobs, working to open a Dance studio! James desides to hire a "Fake fiance " again not original plot, but thats where the story starts to be its own! this is a sweet but also steamy read with an ending I did not see coming! Hoping to see brother Neils story ! a great read! Was given an Arc from Booksprout for my honest opinion !
Definitely five stars. James was in need of a fake fiance, Nancy was in need of money to start a dance studio, a lifetime dream of hers. Perfect for both. Each had had a crush on the other for years. Nancy was the sister of James's best friend. Her First Dance is unique as compared to the other books I have read about fake fiances. There were the highest highs and the lowest lows on their way to their HEA. Parts made me cry. Loved the ending. I certainly recommend this book.

Her First Dance, by Suzanne Hart was an excellent read. I wasn't sure at first when I started reading the book what exactly who was about James or Neil, who had just returned from London. Then she started building the chemistry right away between James and Nancy, Neil's sister, that alone would have made a good story. Instead Suzanne took it in a different direction and it was an amazing read. I highly recommend this book!

James needs a fake fiance , Nancy needs money to start her own dance studio .. they can help each other , right? This is not the typical fake fiance read. The author does a great job building up their relationship , throws in tons of emotions and brings it to an end with an intense climax. The story moves quickly and smoothly and had me hooked and on the edge right to the end! Highly recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Suzanne Hart write a methodical plot with a definitive beginning, middle and HEA ending. The author is a gifted writer and this book is about choices. I enjoyed reading this story and the process wherein the 28 year old Hero learns about himself and the consequences of choices. The Heroine is strong, goal oriented, and has a true understanding of who she is. The ending was highly satisfying and the Hero made the right choice!

My first read from Suzanne and I can comfortably say that she certainly knows how to grab one’s attention and keep you turning the pages.
Quite an interesting storyline that is not only entertaining but also educational as we follow James in his quest to fulfil his parents legacy but is it what he really wants and at the expense of what.
Highly recommend it.

I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I truly enjoyed reading this book, it's a real feel good love story but with plenty of: he isn't? She won't? Why can't they just see? And then there's the nail biting climax which keeps you on edge til the last. The writing style makes this book really easy to read and it won't let you go til the final word.
Dreams change Her First Dance by Suzanne Hart is a story of a Virgin and he brother’s best friend, both having secretly lusted after the other, but thinking anything would be impossible. To realize their individual dreams, they embark on a fake engagement. Nancy and James set out to help each other, and in the process fall in love. A fun read that ends happily, but with a surprising twist!

Suzanne Hart's, Her First Dance, is an intriguing fake fiance story. Nancy is in need of money to pursue her dream and when she finds out James, who she has feelings for, is in need of help she volunteers to play his fiance. Great chemistry, great build up, lots of emotions and a plot that keeps you reading to the surprise ending. Another winner. I received this book as an ARC for my honest opinion.
Nancy is a dancer who is working two jobs in order to follow her dream of opening her own dance studio. James is her brother’s best friend, and in order to follow his own dream, he needs a fake fiancée. These two had had crushes on each other for years, but will they help each other out now? No spoilers; this is a sweet read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written story which had me intrigued and hooked throughout, and I cannot wait to read more of this talented authors’ work!
I enjoyed Her First Dance, the story but I had some questions that were never answered. What happened in the accident that cost her the dancing opportunity in New York? Also, they hooked up together pretty quickly and then things rapidly fell apart. The story moved a little too quickly for me but the story sizzled. It was a fun short read. Love Suzanne Hart's books.

I usually enjoy reading the best friend sister kind of book. But this book did not do for me, don't get me wrong it was well written but I found it lacking. I don't think the characters were on the same page and did not compliment each other. It is worth reading but it did not do it for me.

I was given this book to read in exchange for a review. This was a great book from the beginning, through the book to end, which had me a bit nervous as to how it would end. I enjoyed the way the characters, James and Nancy were described in detail and there was definitely a lot of hot chemistry sizzling between the two of them. Great read.
This is book 2 in a series called "Untouched" all about virgins.
I was not captivated by book 1 and decided to give book 2 a try, I want to say it was better but not really. I will not waste any more time by reading the rest of the series.
This book is about a best friend and sister romance, James and Nancy. They have always loved each other but never let the other know. etc, etc, etc
Lovely short story. As they say love wins out in the end. James and Nancy seemed destined to be together and James giving up the company sealed that. Nancy followed her dream to be a choreographer moving from LA to NY and James followed. If you want an easy going love story then this book is for you
