Slater you did this! Jaya. Ivan. XSOURCE. Betrayal. Buckets of pain. Redemption? Chick you NAILED IT!

Wow.

Wow.

Wow!

The elusive XSource is revealed in this installment. Well who would have thought the cheeky pawn could be such a powerhouse? I absolutely love the reveal and love Ivan’s response to the reveal! What a well-written novel! Capturing Victory has a taste of everything from suspense to a dash of dark romance. A dash. Just a smidgen! But oh what a dash it is!!! Ivan is divine! An alpha who represents that title to the fullest. Jaya doesn’t stand a chance!

So yeah I think reading the previous two installments will result in a better reading experience. BUT Slater KILLS it making sure the reader is not LOST!

Please remember to be respectful above all things pertaining to Ivan. He’s in a committed relationship with an awesome blogger, yours truly. Trust when I tell you not even his eyes twitch when a woman is near! Don’t waste your time, readers.

Five stars!

Anti hero to the core!
Heroine was badass hacker. I loved that hero was first infatuated with her genius brain. The cultural differences added spice to their pairing. Their relationship and love was very unique. They way hero tested heroine’s ability and the way she always won with flying colors was so good. His possession and possessiveness of heroine was highlight.
Secondary characters and the suspense was also enjoyable.
Completely safe.
Recommended.

3 - 3.5 stars!

Ivan and his Jaya, the little hacker that lit his world on fire and watched it burn to ashes. I've been craving psychopath alpha males and fierce heroines that challenge them. This story hit both. Dark, a little violent (ok maybe a lot), gritty and dirty. Would have liked some extra epilogue.

Capturing Victory by Nikita Slater will definitely go down as one of my top favorites by her. Although I can’t pinpoint if it was the Indian heroine, the OTT alpha and his need for her, or the unpredictability of a good bad boy romance, or the hot sexy steamy scenes, but there are PLENTY of reasons why this read was a FIVE STAR READ for me!

Main characters

Jaya- Our heroine embodies everything badass and then some. Her name Jaya, translates into victory and she doesn’t stop short of perfection. She is a hacker, she is a genius, she is incredibly willful, and she does not submit easily. She may just be my favorite Nikita Slater heroine yet!

Ivan Vogel- He is OTT sexy, relentless, cold at times, protective, and sees the heroine as the brilliant heroine she is. Despite his authoritative dominance over her, he doesn’t hinder her skills and ability to live her brilliance. He isn’t threatened by her her strength, and makes her bend willingly and beautifully without losing a single part of herself. He treasures her.

The Romance+ Steamy+ Sexy as hell+ plot
The turns and plot twists in this book had me experiencing several 1000 emotions. A willful hacker kidnapped and a dark hero meet under circumstances and the mind games begin. Oh the possibilities.

This is dark romance as the author cautions and there are dark elements in this and I really really enjoyed the execution.

Capturing Victory was an absolutely delicious story featuring Ivan and Jaya. This story was sexy and addicting. I enjoyed their connection and how enthralled Ivan was with Jaya.

Anyone who knows me knows that Hacker stories are my jam. There is something about them that is just so addicting. I loved that Jaya was an Indian American woman and from a diverse background. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.  4 stars! ~Ratula

I freaking LOVED this book. This book was a love story, hot sex, a history lesson, and a geography lesson all in one! The last book I didn't like as much as all her others but this time, Nikita knocked it out of the park! The mystery in this book was phenomenal, Ivan was OTT Alpha, Jaya was so freaking smart that it was hilarious! This book had me laughing in so many places, the banter was hilarious. I loved that Jaya kept Ivan on his toes even until the very end. I loved that she wasn't some simpering h; her and Riley have a ton in common! I especially loved, how just like Solomon, the Alpha was relentless and refused to give the h up, no matter what. No "ok i'll let her go and see if she comes back" (I HATE THAT) but I love that Nikita doesn't do that. Nikita is officially the Queen of organized crime romance!!!

Jaya was an extremely intelligent woman who caught the interest of Ivan who shall we say is a very bad man. There were a few times I desperately wanted to hand Ivan his unmentionables on a platter lol. Don't mind me I just got so involved with these characters I might have forgotten they weren't real a time or two. Kudos to the author for that. While Ivan was a cold violent man you can see it happening in these pages as Jaya worms her way into his heart. Ivan grew on me as I read this fascinating tale of desire and revenge. Not everything is as it appears to be you will learn as more of the backstory is revealed. And sometimes a canary can find freedom in a gilded cage.

This is, of course, a dark story but OMG I liked every minute of it. This book starts off at a dead run and doesn't let up. Every twist and turn just makes everything better and more intense.

Ivan and Jaya are dysfunctional at it's finest but that is what Nikita is a mastermind at providing and making you enjoy every dirty minute of. I wanted to hate Ivan I wanted to punch him but let's be real that's what makes him so damn attractive.

The development of their relationship and the way he bends for Jaya makes your heart bloom for the dark and twisted but oh so delicious warlord.

I really enjoyed this book! Of course, dark romance with kidnapping and dubious consent does just so happen to be my jam!
Ivan was the cold-hearted, ruthless arms dealer who is responsible for kidnapping Jaya, the gifted hacker with a sad past. Seeing the two of them slowly warm up and soften to each other was fun. I loved Haty... best gift ever!
I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys dark or mafia style romances!

Ivan is a very hard man who is just a little too trigger happy. He certainly wasn't afraid to off someone who didn't follow the rules and so you'd think that Jaya might've been shot several times but there was just something about her he couldn't let go of. Jaya was his beautiful caged bird who couldn't stop trying to fly away. Does he catch her and keep her forever...well of course but you'll want to read the crazy sexy adventure of their unconventional love story and their HEA. Ps I loved Haty. I know Nikita had to of put Haty in the story for me, well that's what I'm telling myself anyway. Thanks Nikita for the opportunity to read this fabulous story early and this is my honest review.

Solid 4 stars. This is definitely one of Nikita Slater's best written books. I was surprised at how evil and cold the H was. For a long time he was just incapable of love even though there was growing admiration for the h inside him.

I was only at 3℅ of the book and I'm already giggling and excited like I'm watching a romance-comedy with how Ivan and her meet for the first time. The seriousness and dark theme of the story yet the author was able to add jokes and humor in there is brilliant. Gripping. Everything they encountered gives you that lovey dovey feeling considering the kind of guy he is but you never forget how vicious he can be, all at the same time. This author shows us her characters' personality soo well. Great mafia/mobster story as always

Ivan is a true Apex Alpha and does not apologize for it at all!! I'm glad Ms. Slater kept True to his character and persona and DIDN'T CHANGE him just because he fell in love. He was what he was from beginning to end. And deal with it or not....he really didn't care one way or another.

I received an ARC and Nikita Slater has done it again. I have been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint. I fell in love with Jaya and Ivan. He was a possessive, complicated, viscous man, and I enjoyed every moment. Great story Nikita!

3.75 - 4 stars.

the hero falls first, the heroine takes her sweet time. loooove.
the hero is possessive and psycho. the heroine tries to escape him again and again, and impresses him with her intellect and planning skills. also infuriates him. he's willing to kill to keep her. heart eyes.

warnings/things i struggled with: he slaps her once, cages her in an actual cage, and calls her his slave a handful of times.
so yeah, the hero is too violent and intense in the first part of this book, but by the end of the book i absolutely see how loving their relationship is.

i absolutely love their journey together. that part at the end where the hero tells the heroine he would've turned his back on revenge had he known she would someday be hurt by his enemy?? made me feel so many emotions. his revenge had been everything to him, but she became even more important to him. swoon.
