Escape to Wildflower Park with Part Two of a brand new four-part serial from bestselling author Bella Osborne.
Life’s not always a walk in the park…
When Anna is dumped by her fiancé, she moves in to her own place on the edge of the gorgeous Wildflower Park and pledges to stay off men and focus on her career, but a handsome new colleague seems to thwart her attempts at every turn. And when she receives an accidental text from a mystery man, could it be the new start she needs? Or someone she really shouldn't be falling for?
Anna’s neighbour Sophie is a stressed-out mum-of-two with a third on the way. Her husband is a constant frustration, and their children are a regular source of newly-invented swear words and unidentifiable sticky surfaces.
Luckily, Anna and Sophie have each other – and Wildflower Park proves to be a sanctuary as they map out a path to find the happiness they both deserve…
Fantastically funny, this irresistibly heart-warming novel will charm fans of Milly Johnson and Jill Mansell.
Ohhh does this story keep getting better and better.
This is Part 2 and picks up right where part 1 left off. But do we get answers to the clifhanger?? Nope!! Bella has just planted juicy seeds and twists along the way to keep you guessing.
This instalment sees Anna and Hudson become closer. How and why you will just have to read it, my lips are sealed 😉
There are revelations, secrets, Anna finally meets her secret texter, family drama, crazy children antics, potential romances, blossoming friendships, fun, but a potential break up! Wow looking back Bella had packed this instalment to the brim with juicy twists.
Oh and be warned this part leaves you on a shocker of a clifhanger. Although i suspected it, I didn't see it ending that way.
I CAN'T wait to delve straight in to Part 3! I am loving this series, and as always Bella's books just keep getting better and better!
Definitely a series not to be missed!
Thank you to Avon books for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
The second book on this series is just brilliant great to hear more about the friends and how they move forward in their lives. Romantic while also heartbreaking but a really good read and makes you laugh in places to. Anna is still trying to sort her life out after being dumped and she's reallocated friendly with Sophie but she's struggling with her marriage while also expecting another child so can she sort out her marriage or has it gone beyond that. Also when the mystery text person suggests meeting up with Anna will she meet up or is she not ready to move forward. A great easy read.
*Book provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review*
In part 1 we get introduced to the characters, their situation, as well as the setting.
The main characters are Anna and Sophie. Anna is dumped by her fiancé and moves to a new place in Wildflower Park. She wants to focus on her career, but that is not so easy. A handsome new colleague or a mystery man, well, well... Sophie is a mum of two and the third one is on the way, but her husband is no help at all. I love how both of them are the main characters and their friendship is great to follow and read about.
In part 2 things are starting to heat up and make the story more exciting. Can’t wait to see where things are going now.
Bella Osborne managed to put in cliff-hangers and really build up the tension. Her writing is charming, entertaining and just lovely!
I read this second part in just one day, it's short, lovely, full of events and mysteries, just how I like my books! There is so much going on in this series! Anna has her head full of men (Hudson, her cute colleague at work, Liam, her ex and Connor, the stranger with who she exchanges texts), Sophie has a crazy life with her 2 full-on kids and a very relaxed husband who doesn't make a lot of efforts to help her at home. Oh I love this series so much! I am happy to know that there are still part 3 and 4 to read because I am not ready yet to say goodbye to all those crazy characters! This series of books is such a pleasure to read!!!!
Loving this series! Can’t wait for the next instalment.
Fun, frothy with a decent pace. There are tear jerking moments and plenty of laughs throughout. As well as the main character Annas story the supporting story involving her best friend Sophie is as intriguing and involving. More characters have been introduced in this part of the story and I’m interested to know how they will be involved in the story.
Oh my goodness the second part in this series sees things starting to hot up! I love the fact that we have Anna's story and Sophie's story to look forward to each time here. The fact that they are friends would usually mean that one of them is a secondary character but I feel like they are each main characters and they are best friends so that makes their stories extra special!
Let me tell you, we get to find out a lot more about Sophie's story in this installment. Her situation is totally relatable but also makes me angry at the same time. I am angry at her husband but also angry at her for not doing more to speak up for herself and help herself somewhat, she needs to be a little more honest with everyone around her and I really hope that we get to see that in parts 3 and 4!
Anna's mystery text buddy gets a bit more action in this episode. We get to find out a little more about them but I definitely have my suspicions that there is more to them than meets the eye and more to the way they may or may not fit into Anna's life. The hate to love trope vibes are definitely strong with Anna's new work colleague and so I definitely have some predictions (which I won't share) as far as they are concerned.
I love this series so far and so if you'll excuse me, I'll be heading back to the peach of wildflower park to get stuck into part 3!
Loving this series. Unsure where I want any possible romance to go - does she - doesn't she. Will have to wait and see. Loving the comedy elements too. Bring on the next installment.
I am really enjoying this series so far and after I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series I had to wait patiently to get my hands on book two – and I have to say now I have finished it, I thought it was a fantastic read and is definitely one I will be recommending!!
I love the characters in the story, they are very well developed and I can really relate to them, I can also really sympathise with them as we are going through similar changes at work at the moment and the author has really nailed the processes and their interaction is brilliant – it is like I am in the office with them! I am truly loving seeing the story develop and the few hiccups that have been thrown in on the way. It is well written with genuine and believable characters.
Another five stars from me for this instalment, can’t wait to read the third and fourth to see how it all ends – very highly recommended and very well written – I loved it!!
I'm really enjoying this series now! The first one didn't give much away but when you think they're just over 100 pages long, it would be a bit hard for tons of action to start then! We're only just getting to know the characters. I really adore the cover of these series too. They're so colourful, bright and just really draw you in. I love the flowers, the swans and the pretty houses, everything just comes together perfectly and makes you want to read it.
I really like Anna's character. She seems to have gone through a lot in her life and I really feel for her. I also feel equally as sorry for Sophie, she's got a lot on her plate and her husband Dave seems to be a constant disappointment! I love the area in which they live, it sounds like a dream to back on to your own private park where only a handful of people are able to visit.
In this series, it's starting to heat up a bit and Liam arrives back in Anna's life with a big bang. She starts pretending to be in a relationship with Hudson (whom she still has some disagreements with) but since pretending to be in a relationship, the pair seem to be getting on a lot better. As well as this, poor Sophie seems to still be having troubles with her crush on Hudson and cannot get him out of her head, causing her and Dave to have a huge bust up. The main question at the end of this novella is whether they will get back together again!
It's a great addition to the story, and as the second and third novella was uploaded onto Netgalley at the same time I was able to start reading the third one in the series straight away which was lovely! I'm now halfway through the third and loving it! Seriously cannot wait to read the fourth in the series. Overall, a really enjoyable addition to the series, would 100% recommend giving this a read. Thank you to the publisher for a chance to read this novel via Netgalley, which I have reviewed honestly.
Book 2 of a 4 part book series. Note to readers, you can either read this as a 4 part book series like I’m going to or there is a full length novel which includes all of the 4 parts should you prefer to read it in that format.
I’m absolutely loving this series already. Part 2 was pretty short but despite that, a lot sure happened within those pages, really good, plenty of drama and a few laugh out loud moments. I’m very happen to see that Sophie is taking a stand when it comes to her husband, about time too I’d say.
My favourite character, being Maurice the cat, made a few appearances too, he’s such a sweetly, clearly quite the character.
Given that Part 2 ended on a cliff hanger, a good one I might add (although some readers would probably disagree with me on that one, but hey oh). Right I can’t wait, I’m going straight into part 3, need to know what happens.
Anna is not happy when her ex Liam turns up at work as an outside consultant and she is convinced it will cost her her job, especially when he appears to want to carry on where they left off......... even though he dumped her for another woman! To throw him off the scent she pretends to be in a relationship with Hudson....... but does he appear to be too much of the perfect boyfriend!
I am loving this new series, it might be a bit predictable but it is so warm hearted and funny that our doesn't matter at all, so just looking forward to the next part!
A Budding Romance is the second in the four part Wildflower Park serial by Bella Osborne which later in the year will be published as a full length novel for those that have the patience to wait and read it all in one go. I don't possess that patience and I'm always eager to read each part as it becomes available. I love being able to dip in and out of the story and as it is so short it's enjoyable to have something quick to read in between finishing and beginning more longer books. A Budding Romance romance picks up exactly where part one left off and as it wasn't that long since I had been first introduced to to Anna and Sophie everything was very much fresh in my mind.
Anna's ex is back on the scene but instead of it being personal, he has intruded into her professional life whereas really she would very much prefer if he didn't feature on her radar any more in any capacity. Stick to restructuring the company and working on redundancies but keep Anna out of things - that's her motto when it comes to Liam. She knows deep in her heart that taking him back would be a very bad idea and sets about making him jealous and putting him off her trail. This was a funny little side plot where Anna and Sophie had presumptions about a certain person and were using it to their advantage.
Admittedly because of the way the story and characters were written I presumed the very same thing which turned out not to be true at all. It goes to show never judge people on first appearance or actions, take the time to get to know them that little bit better. The storyline from part one regarding texts that started out as a mistake and began to turn into something else did get more of a spotlight this time. Whether it worked out the way I and many other readers would have thought is up for debate and to find out you'll have to read this story.
I felt we got to know Anna and her best friend Sophie a lot more this time around. We are getting beneath the outer exterior of Anna and slowly starting to understand what motivates her and why she thinks the way she does and why she has certain opinions and beliefs. She is a person who struggles to relinquish control and likes order to exist in her life whenever at all possible. She can never relax and always keeps her mind occupied and I sense there has to be a significant reason behind this mentality which we will more than likely discover the answers to the further we move through the story. I love that Anna is a very independent woman but I think the time has come for her to step outside of her comfort zone and test new waters. But will she be brave enough to take the next step?
As for Sophie, I'm slowly beginning to warm to her. In part one she proved to be such a frustrating character not happy with her lot in life and in my eyes she was always complaining. But now I'm starting to see in what direction Bella Osborne is taking this character and I have a lot more sympathy for her. Sophie feels trapped in her marriage and with baby number three on the way she is crying out for support and help from husband Dave who just seems oblivious to his wife’s wants and needs. Basically she is in a situation she sees no way out of and is begging almost but Dave is putting his head in the sand believing he does the best he can and that most of the daily home life should be left to the mother figure. I won't class their relationship as an equal partnership by any means. Sophie feels like she is on treadmill that there is no possibility of jumping off. There is no excitement in her life any more.
Things regrading Sophie's situation end on a cliffhanger so I am desperate now to discover what happens next in part three Oopsy Daisy. A Budding Romance was a lovely, quick, easy and enjoyable read and I think the best is yet to come with parts three and four when the story will take off even further.
The first part in this series ended on a cliffhanger and I was so looking forward to reading more of this delightful series and seeing what happens next to Anna and her neighbour Sophie.
In this book there is a very big misunderstanding between Anna and the handsome American Hudson which leads to awkward, but very funny, situations. I'm liking this friendship more and more as they get to know one another.
The mystery texter storyline moved on quite nicely too.
Poor Sophie, still feeling unhappy and trapped, her hormones are all over the place. It's lucky she has Anna around.
I really enjoyed this latest instalment in the series and, as in the first part, it finished on a cliffhanger, and now I can't wait to find out what author Bella Osborne has in store for everyone!
Wildflower Park part two is the second instalment of Bella’s new book Wildflower Park.
A little recap
In the first book we met Anna who was in a long term relationship with Liam. They had been together two years had their own house and were engaged and ready to get married the next year. That was until Liam decided that he needed a break and called off the engagement.
Anna moves out of the home and into a new flat a recent promotion at work see Anna in more of a managerial role. The company has a new client to work with Cue Hudson’s entrance a dishy American who Anna will need to work with in close contact. To make the project go correctly and well. However they do not get off to the best of starts when Anna manages to give Hudson a black eye. Cue lots of funny, embarrassing moments.
We get to meet a lot of Anna’s work colleges along the way as well. But one of the most important is Sophie who is not only Anna’s work college but also her best friend. Sophie is married to Dave, has two children and had one more on the way. The only problem is that she feels like her hasband takes advantage of her and expects her to work, look after the children and be a house wife all in one go.
We also get to meet Maurice the gorgeous but a little bit prickerly cat that Anna adopts fromthw cats home.
Now onto part two.
In this book Anna is put in charge of doing a team bonding away night for her work. Bringing everyone closer together so that their ideas flow better and the make coherent decisions.
The only problem is that while away on this trip Liam turns up unexpectedly. He has been instructed by the head of the company to come in and look at reconstruction and job cuts.
Anna is taken by surpriae because she never expected it to happen. While in between a rock and a hard place. Hudson finds Anna and not knowing what to do or say for the best. Ends up telling Liam that they are dating but want to keep it a secret from everyone else because it is still new. Cue great moments as they pretend to be together.
Maurice is still extremely adorable although not in this book very much. I would have liked to have seen him more as he is adorable.
Anna is still in communications with her secret admirer via text message. Could a date be on the cards for this?
Sophie is still frustrated with her husband and things just go from bad to worse in this book for her as when Sophie comes back from the away day with work and discovers Dave has done nothing while she has been away, the house is a mess and he doesn’t even know where the children are or what they are up to. Things aren’t going well in this camp.
Will Sophie and Dave be able to sort out their problems and their marriage before things get too far out of hand? Will Anna finally meet up with her secret admirer? Will she get together with Hudson? Will they all keep their jobs? And will things turn out ok for Maurice?
I always love a good Bella Osborne book and this one is turning out to being one of my favourites. Highly entertaining, completely absorbing, cute and loveable. This book was exactly what I needed when I didn’t feel very well. I’m loving this series.
I enjoyed the book, but didn't love it as much as Part One in the Wildflower Park Series. Anna and Sophie are still there usually selves and we get to know more about Hudson and Anna's mysterious texter. Maurice, the giant kitty and fluffy scene-stealer, makes numerous appearances.
The story picks up where the last book left off with Anna and her coworkers at a team building event. There's an Amazon themed party at Hudson's, Anna decides to meet the man behind the texts, Anna is hiding something tragic that happened during her time at college and Sophie's unhappy marriage becomes a center point in the story. I would say the whole book is about how unhappy Sophie is with her husband Dave and how much he doesn't help at home. I will say Dave seemed pretty clueless about helping his wife and taking care of his children. I couldn't believe what Dave decided to surprise Sophie with for her birthday.
I enjoyed the characters , story and writing style. The whole fairy conversation was hilarious. I also couldn't believe how they found Sophie at Hudson's party. She definitely must be tired. After Anna babysits Sophie's children, I'm not sure she will ever have children. I keep hoping a romance will spark up between Anna and Hudson, a real one. I love reading about Anna and Sophie. The books are a very quick read and always end on a cliff hanger. I definitely recommend the book and can't wait to read Part 3!!
Thanks to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author, Bella Osborne, for a free electronic ARC of this novel.
After being lucky enough to read and review the first part of ‘Wildflower Park’ I was overly excited to be approved to read part two, especially as the first part left a lot of unanswered questions. I absolutely love the cover of part two, the combination of colours used are just beautiful.
As you read on in ‘Wildflower Park’ Bella gives you more of an insight into Anna’s thoughts and feelings which gives you more of an understanding of her as a person. She seems more lost than ever when her ex fiancé returns to her life in a professional capacity, she clearly feels she has to ward off Liam as much as possible.
You also get way more of an insight into Sophie’s life and the struggles she is facing in her personal life especially in her marriage. I feel very frustrated with Dave and just want him to give more support to Sophie. Will she do what is right for herself and her children??
Even in this part of the book, there are so many twists and turns with each character. Anna finally finds out a little more about her mystery texter (How will this work out I wonder?) Anna certainly has some difficult decisions to make in her life. Bella makes each and every one of her characters realistic and reliable, it’s like I know Anna and Sophie myself.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed reading part two of ‘Wildflower Park’ and it ended on yet another cliffhanger so I am off to read part three (How exciting!!) I give ‘Wildflower Park’ part two 5*/5* 😊
Part two of this series continues with Anna making her way through life, newly single. Ex-boyfriend Liam who is back on the scene working with Anna's company, admits to her at the team building session that he has made a mistake and wants her back - but not in a romantic, genuine way. To make things easy for her, hunky American colleague Hudson is on hand to pretend to be her boyfriend to get him off her back. Anna, believing Hudson to be gay confides in him and starts to get on with him really well. Anna also has an ongoing flirtation with a mystery male who after a mistaken text, has started chatting to her and suggests they might meet. Meanwhile, Anna's best friend Sophie, is still suffering. Pregnant for the third time, with demon children and a next to useless husband, she continues to obsess over Hudson. This is a sweet read - fluffy and comforting, with lots of great characters. Perhaps a little predictable (I don't think there are going to be any major twists or surprises) it is a charming read and I look forward to Part 3.
Wildflower Park: A Budding Romance is the 2nd book in the Wildflower Park series. In Book 1 we were introduced to the main characters Anna and Sophie, and the mysterious Hudson. They went on a trip for a team building event. During a lighthearted game (organized by the team) Anna suddenly stormed out of the room in tears when someone asked her a question. Wildflower Park—Part Two follows the events that took place afterwards.
I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed Part 1. In Part 2, Anna and Hudson seem to be getting along alright—is romance budding between these two? And Liam, is he being honest about his feelings towards Anna or does he have an agenda? We finally meet Anna's mystery texter—they've even gone on a date. I sympathized with Sophie—she is definitely at the end of her rope. Will her husband, Dave finally step up? And Sophie's surprise announcement—will she change her mind? Looking forward to Part 3! I definitely recommend.
Thank you to Bella Osborne, Avon Books UK and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Wildflower Park part two is starting to hot up as more happens and more is revealed in Anna and Sophie’s lives. This part sees Anna revealing a bit more of her earlier life and we start to see how it has had effects on how her life is now and we also start to realise that Sophie is starting to reach boiling point and to be honest with the way her husband is taking her for granted! I’m not going into this as it’s only 90 odd pages long but this I think is leading up to be one of the best series I’ve read by Bella Osborne. I’m loving that usually Anna would be the lead character but I feel that in this series the lead role is shared between the best friends as I am equally invested in Sophie’s life asi am in Anna’s. I would like to thank Netgalley and Avon Books UK for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.
The second part of the Wildflower Park series continues with more relationship problems for Anna. Liam her ex, seems to be regretting his decision, but does she really want to go there again? Hudson is an enigma and proves a supportive friend, and the face behind the text is revealed.
There are some interesting twists in this book, which alter Anna's perception of certain people in her life. There are many laugh-out-loud moments, especially for those who have looked after young children.
The characters continue to develop in a pleasing way, and the story still has secrets. Ending on an emotional cliffhanger again, I need to read part three. I received a copy of this book from Avon Books UK via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon UK for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed the first installment of this serialized novel, but this second part did not work for me - it didn't seem to move the story along much, and I didn't care for the characters as much as I did in part one. I am hopeful that it picks back up again in the third section, and I will continue reading to see if it does. It once again delivers a mild cliffhanger, but this one is not as intriguing to me as the one at the end of part one.
I feel I will need to finish all four installments before I can recommend this book in its entirety.
I was looking forward to this next installment in the series- these are short-to see what would happen next to Anna and Sophie. These two are at different places in their lives but they're best friends and so good for one anther. Anna, whose fiancé Liam ditched her, has gotten a cat and now she's thinking about Hudson (in addition to her mysterious texture). This installment is more about Sophie and her husband Dave. Sophie's overwhelmed by her family and she's pregnant again. Don't worry, you know things are going to work out. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.
This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. After reading part 1 I had to pick up part 2! There was such a cliffhanger at the end of part 1 and I was hoping to know more about that in this book....well we did get to know a little more but I still have questions. Again this book is relatively short at only 87 pages but a lot happens in those few pages. I read this in less than 24 hours. I was so hooked! Anna really develops in this book and we get to see a lot more of best friend Sophie.
Anna really opens up in this book. She goes on a date with a mystery texter and starts to get closer to Hudson. Oh and if that's not enough her ex Liam wants her back! I was really happy for Anna in this instalment. She gives her mystery texter a chance and starts to see the softer side of Hudson. I am intrigued to see what happens next for Anna.
We get to see more of Sophie's life in this part. Sophie's situation is one I have heard other people be in. It's a common situation but I wanted her to do more about it. It seemed she had resigned herself to her fate. I hope in the rest of the series this changes.
Again Bella leaves us with another cliffhanger although for me this one wasn't a surprise. I can't wait to grab part 3!
I gave Wildflower Park (Part One) a five star review and part two, A Budding Romance was just as good. We are back with Anna, Sophie and Hudson. This time we have missing children, a theme party and a date. This book is a great way to spend an hour or so losing yourself in Wildflower Park and I look forward to part three.
Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author for the chance to review.
I would highly recommend you read part 1 before this book. This is a short section of an entire story(part 2) set in 4 parts of Wildflower Park series. It continues the life of Anna and her best friend and neighbor, Sophia. Funny and an easy read, just the right length if you're busy and want something quick to lighten your mood. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
This review is for the first 3 parts of this series....which could easily have made one novel. That is basically my only complaint for this series; Some laugh-out-loud humour is provided by the 2 main characters, Anna & Sophie, as well as some very heart-warming moments. Being young and single is not all it's cracked up to be, but marriage is not always a happy ever after either.
I am loving this series although I want to read it all at once! We follow Anna and Sophie at work and home. Anna's ex comes in to the company and she has to get to know Hudson better , so that they can fight for their jobs. I am really keen to read more.
