Super sweet story, with a scary long slow burn ;-; And ahhh Xi Wei and Klaire are so sweet together, even prior to their rebirth, and I also adore the other side characters (and couples)!

One thing I definitely wish had been stronger was the whole sci-fi element, because I always enjoy my romances with a good worldbuilding, but enjoyed it enough to overlook that some parts felt under-explained / the pacing felt a little off.

Definitely feel this would have hit me harder if I read it in instalments instead of in bulk, but it was a lovely read regardless.

An entertaining ABO (Omegaverse) novel with super slow burn romance. The premise is pretty interesting where the MC transmigrated along with his previous life memories intact into an infant in another universe where he is considered as rare breed important for the continuity of his species. As an omega he has to live with oppression as his freewill and freedom was taken away due to his unique status in society and even had to conform to arranged marriage. What is worst is that he is essentially a straight male, the very idea of marrying another male and giving births makes his skin crawl and turns his stomach. Basically the story is focused on how the seme who has transmigrated along with the uke (the MC) tries his very best to wins over the uke whom he has loved long before their reincarnation into this ABO universe. To the seme, it's like he is given a second chance to capture the love of his life which he was not able to in their previous lifetime. This new and unique environment has given the seme new hope as he could now freely pursue the MC without suffering society's condemnation.

I really like that the MC is not a pushover and could totally takes care of himself even though his breed is supposed to be the weaker sex. He is headstrong and defies the very definition of an omega. He is strong, feisty and highly spirited. Even all those alphas around him are wary of his presence. At times I did pity his devoted and loyal wannabe-seme for having to cater to his willfulness. But that guy is a super resilient and patience even though he knew his chances are rather slim since his target is a highly prideful heterosexual male. The slow burn romance is frustratingly slow but I have enjoyed the seme's undying devotion and passion towards the uke.

Besides the main couple's lengthy courtship, the story is adequately peppered with some action scenes such as mech and airspace battle plus political conspiracies. It also has interesting side characters with their own set of romances to keep us readers entertained.

I gave this novel a 4 stars because there are some questionable plotlines and I find that the wrap up of the main couple's difficult courtship was too abrupt and hastily done hence a little killjoy there.

Ahhh DZL, one of my preferred writers. This is a relatively short book for DZL tbh (though I've only read 3 books), as many of DZL's popular books are over 500k CN words.

Well, the length of the book was a little short, as it was borderline rushed/ perfunctory. Based on the synopsis, the MC was reborn as a NEWLY BORN SON. You read that right. We read about the MC growing up since birth. At the ending, the MC was about mid-20s. So can you imagine squeezing in 20 years in a novel that can be finished in a day? There were just lots of time skips, especially skipping most of the school life. To satisfy the readers, there is one side CP to whet readers' appetite while waiting for the MC and ML to mature.

As usual in an ABO setting, there's discrimination among the secondary genders - Alpha being superior over other genders, yada yada. I can't judge how terrible the treatment of Omegas was, as the book wasn't explicit about the home environment of the general population. We are reading from the POV of the good guys, so the treatment of Omegas was fairly respectful, though they were mainly birthing machines. In general, Omegas did not have much future in the novel's society other than being destined to give birth since Betas have low birth rates. Based on the antagonists' actions, it seems as if they did not have much choice in their choice of spouse as well. I would say that the Alphas in the couples we read about all went through quite a few hardships. My fav side Alpha is definitely the poor toolman General.

There are quite a few plot twists in the novels. Some were expected, while some weren't.

Interactions between the MC and ML and between the other CPs were quite varied, as there were vast character differences between all the characters. There were lots of dogfood/ fluff/ sweetness with the number of CPs in the novels. Smut was none, as they were all fade-to-black. Lots of buns, but not much focus was given on them as we read about them growing up pretty quickly. MC's siblings in particular played such a minor role, even though MC had 3 other siblings. The lowest appearance rate was his 2 poor sisters.

There are surprisingly few female Alphas. Based on what I recall, there were only 2, which is pretty regrettable.

Overall, I feel that the novel was pretty interesting to read. Not the best ABO out there, but definitely nice to read. Worth a one-time read, but I feel it has low re-read value.

OMG I'm finally done. I actually read this book like a month ago but was missing the last 2 extras. Now I'm reading in middle of the night so I'm writing this with the 2 braincells that are still working. Right now I don't remember much about the novel, I remember the plot itself but not many details, and I like what I remember. It is an interesting take on the abo genre (is it considered a genre? Idk, I'm dying), very refreshing after the massive cuantity of the same omegaverse with the same alpha and omega that love each other because reasons. Even if this is a shonen ai in all the sense of the word, it was a solid read with lovely mls, we love Klaire here followed by Carlo, and I liked a lot the protagonist, dense as a rock but with an awsome personality that carried the plot in an interesting way. I have a little beef with Adrien but we're not talking about that. Now I'm gonna go to sleep because I'm running on 1 braincell right now, so if you excuse me...

Ok. Não é o que eu esperava. A sipnose me vendeu algo totalmente diferente do que eu recebi.

i really liked the premise and i really enjoyed the beginning and the end of this book. all of the middle stuff wasn't as good as i hoped. the secondary characters will also be a pretty big focus in this story, too.

I dropped it after 90% into the story. Just couldn’t keep up with the logic and too many plot holes. I like the side couples more and they have more screen time. World building could be better.

Dropped @ Ch 24. Cnt really stand the unlogicness. 5 years old but act like grown up. Also boring, slow and there's still too many chapters so might as well drop early

DNF - at chapter 23. Very interesting premise but I just lost interest when the transmigration was clarified between the two leads.

I probably think this book is actually a good read and I just need to give it a chance. I don’t think I was in the space to read it when I picked it up.

I stopped at chapter 23, so I will definitely pick this up when I’m in a better suited mood to appreciate it.

Super slow burn romance but worth it. The only cons in my opinion are that a lot of time wasted on the secondary couples when the main couples has 0 progress yet.
