When Titus takes over as manager of Midwest Blood Services, he immediately notices Regan, and she notices him right back—until she realizes he took the job for which she had been vying. If that’s not bad enough, he’s there to find out who has been skimming from the register and she’s one of the suspects. Is it possible to fall in love with someone you’re not sure you can trust?
Regan expects to be promoted to manager at the blood bank, after the previous managers leaves, but is surprised when a new guy is brought in for the job. Little does she know, she's being investigated, along with her coworkers, for theft. Her disappointment in losing the job title quickly dissolves as she begins to be interested in the new manager, Titus. This book was much shorter than I anticipated so I read it within an hour but enjoyed every minute of it. This is a book for anyone who enjoys a good sweet romance.
I am not typically a fan of short stories but this one proved to be an exception. I was able to establish a connection with the characters from the beginning. You feel for Regan not getting the promotion it seemed like she deserved. Titus has a job to do but was attracted to Regan & grew to like her more as they spent time together. This was s sweet, quick read that draws you in.
This is a short, sweet, clean, contemporary romance. The characters are likable. The setting of Crystal Creek has familiar places from other books by Heather Tullis. Well written, this is a fun afternoon read.
A mutual attraction that has some complications since Reagan is one of many suspects that Titus has been tasked with determining who is skimming money from their job. A short read that will keep you entertained. I enjoyed this story. I was gifted this book as an arc. This is my honest review.
