Janus is the Phoenix Rising Series a continuation of the Phoenix Rebellion Series. Ms Delaney continues to make this saga better with each book. She has me crying within the first few pages. Then gasping by the end! She knows how to draw the reader in and keep them hooked.
Reading one of Gail Delaney’s books is like curling up next to a fire under your favorite blanket while overlooking the steep drop off of an extremely high cliff. It’s beautiful, exhilarating, a little nerve wracking at times, but you know everything will be just fine in the end.
I was two pages into the book and she almost had me in tears. That’s how quickly Gail can draw you into a scene and pull on your heartstrings.
I LOVED the Phoenix Rebellion series, and I am ecstatic with how the Phoenix Rising series has started.
There are some characters…well, really one character, I wish hadn’t made it into this series, but I understand why they are here. I won’t spoil anything, but I’m hoping our amazing story teller and author has a spectacular ending in the works.
Anyway, While most of the main characters from the Phoenix Rebellion series make appearances in Janus, there are new characters introduced as well, and Jennifer might be my new favorite for the entire series. She’s a talented badass, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.
Janus is a spectacular story and the perfect starter to this second half of the saga. *runs off to get the next book*
