Henry King "Hank" Ketcham was an American cartoonist who created the Dennis the Menace comic strip, writing and drawing it from 1951 to 1994, when he retired from drawing the daily page and took up painting full time in his studio at his home. He received the Reuben Award for the strip in 1953. The strip continues today in the hands of other artists.
I could never find these annuals or specials back in 1969-71, except at the home of one friend who saved copies. This is a castoff from the bargain bin at my local comics shop... and I love seeing what used to be! Dennis goes with his Mom and Dad to D.C., visiting sites, and, comedy ensues; well-drawn and lettered in an educational travel narrative. Credits due to the studio of Mr. Ketchum, uncredited here...
