My favourite part about the book is when weir achieves his goal of becoming apart of the soccer team as a goalie.

The weir series is amazing because each book enables me to learn more about weir.

{My thoughts} – This was a fun book, like all the previous in the series. Weir and his family are definitely a bunch of weirdos. But it’s alright, because they kind of help to make weird seem rather cool in a way.

This series helps to show children that it’s okay to be different. It shows children that it’s okay to embrace those differences. In this book Weirs mom enters his dad into a contest. The contest allows his dad to show off the weirdest aspect of himself, which happens to be his strange dance moves. Everyone in the family pitches in and shows him some of their strange dance moves and when it comes time for the contest. His dad uses a combination of everyone’s ideas and dance moves.

His mom is always entering contests that let them each show off their differences between everyone around them. I kind of think thats a really neat that she helps them to embrace it. I look forward to reading the next book in the series soon!

The third book of Weir Do is just as funny as the first 2. This time Weir is trying out for the talent show and the prize is..... dog food! Although Weir Do does not have a dog, his parents want him to join the talent show. His dad enters the contest and Weir has to be his partner when no one else will... will they win? Will Weir Do get a dog or will he be eating all the dog food?

3.5 An entertaining light read. Initially filled with gross humour like boogers and bird poop that i thought kids who are already confident readers might no longer find funny. But surprisingly the book sums up to a satisfying read (with things neatly tying up in the end i.e. integrating dance and soccer, sharing prize with dog lady).

I am very much not the target demographic but this book is amazing, what is more beneficial to a kid who feels like a weirdo than a kid literally named Weir Do. I love how they address that yeah his name is weirdo, and in some aspects that unfortunate, but he doesn't care. He has lots of friends, makes mistakes, but always ends up okay and happy by the end.

Here we go again WeirDo 3. Ok listen this book is good but it is definitely my least favourite out of the three. It just seems like it was rushed and the stories were really similar to the first 2. Iv'e said this before but i love Anh Do but this book was a little sloppy. 3/5

Third book in the off beat humorous and engaging series about Weir Do by Ayn Do the artist, author, actor, and almost everything else it seems. A fun read, with lots of pictures and not many words, but it is still all of irresistible charm. Roll on more Weir Do boys!

In the third Weir Do book, Weir joins the soccer team and dances with his dad on stage at a weird talent contest. It’s best to read these books in order, but you can still follow the easy narrative. Short book. Illustrations. Boy humour. As expected.
