Rematch
An assassin's life is filled with many challenges. She has to be ready at a moment's notice to drop behind enemy lines and do what is necessary to complete her mission.
Even if it means putting on a pair of skates and joining the Sinful Sliders in a rematch to determine once and for all who won the Louisiana Derby Championship of 1982. Should be an easy mission, right?
Wrong. Someone else has other plans, and attacks one of the opposing skaters before the championship bout, dropping clues that frame an innocent man and point toward Ida Belle as an accomplice.
A WORD FROM THE AUTHOR: Rematch was first published on August 25, 2016 as part of the Miss Fortune Kindle Worlds program (which ended in July of 2018). It is now part of the Miss Fortune World published by J&R Fan Fiction. I wish to thank Ms. DeLeon for graciously allowing other writers to explore their own writing in a most Sinful way.
Sinful Stories is a series of stories written by Shari Hearn within the Miss Fortune World featuring Fortune, Gertie and Ida Belle. They may be read in any order; however, they do follow the timeline of Jana DeLeon's Miss Fortune series with regard to Fortune's relationship with Carter. With the earlier books in the series, Carter doesn't know Fortune's true identity. As Jana DeLeon's series changes with regard to Fortune's continued threat from Ahmad, future stories within Sinful Stories will reflect those changes.

Skating has never been so dangerous
The 1982 roller derby championship has been contested for decades. Sinful and Mudbug had teams that were always fighting for the championship. They decide to have a rematch to determine which team is the true rulers. Since several team members had passed on or had health issues, each team was allowed to have a ringer. Fortune is elected to join the Sinful Sliders and has to learn how to skate. Bunny from Mudbug team gets attacked outside the rink and evidence is used to frame Ida Belle and Andre. Swamp Team 3 kicks it into high gear to find out who tried to kill Bunny. Lila Rose prevented Bunny from being killed but was in her alter ego Poppy so she couldn't remember what happened when she was Lila Rose. A great well thought out story. Please continue with you story lines, Shari.

Missing much of the humor I've come to expect from the characters
If these weren't characters from another author's world building, this would have been a good story, well-written and executed. However, the humor for which these characters are known is missing from this story. I liked the idea of a roller derby rematch and would have liked to see the elbows flying during a rematch. Instead, very little has to do with the rematch, which, surprise, never occurs.
I would vastly prefer to see this stories written with an entirely new set of characters in a new location.

Great book
I have loved all of Sheri Hearn's Fortune World books I've read so far. I figured out who the culprit was pretty quickly in this one but that didn't take away from the enjoyment as I didn't know how it play out. I can still imagine Gertie in the hot tub and have to laugh. Can't wait to read the next one. I've already bought them all.

Swamp team 3 are at it again
I love this series by Shari Hearn. In this book Ida Belle Fortune and Gertie are doing a rematch from years ago for roller derby. When someone from the other team us attacked at the first practice and the wrong guy is being blamed the team are on the case.

Another awesome book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was full of twists and turns as the characters kept it interesting and fun! I’m going to state on the next one immediately!

Like this series. Makes me chuckle
I read the whole series. The trio of women are pretty funny. There sure a lot of crime in Sinful!!
