Aside from the shenanigans of aeroplane technicalities, the story of jet engine pioneers and how they unfolded through tribulations made it worth the read for engineering enthusiasts /hobbyists.
Many geniuses are celebrated, but they are mostly discouraged. And it's very normal to most pioneer books I read. Same for this book... it's bittersweet.
