Iron Fury MC #6

Our Final Tale

Rate this book
SLATER
For over a decade I searched for her.
She disappeared a long time ago.
But I never gave up.
Seeing her again, it was the only thing that kept me holding on for so long.
Clutching onto the small chance that she might know who I am when I found her again.
If I found her again.
It was always a big if.
But I wasn’t going to rest until I got answers, alive or dead, I would find her.
I needed to know what happened to the girl who took my heart when we were younger, and kept it for well over a decade.
She owns every single piece of who I am.
Nobody else has ever come close.
And now I’ve found her.
And she’s lookin’ at me like she doesn’t know who I am.
Like I wasn’t her first kiss.
Her first boyfriend.
Her first love.
Her first heartbreak.
The man who took her innocence.
The man who destroyed her, and caused her to run.
The man who spent ten years trying to find her, because of one pathetic, pitiful mistake.
I ruined her.
And now she has no idea who I am.
Not a single damned clue.

ELLIE
I don’t know who he is.
And yet something about him seems strangely familiar.
I know nothing of who I am.
All my memories are like hazy nightmares. I don’t know which ones are real and which ones are fake.
I don’t even know my own name. I don’t know anything about my past.
I only know that for the last ten years, I’ve been Raven.
Only that isn’t my real name.
But that’s what he called me.
The monster who owned me.
The monster disguised as a saint.
A monster I finally escaped.
And now there’s him.
Slater.
A man who claims to have spent the last decade searching for me.
His Ellie.
He claims I’m the love of his life.
He’s desperate for me to remember him.
But I don’t.
Even though when I look into his eyes, I feel strangely at home.
Like he’s the missing piece of who I am.
But can I trust him?
Can I trust the man who claims to love me, and yet is telling me he’s the reason for my hell?
Who is telling me, it is him, who destroyed me.
Is he a bigger monster than the one I just escaped from?

“If there is ever a single person out there who has gone above and beyond to prove themselves, it’s you…” “Told you once I’d turn the world upside down for you, Ellie. I fuckin’ meant it..”

Our Final Tale is the sixth book in the Iron Fury MC series
It has a brilliant plot, though I might be expecting too much. Their story had such a buildup from the previous books but I felt that it didn't reach the same heights. H was looking for the love of his life and when they found her she has an amnesia. I found Ellie too good to be true, she forgives very easily with after everything she’s been through. I also think that their story was more focused on their past, that I didn’t feel their character development.

Overall it was still a good read. I like the entire series 😊
Looking forward to the story of the Knight brothers 😉

Yawn.
Not the author best book.
It should be angsty but it was not.
The hero dumps the heroine because he’s involved with the bad guys, so she won’t be connected to him, and this is just for a couple of days, when he realizes he is better with her she’s already been taken and sold to a psycho who holds her and beats her but he doesn’t rape her. He’s some kind of priest? Pastor? I don’t understand why he couldn’t keep her and not have sex with her, it’s a very pitiful attempt of the author to keep the heroines purity which was really unnecessary because she was beaten and abused in every other way.
Meh.
After ten years she manages to escape and the hero finds her, he never stopped to try to find her but apparently it was impossible.
She has no memory, why? Was she beaten so hard that she didn’t remember her past?
Was her trauma?
I just could not feel the angst.
And I didn’t like the back and forth between the past they shared, I think they were together a year or so when she was 18 and he was some year older.
They reconnect too easily especially the sex part, a girl who spent one third of her life in captivity with a monster is not so easily at ease with another man, especially since he doesn’t remember him.
The book is not that bad, but it’s not especially well done.
The heroine never blames the hero, while the hero always blamed himself because he put her in harm’s way, but actually he couldn’t know the villains were there to grab her, just moments after they broke up.
So the angst is barely there.
And yes, she’s scared of the psycho who, for some unknown and vague reason, wants her back at any costs, even if he has dozens of men ready to kill him.
It seems to me a bit too much, after all he didn’t even have sex with her which is something that, when a woman is kidnapped and detained, usually happens.
So there are too many things that look inconsistent and all over the place.
Safety .
The hero had sex with other women during those years, I suppose.
The heroine was raped by the men who kidnapped her but not by her abuser.
Again, meh.

4.5 fantastically intense stars!

Love this book! A broken man, a girl with no memory, and a super-intense second-chance-romance with a twist, this book held me captivated from first page to the last, and I could not put it down!

I signed up for the blog tour for this book, loving the idea of the story, but at the time I didn’t know it was part of a series. When I found out I’d be diving straight into book #6, I was seriously twitchy as I’m usually obsessive about reading series in order. But this book easily stands on its own, and though there are other characters introduced that have clearly had their stories already told, there are no spoilers for their books, and at no point did I feel like I was missing out on anything. It’s actually made me want to go back and read the whole lot of them, so I’m really glad I picked this one up.

Ellie has just escaped ten years of captivity and torture at the hands of a psychopath. She doesn’t know the man who took her, or where she was held, only that he called her ‘Raven’. Now she is back ‘home’ where she belongs, but she has no memory of her life before her captivity, or even who she is. She’s just starting to get her life back on track when three bikers appear on her doorstep, one of them declaring that he is the love of his life and that’s he’s been looking for her all this time.

Slater Knight is the man who fell to pieces when Ellie was taken from him. For ten years he has searched for her, all while losing pieces of himself along the way as he descended into hell, drowning in guilt, fear and anger. And now she’s back and their reunion is nothing like he was expecting.

I needed to know what happened to the girl who took my heart when we were younger, and kept it for well over a decade. She owns every single piece of who I am. Nobody else has ever come close.
And now she’s lookin’ at me like she doesn’t know who I am.

Ellie is understandably terrified. She has no clue who she is, who Slater is, or who she can even trust, and she has no guarantees that her memory will even return. And when she discovers that the man who took her is still looking for her, she’s scared for her very life. The Police can only do so much, so she turns to Slater, his family, and their MC for protection, and Slater is only too willing to step in and be there for his girl.

“I lost her once, I’m not goin’ to fuckin’ lose her again.”

I love the set-up for this book, and Jewel hits you with the feels from the very first moment. I could feel Ellie’s fear, I could feel Slater’s heartache, and I was right there with both of them through every stage of their story.

The book is written in alternating chapters between past and present, so we get the fantastic YA/NA romance which began at their first meeting when she is 17 and he is 21. Slater lives with his father and his three fabulous brothers, and when foster-child Ellie moves in next door, she is pretty much adopted into his family and the relationship between them is just gorgeous. But the connection between Slater and Ellie is unique from the very beginning, and I loved watching their open honesty with each other as their friendship/infatuation effortlessly shifted into all-consuming love.

The moment I laid eyes on her. She was mine. She was always fuckin’ mine.

In the present, Slater is trying hard to be respectful and keep his distance from Ellie, but he’s a man who has been destroyed by her absence, and who finally has his whole life back in front of him. It’s a heartbreaking situation he’s in as he wants nothing more than to claim his girl back, but he knows he needs to be patient, and I could feel the intensity in every single encounter.

“Do you…do you think I’ll remember?”
He meets my eyes. “Fuckin’ hope so, darlin’.”

Slater is so amazing. How can you not fall for a man who loves so deeply and so devotedly? His torment literally drips off the page as he holds nothing back in his fight for Ellie. He lets her know exactly how he feels, he pours his heart out over and over again and his possessiveness and protectiveness is shiver-inducing.

“I’m the one who searched. I’m the one who broke. I’m the one who lived in fuckin’ agony for ten years. So, I’m the one who will end this for you. Who will fix it.”

“If you think I don’t need you, Ellie, you’re so fuckin’ incredibly wrong. I’ve needed nothing but you for every waking second since you left. I’m never goin’ to be the same unless you’re in my world, because fuck, you are my world.”

And through it all, Ellie struggles to figure out her life, how to fit these new pieces into the life she was just beginning to reclaim, and how to reconcile the feeling of safety and ‘rightness’ that she feels with this man who she can’t even remember.

I really want to know what Slater Knight meant to me.
And I won’t stop until I find out.

But the shadow of the past is looming over her, and Slater has a devastating truth that he is wrestling. Their heartache is not over yet, and as danger looms ever closer, they’ll have to trust the strength of their connection to get through it all.

This is a beautiful, beautiful story, and I was glued to my kindle as it all played out. There are ups and downs, heartache and horror, and a whole lot of sweet moments as Ellie is reintroduced into her old life. Her relationships with Slater’s brothers, in particular, is beautifully written, and I loved seeing how much they all meant to each other as they all gather around to be there for her. The MC aspect of the story is minimal – they are a part of the club, but there’s no real club ‘business’ to speak of, more that they are a bunch of protective badasses who have each other’s backs. So I wouldn’t call this a full-on MC book, but the general themes of family and brotherhood are definitely there. This is Slater and Ellie’s book through and through, and it’s a wonderfully intense love story with all the feels.

Such a great read, I loved it.

4.5 stars.

I liked the sass Ellie had, "...you have to work a whole lot harder than this for my sexual affections. I’m simply telling you I like you, and maybe, I don’t know, you can go ahead and take me out. You just keep it in your pants.” I loved teasing Slater, "I glance down at my body, covered in dirt and sweat, and then look back up. “Right now I’m every woman’s fantasy, darlin’.” I liked this book, I fell in love wit Slater.

Our Final Tale by Bella Jewel
“Second chances and suspense, 5 stars”

Ellie doesn’t remember her past, but she does know she was abused. When a ghost from her past comes forward she knows she’s safe, or is she? Will Ellie learn to listen to her heart and put her doubts aside or will she let her mind stop her from getting her happily ever after?
Slater has been looking for Ellie for ten years and finally he’s found her. Unfortunately, nothing is the same and he has an up-hill battle to fight when it comes to winning her back. When danger is upon her he will do anything to keep her safe. But the question is, is his heart in danger or is she willing to embrace it for its always been hers?
Our Final Tale is unlike anything of Jewel’s I’ve read before. I’ve read her sweet happy stories and enjoyed them, but I honestly think I enjoyed this more. I loved the suspense of wondering what happened to Ellie and if she was finally safe. The love Slater has for her pours off the page. If you love a story with a strong love behind it and some suspense look no further. I personally can’t wait to see what else Jewel has in store for this series.

A completely unique read filled with twists and turns keeping you constantly on edge Our Final Tale kept me hooked start to finish. I devoured this in a matter of hours unable to step away from Ellie and Slater’s story for even a moment! These two have not only a beautiful love but one of the most gripping stories I’ve ever read. I loved the blending of past and present. Shrouded in mystery, slowly coming together to unravel how Ellie ended up where she was and bringing her and Slater back together.
Ellie and Slater have the epic kind of love that nothing can stop. And I mean nothing. Time, distance, missing memories, and trauma all stand in their way but these two beat back all those things. That kind of heart stealing romance combined with the edge of your seat mystery and suspense made for one heck of a ride!

(4.5 stars)

Finally we get Slater and Ellie's story. We learnt in an earlier book that Slater and Ellie were madly in love when she was taken. For 10 years Slater searched for her, slowly losing himself to his guilt and depression over her abduction. Now, after surviving 10 years of hell, Ellie is back, but only knows herself as Raven and has no memory whatsoever of Slater or her life "before".

Wow! This was really good. Getting a few glimpses into Ellie and Slater's past, what happened to her while she was gone and what caused her to be taken in the first place gives you their full story. As usual, Bella Jewel wrote another page turner that had you wondering just how the Iron Fury MC were going to stop the bad guy when he inevitably came calling. I'm looking forward to Lincoln's book now. 4.5 stars for Our Final Tale.

This was alright.. the ending could have been much better. Its more a to be continued not really a HEA no I love yous or anything. It would have been nice had the heroine gotten her memory back somewhat regarding the Hero. This book doesn’t scream romance.

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.

Reviewed by Cathy Stansell from Rochelle's Reviews

I have read all the five previous books in this series so I was so excited to read this one. As usual Bella Jewel let us have it all. I love the way she writes and keeps me so excited to read on. Thanks Bella for this wonderful addition to the series.

This is a wonderful motorcycle romance. It has all of what I love to read the darkness, the excitement. I just love reading motorcycle books for that very reason.

Slater is desperate to find the love of his life. He has looked and looked for her. He doesn't know when and if he will lay eyes on her again. He will keep on looking forever. He has been searching every where. He will not be complete till he finds her. He has tried other woman but they are not her. And look there she is but wait she is looking at me like she has never seen me

Ellie has had a bad few years. That devil that was holding her captive did not call her that. Her name was Raven to him. Now she might be safe. Or will she? She has meet some guy named Slater who insist that he knows her. She can't for the life of her remember him. He looks sadly at her because she really can't figure out who he is. One thing though he has a way about him that seems very familiar but she can't put her finger on it. What is it about him?

This book is one of those books you CAN NOT put down. The love that Slater has for Ellie is so heartwarming. Ellie is such a tough thing but life has made her that way. Will they get it together so they can get together?

I have to say this book was so exciting that it was hard to put down. If you have read Bella Jewel before this one is different. But I loved it. Bella this one is a great one!

Currently putting up past reviews from my Blog on GR because I forgot at the time oops 😅

My Rating: 3 and a half stars

This was a good book with a solid story and a nice overall pace to everything. This was exactly what I was looking for during the time I read it.

I liked how Ellie's story was told. She was unsure of everything after going through what happened to her. She's skittish and untrusting of most people because it's all she remembers or doesn't remember. This is one of the rare times that I can learn to like amnesia in a story. Considering all of that though she still makes very dumb and rash decisions and almost pays the ultimate price for them.

The way the story was told made it impossible for me to not like and respect Slater to a degree. He's made a lot of mistakes but the ultimate goal was to always help and keep his family together. I liked that he didn't give up on Ellie. The circumstances were impossible but he was always there trying to make things right at the very least.

I liked the Then and Now chapters to this book. It made everything click by the end and made for a cute love story from the beginning. Though I would love for this book to get another round of editing.

The ending was exactly what I needed to story to end with. Things weren't perfect but it was better than it started. It seems like the stories in the series intertwines with every book. Too bad I picked book #6 to start things off.

My Favorite Quotes:

"All the best people are broken. It's what makes them strong. It's what makes them who they are."

"How can one single person have such a huge impact in a matter of seconds."

"I don't need to know you at all, to know what broken looks like."

Slater has been looking for Ellie for years and year knowing he would never love someone the way he loved her. The Iron fury mc make him an offer he can't refuse help them and they would help him find Ellie. After ten years of looking for her, Ellie is finally found only she can't remember anything, about her past. Slater is determined to protect Ellie and help her remember who she is. This book is so good and I absolutely love all books that are written by Bella Jewel

I loved the premise of this book but I thought it could have been 50 to 100 pages longer to flesh out the plot and characters. But what I really wanted was more time/interactions between Ellie and Slater in the present. Overall it was a fun read but I just wanted more.

I loved this from start to finish. This is the sixth book in the series but it can totally be read as a standalone, I did have my doubts, but they were soon put to rest from the first page. The characters are so well developed that I feel like I've known them for a long time.

Ten years ago Slater broke up with Ellie to keep her safe or so he thought. This just wasn't the case as Ellie was taken because of his mistake, trying to clear his brother Lincoln's mess. Slater has not stopped looking for her since she went missing. Ten years after her capture Ellie escapes but with no memory previous to her kidnap. My heart hurt so much for Slater when he found Ellie and she didn't remember him, but she did have feelings that felt familiar to her. He swore he would never let anyone take her away again. That is easier said than done though, when the thing Ellie escapes from is back to claim her again!!

This is a great read and one I definitely recommend. I feel such a connection with the characters in this book I am going to one click the rest of the series. I also can't wait for Lincoln's story.

Well what can I say except that Bella Jewel still remains one of my favourite authors. This is the 6th book in the Iron Fury series and I actually like many others thought it was the last! but alas, I believe there will be more which pleases me greatly.

Now don't get me wrong this hasn't been my favourite in this series and I had a couple of gripes with it but it still packs a punch right to the gut and will evoke the emotions from you from start to finish. There is no point in me going over the blurb because let's face it, if you're reading this then I would have expected you to have been following the series so far and have the gist of whats happening. Slater and Ellie's background stories are told in full, giving you a better understanding of whats been happening since the last book. There's quite a bit of backwards and forwards from past to present but it's extremely easy to follow so you won't get lost.

The characters themselves are well written and matured although I did want to shake Ellie a couple of times but give her a chance as it's all because of what she has been through.
Slater kinda broke my heart as I totally felt his frustrations and emotions because the girl he's loved for so long can't remember. Now my overall Gripe was that I thought there was parts of the story especially the ending that seemed a little rushed but I just though we could have had more of an insight if it had been extended a little more in places.

Overall another great addition to this series and I can't wait for whatever is next from Bella Jewel.

I loved this book! Slater lost everything when Ellie disappeared ten years ago. He’s never stopped looking for her and when he finally finds her again, she has no memory of him or their past making it even harder for him to get her to give him a chance.

Ellie will break your heart. The stuff she’s been through shows you how strong she is inside and even though it’s taken a while she’s now finally starting to find her feet. With a lot of missing memories Ellie doesn’t know who the man is that makes her feel safe, nor does she know who the man is that’s now closing in again. All she knows is she isn’t going back to the man she called Master without a fight and if that means letting Slater Knight into her life than that’s what she’ll do.

Slater and Ellie’s relationship is complicated. Both are struggling. Ellie with her lack of memories and Slater is nearly crippled with the guilt of knowing he’s the reason Ellie disappeared and for what she’s been through.

Slater has got to be my favourite Iron Fury man (I know I probably said this in all my reviews for the books in this series but he’s definitely my number one biker). He’s the perfect mixture of troubled, sweetness and bad ass biker. Ellie is definitely the star of this book. She’s so strong but so fragile it’s hard not to like her.

This book can be read as a stand-alone although I would recommend you read the rest of the series at some point and it’s definitely my favourite so far.

Title: Our Final Tale (Iron Fury MC, #6)
Author: Bella Jewel
Genre: Suspense, Contemporary Romance
Rating: 5/5

📚🤓 The Book Whisperer 🤓📚

Arc received in return for an honest review.

The wait is over Ms Jewel is back with this, the sixth instalment in the Iron Fury MC series, there are elements of the MC world within the book but no "club business" as such, it’s more of a second chance love story mixed with mystery and suspense.

Ten years ago Slater and Ellie were young and in love with the world at their feet all was well until it wasn’t, Ellie was abducted and in a way both her and Slater lost themselves that day, he lost himself in a world depression and guilt whilst she lost her identity. Now ten years later Ellie’s back but she’s obviously not the same person she once was, infact she’s now Raven with no memory of Slater or the person she was before. Will she ever get her previous life back and remember who she was? Who took her and why? But most importantly will she ever remember Slater, and how much in love they were? As for Slater, will he get her back as well as revenge on those who took her?. Read this amazing book and find out all the who, what and why’s?

Bella Jewel has given us another page turning five star read, with glimpses into the past giving us a full understanding of the storyline then a gripping conclusion paving the way for the next book in this amazing series.

Ten years prior, Ellie was taken by a vicious man and Slater spent all that time looking for her. Now that she's found he's back to take her back to her family but she doesn't remember anything from before. Ellie met Slater when she was seventeen years old and fell in love with him and his brothers and they became her family but when a deal went wrong she became collateral damage. A decade later they reunite but Ellie remembers nothing while Slater is filled with guilt. I get why Slater was the way that he was but I feel like he should have told her things from the beginning. The whole time reading this book I wanted Ellie to get her memory back and remember Slater and his brothers but she didn't but she chose to go on following her heart and she knew deep down how much she was loved and cared for. Slater was a good man just trying to protect his brothers and felt so much guilt when Ellie was taken but he made up for it by protecting her now and making sure that he took care of the monster that took her. I liked that she decided to give them a chance and see where things would go between them. It was a good story overall.

Ok so seriously I think I have read probably about 30 of Bella Jewels book.. This woman is a phenomenal writer. We kept hearing about Slater and his Ellie that he lost.. I knew this one was going to break me.
Slater lost it all the day Ellie disappeared.. he has been searching for 10 years for her.. loosing himself in the process.
Ellie has been living a life in Hell for the past 10 year. Being sold to the highest bidder and being held against her will.. Trying numerous times to escape till finally one day she does….only to realize she does not know who she is. All she knows is the name Raven.. the name her Master called her..
Ellie and Slater were amazing.. with her trying to remember her past, and rediscovering the love she lost all those years ago.. and Slater fighting with himself thinking this is all on him.. this book ripped my heart out..
I cant wait to read about Lincoln and the rest of the boys.. here’s to hoping a Erin and Finn are in our future too

BOOK 6 IN THE SERIES - SLATER SLATER SLATER...

when Slater is brought into the series as a major player in the previous books he comes across a certain way but in this book he really gets a chance to flourish and show who he is. I'd have to say if these characters were ever real slate would have to be my second favourite of them all. Hes so well written that for those who really like these types of stories you can feel his pain throughout the process . His flashbacks felt a little long sometimes I wish I had been a little more present time and a little less flashbacks but only because I love Slater and ellie together
The series is really well written and gives a unique twist to the story telling that brings the reader back for more. First those like me that read ALOT of books on kindle this is an amazing series that will last you a couple days only because you wont want to put it down untill you've finished them all.

Slater and Ellie

This book was different from the previous books in this series. It held my attention because it didn't have the same storyline as books 1-4 did.

Slater is 1 of 4 boys, 2nd oldest. They lost their mom and their dad spiraled after that. Slater and older brother Lincoln have to provide for their family. Lincoln makes a mistake which slater comes along to fix it. During that time he makes a bigger mistake and loses Ellie. He spend the next 10 years trying to find her.

This is the only second time I have picked up one by this author but from beginning to end she owned me the reader. When you first encounter Ellie you sit up straight because you will be horrified on what her ordeal was with it leading her to here now.
If you ever needed to see a perfect picture of a broken man then this is it with Slater. So what happens when you put two broken pieces together? Especially when at one time they used to be one piece? This author will give it to you ,pulling to the edge not stopping ,taking our emotions with them. You desperately want it all right but life has its own agenda first. Peeling back the layers you will become part of this so fast your head will spin. This author knows how to take us deep and keep us their even when we scream not letting us go until she has it all out there.
