Smartly written, enjoyable story and a sweet but kickass heroine! Emily knows right away that she will be entwined with her new charge, she just doesn't think it will be as deep of a bond as actually occurs. Drake may be mission focussed but he can still recognise his mate when she appears - he just has sucky timing! I love hating Dyson - he is just so irredeemable!

And that he'll meet his long-anticipated mate. Now he just had to keep her safe...while fighting Dyson and his henchmen, er dragonmen, and unexpectedly rescuing a baby. Things got complicated very fast...
A nice, quick read with interesting characters and some hot smexy-times. This is book 3 in the series and I recommend reading them in order for maximum enjoyment.
Each story in this series moved the overall arc forward, does some interesting world building, and spends time with an interesting couple. In this case it was Drake taking center stage, and soon after he and Emily met up family became the clear theme for this installment. Adoption, living your children, bonding with children whether or not they are yours, there was a lot of love in this story.
I love this series. While Drake is on a mission he meets his mate which he never hoped would happen. Emily who never even suspected that creatures right out of legends exist has her whole life turned upside down when she meets Drake. Their story is explosive, full of drama. Love the ending. Cannot wait for the next story.
Drake is sent on a mission to scout in the Philippines. He never expected to find a baby and his mate in less than a day. Emily is a teacher on a 3 year teaching contract that is about to end and looking for an adventure before she heads back to her life in the US. I really enjoyed these two and their story. I am loving this series, and really hope that the Queen finds her mate soon.
Emily is a sweet lady. She runs into Drake on the street and they make a dinner date. Drake rescues a baby and then he has a lot of explaining to do. Emily turns into a very protective mom. Great story.
I just finished reading this book 📙and it was awesome! The characters were well developed and interesting. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
