Despite the title, the text doesn't actually flag Big vs. Small, you just infer that from the pictured pairings.

Sometimes the facing pages are connected (e.g., bears approaching a stream full of salmon) and sometimes they're not (e.g., an owl on one page and robins on the other)

Because the text is so sparse, I would probably recommend this for very young kids (while they have short attention spans).

My baby's favorite book. It holds her attention because it's bold and colorful and it's just beautiful.
