”You will not escape your destiny. I choose who comes and who goes. Who will live and who will die.”

WOW! Jessica Ruben has done it again! I am BLOWN AWAY!!! I am basking in the biggest of emotional book comas. The final tale in the Vincent and Eve trilogy, Redemption is another can’t-put-it-down delight! An IRRESISTIBLE tale of thrills, terror, tenderness, and true love. I was ENAMORED from the first page and have been UTTERLY CONSUMED with every word of the Vincent and Eve world since. Sigh. I ACHED for every word and wanted to both devour and savor this last story. The sweetest torture. A sizzling, spine-tingling and heart-stopping sensation that slays the soul. A story and series I didn’t want to end.

On my knees, I pitch forward. Eve, oh God, she makes me whole. With her, I rise.

After her debut book, Rising, Jessica Ruben raced to my radar where she has stayed. With Reckoning, Ruben became a top one-click author. After the final tale in the trilogy, Redemption, Ruben soared to unicorn author level. Yes, Jessica Ruben is my newest unicorn author who has a magic touch that I feel in every one of her raw and wonderful words. This master storyteller has set the bar so high with her DEBUT mafia romance! I’m so HEAD-OVER-HEELS IN LOVE with this series, one that has marked my heart and soul for life.

I’m harder now, but at least I’m not crumbling.

In this last story of the scintillating Vincent and Eve series, the pieces of the puzzle come together in what is a tightly-woven, pulse-pounding plotted saga. I was sucked into a heartbreakingly beautiful world of broken characters, a moving mafia plot, and a love story of strength and survival with all the feels. The hero and heroine have been through hell, and the journey to redemption is not a battle but a war of heart, soul, strength, and survival. The force between Vincent and Eve—such compelling and caring characters—is one of fate with a combustible connection that is unstoppable. I loved the way that Vincent and Eve are so highly attuned to each other like a sixth sense. A stunning connection of soulmates that I felt everywhere.

Vincent, the only man on earth with the ability to break me into pieces.

Redemption explodes with emotion! All the highs and lows. All the swoon. A story that sizzles and slays. Fiery. Flawless. Fearless. Feel-worthy. Redemption takes you so far to the edge that you’ll be powerless to stop the fall of feels. UNSTOPPABLE! I was on edge nearly the whole time as this tale tortured me in the best way. The anxiety made me contemplate downing shots of whiskey. I caught myself holding my breath again and again. I cried all the happy and heartfelt tears as this story was both my calm and storm, one I felt to the depths of my soul.

”You’re my life,” he growls. “My everything. Do you know that?”

A heart-pounding plot full of paralyzing intensity and edge-of-your seat thrills and chills, strong and swoon-worthy characters, and an overarching toe-curling romance will render romance readers breathless and begging for more. This is such a bang-up book with the intensity of The Godfather! This mafia series starring Vincent and Eve is among the BEST OF THE BEST in its genre. A WRITTEN TREASURE. I can’t recommend these books highly enough! Redemption and this series HAS IT ALL!!!

”I died for you, Vincent.”

“Well, I lived for you, Eve.”

Riveting, raw, broken, beautiful, and at times breathlessly heartbreaking, Jessica Ruben’s Redemption leaves you pondering second chances at life and love. My HEART BLED and my SOUL SOARED, and I can't stop feeling this romance. I can’t stop feeling this series that will slay and stay for life. Every romance reader needs to feel Rising, Reckoning, and Redemption. This series is epic! It’s exhilarating! It’s emotionally rich! It’s EVERYTHING!

A TOP 2018 & LIFETIME READ!!!

“I’m staring at nothing but darkness, farther from redemption than I ever was.”

I have loved Vincent and Eve right from the very beginning of Rising and maintained this emotional adoration for these characters right up until the end of Redemption. As the realisation hit me that this stunning and incredible series has come to an epic conclusion, I now feel quite sad. I have been taken on an emotional and breathtaking journey full of so many highs, lows, twists and turns that I will definitely put it down as one of my favorite series I have experienced this year. Jessica Ruben is such an incredible writer who has the ability to stretch her reader’s imaginations, take them on awe inspiring journeys and create a world that is so unlike anything else.

Jessica’s signature emotional, thrilling and heart-racing story-telling continued on in the Vincent & Eve series with its conclusion, Redemption. While I knew this was the end of the series and I wanted the story to last forever, I still couldn’t turn those pages fast enough and had to know how this epic love story would end. I wanted to absorb every beautifully crafted and thought provoking word; I was utterly consumed by these beautiful broken characters and this thrilling plot that sure made my pulse race.

The road to redemption is never easy and Vincent and Eve know this all too well. Even though they have been through so much, their intense love and unbreakable connection has never wavered, it is beyond electrifying. They have that kind of fierce attraction and love that many simply wish they could experience at one point in their life.

After the end of Reckoning, we readers were left shattered, heartbroken and wondering what next could possibly be instore for Vincent and Eve. How can they possibly move past everything they have been through? Will they make it? Will they get the fairy tale ending they so desperately seek? I needed to know. I longed for Redemption like I longed for my next breath.

“On my knees, I pitch forward. Eve, oh God, she makes me whole. With her I rise. I thought coming to prison was the right thing to do. The honourable thing. What a delusion I lived under. There’s nothing here but death and degradation. I whisper prayers into the cell, begging for redemption as I roll in and out of consciousness.”

It has been seven years and neither Vincent nor Eve are the people they once were. Vincent has paid his dues to society. He’s made some colossal mistakes when he was younger and knows better than anyone about the devastating effects that his poor judgements have made. Now is his opportunity to get his life on the straight and narrow, but unfortunately things don’t always go as planned.

Eve has come a long way from one of the toughest housing projects in New York, The Blue Houses, to having the kind of success she had only once dreamed of. Her strength, courage and determination is nothing short of inspiring and she has matured into an independent and sophisticated woman who is capable of more than she has ever given herself credit for.

“I’m everything I wanted to become…yet more unfulfilled than ever. I feel ungrateful, confused, and stressed out. I have to leave.”

I absolutely loved Redemption, well I loved the whole Vincent and Eve trilogy and I’ve found this one hard to review, because there are so many events that occur with twists and turns that made for a compelling read and I certainly don’t want to reveal any spoilers by talking about the story too much. I know some readers are awaiting the release of Redemption before starting the trilogy and it should absolutely be enjoyed spoiler free.

Jessica Ruben has skilfully crafted the perfect conclusion to what has been an all-consuming, intense, suspenseful and emotional journey that I for one will never forget. If you are looking for your next read to be one that will likely keep you on the edge of your seat, with all the fiercely heart-pounding thrills, twists and turns then this story/series is for you. Vincent and Eve’s tumultuous journey is one not to be missed, but be sure to start with Rising. I cannot recommend this series enough as you are certain to fall in love with Vincent and Eve, flaws and all.

“You will not escape your destiny. I choose who comes and who goes. Who will live and who will die.”

Title: Redemption (Vincent and Eve #3)
Author: Jessica Ruben

I strive to be honest….
Rising hooked me… Vincent and Eve’s story enthralled me and I couldn’t get enough of these two.
Reckoning ruined me…

As for Redemption?I had high hopes.

After the journey we’ve been through with Vincent and Eve, They are finally FINALLY together!

Redemption was honestly a book packed full of intense emotional and passionate journey. Redemption takes you on a journey that has it’s ups and downs.
Even after being separated for seven years, for Vincent and Eve, nothing has changed.
The tides have turned countless times, the Pizza place where they use to eat together and talked about Italy has served countless more Pizzas, Central Park has witnessed many more people teaching their loved ones to skate just like Vincent did for Eve…But their love for each other? It’s still the same. Their undying love for each other, regardless of all the turbulent hassles and trails, has stood the test of time.

At this point, the fan girl in me would like to point out that Vincent and Eve’s chemistry is ridiculously hot! Alpha Male Alert!

Note:
Also, I don’t know if I should say this or not but I was kinda hoping for something… hmm..If you’ve read the book… Let's talk about it hehehe

Whoa! Talk about an amazing conclusion to a great series! We get all the action and all the romance as Vincent & Eve get their second chance at love.

This book picks up 6 years after the end of Book 2 as Vincent is being released from his prison sentence. Vincent is a man on a mission. He has goals to open his casino, extricate himself from "the family" and of course reunite with Eve. Vincent!!! Excuse me while I fangirl a little. Talk about alpha male hotness in all his glory. This is the man you have no choice but to adore and he demands your respect. And let's not forget just absolutely sexy as hell. Yes, daily prison workouts have made him bigger and bulkier and now marked with new battle scars from prison fights.

Now let me talk about Eve. In book 2 I didn't like where the author took her character, I felt like she was weak when I wanted her to be strong. Well let me tell you, I want to go back and give a higher rating for book 2 because I completely understand why the author took Eve in that direction. In this book Eve is now a successful, confident lawyer. She has come a long way from the girl she was in the Blue Houses projects and now I am able to not only appreciate her professional accomplishments but also her growth into a self assured woman. There are even parts where Eve goes all bad ass to protect her man and the ending of this book left me speechless! How dare I call this woman weak. My profuse apologies Jessica Ruben!

The chemistry Vincent & Eve had from Book 1 is still very much alive and on fire. Their connection was palpable on a physical as well as emotional level. The intensity of their love was felt throughout this whole book and when they reconnected after so many years, it was just explosive.

We get quite a suspenseful read as Vincent's father does not take his leaving "the family" very well and there are some angsty, edge of your seat scenes. Hold on to your seat for a wild ride that will captivate you from beginning to end.

I loved taking this journey with Vincent & Eve. The sweetness and innocence of their young love blossomed into a once in a lifetime soul crushing love that withstood the test of time and seemingly insurmountable struggles.

Redemption is the PERFECT conclusion to the Vincent & Eve Trilogy. I couldn’t put it down! I thought I would die after the ending of Reckoning. I was so nervous to start this book. Vincent is out, he knows what he wants, and he is going after it! I love how the chemistry between him and Eve never fades. It’s so explosive!
My one wish for Eve after the last book was for her to find her strength and let me tell ya- she found it! A strong heroine who isn’t afraid to stand up for her man.... that is my JAM!! Eve is kicking some major ass in Redemption and it. is. awesome.
I seriously loved, loved, loved this trilogy! There’s so many different aspects of it. It’s got everything I love about different romance genres, all combined in one, without it ever seeming over the top. It’s mafia, it’s YA, it’s second chance, it’s dark, it’s light, there’s drama and angst, and it has mma and motorcycles! AND a dreamy af hero who is lethal, crazy smart, funny, sexy, possessive, and alpha as hell. Gahh!!! Just read it! There’s something for everyone!!

RISING completely shook me, RECKONING wrecked me and REDEMPTION broke me down and built me back up again. REDEMPTION is one of my most anticipated reads this year and I DROPPED everything when it landed on my kindle!

There's a certain tone to Jessica's writing. It has a rhythm, a beat. Her words are real and raw. Laced with danger and clouded with grit. I absolutely couldn't get enough of Vincent and Eve. Their story is a rough and dark fairytale with an ex army security guard as their fairy godmother.

Seven years later and Vincent has paid his debt to society......his debt to the family. All that he's sacrificed and what for? Things on the outside haven't gotten any better. His father is more unstable and ruthless as ever and Vincent just wants to move forward and be a legitimate business man. The only thing that's been keeping him sane is Eve. Always Eve.

The girl from the Blue Houses is unrecognizable. Eve has overcome and survived so much to become the woman she is today. Strong, classy, independent.....successful. She doesn’t show emotions, she always gets the job done. Her life is in order and routined. Nothing and no one can stand in her way. Except the only man she's ever loved. She gave him EVERYTHING, all that she is and now he's back. Will he be her ruin?

Ya'll REDEMPTION was everything I was looking for in Vincent and Eve's conclusion. Heart pounding suspense, high level of intensity , passion, feels, love, humor, amazing writing and an explosive ending! I honestly didn't want it to end. I already miss them.

Unfortunately didn't love this one as much as the other two. I was still happy to read about Eve and Vincent. It might have just been a little rushed and alot predictable. Do recommend this to anyone who loves mafia books.

Rising hooked me, Reckoning ruined me and Redemption !!!! Well Redemption consumed me.

So the second and I mean it, the second Redemption hit my kindle I dove in and didn't come up for Air until I hit The End. One of my most anticipated reads this summer, I've been DYING for Redemption and the conclusion to Vincent and Eve.

After being rocked to the core at the end of Reckoning I've been desperate to see what happens next for Vincent and Eve. So far the journey has been quite the ride. It's been 7 years since Vincent left Eve's heart shattered and me reeling from what happened at the end of Reckoning. And now well now Vincent is back and determined.

They aren't college kids anymore, both grown and having spent so much time apart but the intensity is still there. I could literally feel it especially when they cross paths again. Vincent Borignone is a force, in your face the man is just hard to ignore. Is it their time finally, will they get to have the life they both wanted or will his obligations get in the way again.

I can't even pinpoint what it is about this book I love so much because there are so many things. But their connection is one of those intangibles that you can feel. It's strong throughout this entire series, undeniable even thought everything in their lives says it shouldn't be. I couldn't help but NEED for this story to end well. But I also have to say that I love my books to have drama, suspense and angst and Redemption just like Rising and Reckoning did have all those elements which make for a highly entertaining and engaging read.

I still can't help but be a bit in awe of the fact that this is Jessica Ruben's debut series and if this is how she comes out swinging then hell dang girl, let me know immediately what is up next. I'm a fangirl already.

Was given the honour of reading an ARC for an honest review and let me tell you I was estatic when this appeared on my kindle made my week.

Now this is Jessicas debut series and let me just say she knows how to begin her writing career with a bang. If this is her first series I can just imagine what coming next. Vincent and Eves amazing rollercoaster of a journey started in Rising then went on to Reckoning then concludes in Redemption. There story is not an easy one as the was romance heartbreak, death , secrets it really did have it all oh and don't forget that the chemistry between Vince and Eve was off the charts hot even when they were fighting. I hated that this concluded the story but it was an amazing ending, with a few twist and turns and hotness and heartbreak along the way . Loved every second of this rollercoaster. Cannot wait to see what Jessica writes next because if its anything like this we will be sitting at the edge of our seat. I loved that we didn't have to wait so long for each installement even if it was a long wait it would have been worth the wait. Ill definatly be getting this set on paperback. This is not a standalone you have to read Rising and Reckoning which are also free on kindle unlimted

Full Review

How do you say goodbye? Parting is such sweet sorrow, is that the saying? Book three finds us in turmoil (yes I say us) but it has Vincent working towards having his happily ever after, no matter who is left bloodied and bruised along the way! Questions answered, more asked, and love that never had it's chance may finally be..The finale left me wanting more yet completely sated, I believe this is because Ms. Ruben was so skilled at taking us on a complete journey. Every installment left you more invested and yet clinging to the hope that there will be more...I love the feelings that she evoked in every book. Angst, turmoil, love, hate, want, and above all hope. I can't wait for this author to spread her literary wings and take us to more incredible places.

I'm not a reader that holds off until all the books in a series are out before reading. I don't mind cliffhangers. I don't mind anxiously anticipating the release of the next installment. But I do have to wonder, in this instance, if I had read this trilogy back to back, if this third book would've felt a bit more fluid with the rest of the series.

A significant amount of time has past between when book 2 ends and book 3 begins, and with that time has come a lot of personal growth and change for Vincent and Eve's characters. As desperate as we readers are for character growth, I can't lie, I struggled with their's a bit at first. These characters feel much different than they had at the conclusion of Reckoning and I just missed what once was. Something was missing in the transition for me personally, I'm not sure how to define it. I also struggled a bit with the pacing of this story. Things felt a bit too easy at first, I was craving more fire in this reunion.

But with that said, this final book in Vincent and Eve's story was a good one. I enjoyed it. There's a ton of drama and sexiness, romance and unexpected twists. Jessica Ruben's writing is definitely a lot more polished in this last book and for a newbie author, this trilogy is a solid one as a whole. I was missing something in this last book, some pivotal details or some emotional connection that kind of evaded me for a lot of it. But I think the readers that have gone crazy for these characters since Rising are going to really love this finale.

***Spoiler alert – You must read Rising & Reckoning before reading this review***

…”now that I’m free, it’s time I redeem myself.”

The story of Vincent and Eve comes to a conclusion in Redemption. This trilogy is the debut for author Jessica Ruben and what a way to enter the literary world! She didn’t just step in, she crashed in, full force! Rising was heart stopping! It grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let go until I was jumping from a cliff! Reckoning gave me the biggest book hang-over! The emotions were flowing. The path that Vincent and Eve are heading toward…devastating! What will happen to Vincent and Eve?

At the conclusion of Reckoning, Vincent and Eve are separated. The wheels were set in motion as a chain of events is set off. A consequence of their love and circumstances. It was painful to see the path that has been chosen for both Vincent & Eve. Vincent was sent to prison. To ensure Eve’s safety, he sent her to California. Eve is so determined and strong willed that Vincent did what he must to ensure she would leave. He had hoped that Eve would live life for him. A life that she has fought desperately for. From New York’s toughest housing projects, the Blue Houses, to NYU and on to Stanford.

All those promises we made when we were kids are just that, promises made between kids.

But things don’t always turn out the way you planned. It has been seven years. Eve is a successful lawyer. But her heart is closed. She is controlled and closed off. Growing up poor has left her with a need to assess her value, her worth and her bank account - frequently - for assurance.

“I’m everything I wanted to become…yet more unfulfilled than ever.”

Once Vincent is released he realizes that the choices that led him to prison were impulsive and immature. Vincent wants his life to go in a new direction. However, it may not be that easy…

Freedom, in the true sense of the word, will never belong to me – at least not so long as I represent the Borignone mafia.

Vincent did not spend his time sitting idly while in prison. He worked on his dream. But his dream may be overshadowed by his last name.

“You will not escape your destiny. I choose who comes and goes. Who will live and who will die. Me.”

What can I say…I absolutely LOVED this series! The writing is fantastic. The story flows from book to book as life continues on. Uncertainty, turmoil, crime, angst, fear….it’s all there! My emotions were all over the place! I just loved the punch that this series delivered. There is nothing better than picking up a book and being wow’d! And you, Jessica Ruben, WOW me!!!! Can't wait to see what you write next!

I’m staring at nothing but darkness, farther from redemption than I ever was.

4.5 stars!

A mushy mess. That’s me right now, thanks to Jessica Ruben dragging me through the bloody wringer through 3..Yes THREE amazing books, centred around the love, loss & longing of one very special couple ~ Vincent & Eve.

My love affair with this pair started in Rising, became obsessive in Reckoning, but lord when the boy became a man & focused on nothing but winning back his woman in Redemption..... Ruined is what it left me come the end. Gahhhhh my heart almost couldn’t take it I swear.

Vincent, oh Vincent. Wow, what a man he has grown to be. Loyal, strong, supportive & loving. I adored his soft side, his tenderness, his desire to right his wrongs & break free from the chains that have held him down since he was born into the family. The fact that he also has the mangod thing going for him too, yeah well that’s just swoon worthy.

And Eve, oh how my love for this beautiful girl has grown. I felt so proud of what she’s managed to achieve, but still, my heart wanted more, more, more for her. I wanted her happy, I wanted her loved, i wanted her cherished, but most of all I wanted her free from her past & free from her present, to give her the future she so desperately deserved.

Yet again the character growth was fabulous, I always wonder how much more an author can deliver when a story is set across 3 books, but Jessica didn’t disappoint at all & gave me a more mature, well rounded, yet just as passionate & deep version of the couple I fell in love with at the very beginning.

I loved the flow of the story, it was smooth & seamless, with some heart stopping twists & turns that added another level to this final book. The introduction of some new secondary players was perfect & added some well placed depth & colour.. New swoon material is never a bad thing & I’m keeping my fingers, toes & panties crossed that Slade gets his own story!!

I’ve said it already, but I’m astounded that this trilogy is Jessica’s debut into the world of writing. In three books she has managed to make my Top Reads of 2018 as well as gained a loyal stalker fan for life.

I hope there is more to follow soon, I hope this beautiful couple get a least another novella, as I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of the world they live in. I hope she reads this & gets the hint lol

A girl can dream right ?

I didn't think Vincent could get any hotter how.wrong I was. The. Vincent after jail is. Pure sinful, the man was sexy beast before now he is a certified God. He definitely hold his own a d then some. Honestly he's perfect in my eyes. Eve the girl is strong, but let's face it she lives for Vincent, I don't think sje couid get away from him if she tried. These two as re sown together, the spark the connection is strong. It couid catch fire just from the passion Ms the heat. Now I would love for Slade to have a story needed next.

Redemption is a breathtakingly masterful story of finding your heart, your voice, and your determination after you have lost your very soul. Nothing will destroy your world as surely as having your heart ripped to shreds. It will sink its cold and poisonous fangs into every part of your life – the good and the bad. Until you choose to take your heart and life back, you will always feel like a helpless passenger and never the empowered driver. When your yearning and desperate heart spoils the view of the world around you, the only thing you can do is surrender to it fully and completely or risk fading into a shadow of yourself. Only then will you know true peace, happiness, and hope.

Vincent has fought with everything inside him to turn his life around. He longs for two things – to be free of his family and to reclaim Eve the only woman his entire being has ever wanted to love and cherish. As he pulls himself from the darkness of his past, he moves forward with fierce determination. He is building a life that he can finally be proud of, and he refuses to be side-tracked. Eve has run from the horror, pain, and misery of her past to become everything that she ever wanted. She has earned all of the milestones that she has laid down for herself. What she doesn’t understand is why it all feels so hollow. Shouldn’t she feel something more at attaining everything she never had? When Eve finds her life, heart, and senses overwhelmed with the return of Vincent, can she think clearly enough to do what she must for self-preservation, or will she finally realize a life-changing truth that will shift everything inside her very soul?

Vincent and Eve have literally been through hell and back. They owe no one anything except to be true to themselves and each other. Life has seen them climbing from the bottom of the deepest darkness to the highest of heights, but can a good job, expensive possessions, and the right image make a heart happy when it has drowned itself in a soul deep yearning for another? Watching their story unfold, scrape along, and then finally climax had me holding my breath the entire time. I was in a state of blissful anticipation and heady angst. This couple will rip you wide open, force you to acknowledge your true feelings, and then dive deeply into your soul where they will not let a single desire hide from their intense scrutiny. This is one wild ride that will hurt, heal, and transform in the best way possible!

Jessica Ruben has surprised me in the best possible way. She has given me a magnificent conclusion to a story that refused to be taken lightly. This series is a brilliant shining example of what a truly epic love feels, acts, and looks like. This is true romance at its best!

What a wild ride! Redemption is book 3 in the Vincent and Eve series. It is not a stand-alone and the series must be read in order as it follows the same hero and heroine. Redemption picks up 6 1/2 years after the final events in the previous book, Reckoning. Possible spoilers ahead if you have not read Rising and Reckoning. As the book begins we see Vincent finally free from his prison term. A new and hardened man. What has remained, however, is his love for Eve. Our heroine has worked diligently and tirelessly to achieve the goals that she set for herself as a teenager. Her love for Vincent and the betrayal she suffered at his hands placed firmly in her rearview mirror. She now has everything she has ever wanted. Or does she? Vincent has certainly not forgotten her! As soon as he is able he reinserts himself into her life much to her initial dismay. But true love will not be denied and Eve eventually finds herself back under his spell. But can she trust him again? Does she love the man he has become and can he love the woman she has become? So different from the girl he left behind. And what happens when Vincent`s past catches up to him? Maybe you can never leave " The Family." I really enjoyed this trilogy. Especially the growth of the main characters. Their love was true and their HEA was meaningful and hard-won. And by hard-won I mean my heart was in my throat more than a couple of times as the story arc reached its conclusion. I think Ms. Ruben is an author to watch. This is well written and had me glued to the pages to see what would happen next.

Four Stars

I was DYING to get my hands on this book. After reading the first two, which were phenomenal by the way, I needed to know that Vincent & Eve were going to be o.k.

REDEMPTION takes place seven years after the events of the RECKONING.
This book seemed slightly different than the first two and both Vincent & Eve changed. Vincent is still an asshole, but a more toned down version. He's changed and it's all for Eve. As for Eve, I found her quite ignorant at times. There must've been a part of her that had to question why Vincent did what he did. But once the air cleared there was still a lot of work to be had if they were going to make their relationship work.

As much as I liked REDEMPTION, I really could've used a little more closure on certain things. For example, if I'm being honest, I wish a certain villainous character would've gotten punished more instead of simply disappearing. I also had several questions that I wanted answers to, but I think that's just me being super picky.

Overall, I really enjoyed the trilogy, though the second book was my favorite of the three. Definitely recommend this trilogy for all angst lovers.

Vincent has returned....

It’s been several years since he’s set his eyes on Eve, who in turn has truly grown into the woman she dreamed of becoming whilst growing up in the blue houses.
They agree to keep it strictly business upon meeting back up with each other, Eve is determined never to go back to what they both shared in the past who needs heartbreak twice.

Vincent the macho dominant sexy alpha is learning to slow himself down so he can redeem himself, proving his loyalty to the defiant Eve, she’s a new woman now!
can the passion they are both evidently denying ever be restored

I was anxiously waiting for book 3. The love between Vincent and Eve was intense. I fell in love with Vincent in book one. Loved his heart.

Book two broke my heart for Eve. Poor girl couldn't catch a break.

Now in book three, she has risen and has never looked back. So very proud of her. She achieved what she always dreamed off. Money in the bank and a home. But Vincent was a contant in her mind. She loved the man like no other. Losing him all those years ago nearly killed her.

Seven years later. He's back. Eve is all he has on his mind.

He will stop at nothing to get her back.

The books starts with Vincent leaving prison and Eve having continued with her life. The bond that they shared in the first two books carried on in the third and it was great to see that they hadn’t lost their connection.
The couple still have to fight however to get their happy ending but it was an ending that left me satisfied and was a great conclusion to a great series.
I look forward to seeing what the author brings out next.

Yikes! As this series progressed from awesome, gritty YA to Contemporary Romance, it kept getting worse, falling into familiar chessy territory with bad writing and plotting. Book 1 was a spectacular debut from Jessica Ruben. Unfortunately, she just did not know how to back it up. I am not counting her out yet though because Book 1 was that good and something a little different in the YA landscape. Ruben just needs better follow-up ideas and execution for future works.
