Lies -- Betrayal -- Deceit Only nine months after Stacy Degray resumed her carefree life, CIA handler Devon O'Farrell shows up on her doorsteps to call in his favor. The mission is simple: learn the Coyote's identity with the help of her former drill instructor Tomás Araya.
As the enemies silently close in from the shadows, Stacy's life turns into a web of lies and deceit.
Who to trust?
Who to betray? And if the lies catch up to her, she'll end up with a bullet in her head.
Part II of Stacy's emotional journey which will keep you on the edge of your seat until you turn the very last page. The sequel to War Bride promises more gripping action and a love affair that is as much tempting as it is dangerous.
Sal Mason is the author of reality fiction thrillers, often combining dark themes with a good dose of hope and triumph. Writing stories has always been part of her life, but she decided to take it a step further when she discovered Wattpad in 2014.
Mother of two, she lives with her children and pug Einstein in Ireland where she can be found writing at Costa's, taking strolls along the Irish shore, or curled up in front of the fireplace with a good book.
There are so many words to describe this story but they get all jumbled up. Riveting, captivating, soul sucking, deep. The tension that runs thru this story makes you clench your jaw and pray for the happy ending you know can't happen. You are riveted in place by the events and the passion that each character portrays and their actions. Your heart is breaking for each death and loss of innocence. I felt as if I were there as I read the words and I was crushed as each event unfolded. This has to be one of my favorite authors who not only brings the words to life but extends the passion thru storytelling.
This is book two in the War Bride series. The author says it all in the book blurb with the words: lies, betrayal and deceit. Just when Stacy has her life back to normal, its flipped back up on end when a favour is being cashed in. Another fantastic story, I was hooked and could not turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen next. Great twists and the chemistry between Stacy and Tomas, wow. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Enjoy!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the second book in the series. We again follow Stacey as she makes her way back to Malagauy. This time around Tomás, is the lead in the story. The two characters have great chemistry and lots of banter back and forth. The book takes us on a bunch of twists and turns. We start to wonder who knows what and who trusts who! I was hooked from page one. It does end in another cliffhanger, but this book does feel like we get this story’s ending.
Stacy is home in Indiana when CIA Devon shows up to recruit her to go back to Malaguay. Her mission is to gain the confidence of Tomas and learn the identity of the Coyote. Stacy is exchanged for a Rebel prisoner. Her cover is she was captured and held captive by the Rebels. This novel is the second in the series. Will Stacy be able to fool Tomas or will she be killed because of her part?
Another great read - leaving the reader begging for more! Intrigue, sex, romance (maybe?), terrorism, and redemption round out a stellar second installment of the War Bride series.
