This book touched on some sensitive issues - domestic abuse, but it was sensitively handled.
I do have some issues with the book though... First, I don't know who edited this book, but I think they need to rethink their career choice. In the first chapter, first page, it was all repeated on the second page! Then all through the book there were spelling mistakes and there was the use of wrong names in conversations. Second, I just can't believe that a woman, 3 weeks after leaving an abusive relationship, she's 'hooking' up with another man and moving in without her being scared at all. Just didn't feel real to me. Third, there was so much build up to her ex turning up and it was all over in a couple of paragraphs.
Shame, it had the bones of being a really good romantic suspense.

This was an alright read. I thought the story was good, but it could have been better. Also, I thought the characters were okay. I did not love them nor dislike them. I felt like the characters were lacking in some ways. I wish I had more of a connection to them. Also, the ending was good, but the story was a bit predictable. I hope to read more books by this author, and I hope that they will be better as I do think the author has potential. Overall, an okay read.
this is a book that will suck you in ... i wanna know more about this family ...i love a good book that is more than a love story, romance story ... or are pulled into the close knitted family ...fun family ... they have humor, a ranch, a sexy cowboy, a spitfire sister. i've read Sammi's book before ...great writing style, will check out more soon enjoy. i see the next book is 2019 ... don't recall the month? hope soon. not sure what Wyatt will end up doing in his book?
Book's ok but really needs a good editor. Words are misspelled, punctuation is off throwing the sentence off, personal pronouns are used inaccurately again confusing the sentences and there is some sloppy duplication of a short area of the book. It wouldn't be so bad but so many careless errors pulled me out of the story and were therefore really annoying. This is an Insta love type of romance which I have no problem with as I had that type of happy relationship in my life. The hea was satisfying and I would read other books by this author, hoping for a better result editorially.
I rarely give out 5 Stars but this story more than deserved it! Loved this unique story about Clint and Rachel. She, an extremely lonely soul from New York, meets Clint, a Wyoming rancher, while trying to leave her old life behind. His family is very welcoming and, despite being a city girl, adjusts well to the ranch. Unfortunately, her past comes back to haunt her, and she wonders if her new friends reject her because of it. But she has come to love the people and Wyoming and wants to stay. Very sweet and satisfying ending. I received an arc in exchange for my honest review.
Could not get enough of this sinfully delicious cowboy. A simple job offer to a woman in a diner becomes so much more. Clint and Rachel had a spark from the first look and quickly became engulfed in a sizzling romance. When her ex shows up and danger looms, the cowboy protects what’s his. A great read that you won’t be able to put down

Rachel was running, she finds herself in Wyoming. Clint's at the diner when he see her and the bruise on her face. He offers her a job. She goes out to the ranch and gets the job. She is running from an ex boyfriend but she has come to care for everyone and in love with Clint.
I liked didn't have two main characters who were wishy washy about their attraction to each other. The sister and brother of Clint, our hero in this book are likable, too. There is plenty of hot sex and the plotline is engaging if a little predictable. A good first book to set up the series.
Except for all the sex scenes this could of been written by a pre teen girl with all the hormonal roller coaster angst by both the twenty something male and female characters.
