“Good news sources don’t let advertising and news mix. They don’t let advertisers say what the news is, either.”

Advertising:
If something gets your attention, ask why or how? What word choice or images try to convince you of something?

Do you feel differently emotionally after seeing an ad? Nervous? Upset? The idea that you need something that you didn’t need before?

“Native advertising” - ads that don’t look like ads
“Advertorial” - advertising editorial

On average, a person sees more than 3,000 ads a day (TV, online, billboards, magazines, etc.)
