Joy in Surrender: Living a Life Yielded to God

Rate this book
We often try to avoid the painful trials in life. After all, we would prefer to live our Christian lives from victorious moment to victorious moment, but the apostle, Peter, has challenged us to look at our trials "Instead, be very glad-for these trials, make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world" (1 Peter 4:13, NLT).

As we embrace our partnership in Christ's suffering and fully surrender our lives to His purposes, this wonderful joy in Christ is ours!

Life changing book, this will bless anyone who encounters this book.

This has taught me much and encouraged me.

Lessons of Peter’s denial and pride into confidence and humility and David’s admirable display of faith in God are crucial and valuable in understanding that it is God who is the initiator of our faith is also the one who perfects our faith.

Ingrain it and welcome the words of this book.

Joy in surrender gives us a fresh perspective of God’s love and grace and shows us that He alone can do great things if we are willing to submit and surrender, yielding to all we have gathered with our arms.

The author has done well with providing us the foundational aspect of faith, and created opportunity of questions for us to ponder and truly consider the walk we talk with our relationship with God Himself.

The Apostle Paul’s journey from being a stern Pharisee persecuting Christians and turning into an Apostolic believer who changed nations and toppled multiple cities of the gentile nations with the Lord’s hand upon Him was an insightful read. Be ready to cry, laugh and learn as you go into the depths and chapters of this book.

So be blessed in Jesus Name.

Fantastic encouragement to live a life obsessed and fully committed to walking with Christ in joy by surrender. Deborah used both her own life experiences and Peter's to tell the story.
