Jack Harney’s plan to attend the wedding of his good friends, Katherine and Scott, up in Virginia City is put into jeopardy when a man is murdered mere hours after Jack’s arrival. The event is called, the Reconciliation. Unfortunately, or not, depending on your point of view, the killer’s descendent is murdered at the opening ceremony. There is no shortage of suspects. The town’s Sheriff is taken ill, so it’s up to Jack and Gaga Albright to try to find the killer.

I get most of my exercise these days by shaking my head. Unknown author.

Boy, can I relate, but I try to focus on what's in front of me, usually cake. Da Dum Dum.

Anyway, I'm obviously an author. I served 20 years in the US Air Force and soon after retirement came up with the idea for my first book--which I promptly discarded. It was about insurance fraud and trust me, they make it very hard to steal their money, so I had to come up with a different idea.

Book one is mostly a romantic comedy with a murder mystery thrown in, and while I think it's pretty good especially for a first book, I discovered I enjoyed writing the mystery of the book the most.

So, books two through eight are mysteries.

All the books have a lot of humor in them.

With the exception of book two, which takes place on board an ill-fated cruise ship, my books are set in Reno NV where I spent my teenage years, or some of them anyway.

Enjoy!

Loved the mystery

Love the Albright sisters. Enjoyed the suspense of a murder and a bank robbery. Nene and Burch were a surprise, hope we see Victor becoming what Nene deserves.
Great fun and an entertaining read.

I enjoyed this book very much.

This book was very entertaining and I really enjoyed it. The characters are great.
Jack and Gaga are heading to Virginia City to attend the wedding of Scott and Katherine, while Nene is left behind to run the bakery. The minute Gaga and Jack leave, Nene is on the phone with Victor Burch planning her own get away.
Jack is asked by the local sheriff to look into a robbery at the bank, but before they can figure that out the sheriff has been hospitalized and a man is dead. Everyone is sure that they have been poisoned.
There is no way in or out of Virginia City due to a huge snow storm. A call is placed to the Reno police department and they have asked Jack to investigate until they can get there.
Full of action, and a great read !!

Deadly Relations

Another good mystery by MaryAnn Kempher! Jack Harney and Gaga travel to Virginia City to watch Katherine and Scott's wedding. While Gaga was at the wedding Nene, her sister was supposed to stay home and keep the bakery open.
The weekend was more exciting for both Jack and Gaga as well as Nene! You'll have to read the book to find out about all the excitement
A very good mystery!

Deadly reactions

I loved this book. The sisters who own the building that private detective Harney has his agency in are always up to something. A murder and a bank robbery and stuck at a mountain resort where one of the sisters and a friend are at For skiing.
The story line keeps you wanting to read more and not stop.

I have enjoyed each book in this series. It is fun to follow what the Albright sisters are up to and also to follow Jack as he catches the bad guys. Very enjoyable.
