To say Rory Lee has the worst boss in the world would be an understatement. She's overworked and underappreciated. Her boss, Millie, makes her feel like she can never do anything right. She's constantly talking down to Rory and treating her horribly. So Rory never imagined that her life could change from running another pointless errand for her evil boss.

When Dr. Camden first meets Rory, he seems to be intrigued. But when he finds out why she's in the hospital, he becomes very protective of his friend... until he hears Millie's name. He doesn't want to have anything to do with Millie or the resort and advises Rory to do the same.

Cam can't believe how badly he treated Rory. It's not her fault she works with the demon spawn. He needs to show her that he's really not a bad guy. When a mutual friend makes it easy for them to get to know each other, Cam jumps at the chance and hopes Rory will as well.

But Cam's keeping a secret... something that could ruin his chances with Rory. But there's just something about her and he wants a chance to see where things can go. If they're going to get the HEA they both have been dreaming of, they'll need to do everything in their power to fight the outside forces that are determined to break them up and bring them down.

My thoughts in one word? Interesting. I did not see or expect this book to go in the direction that it did. I'm having a hard time writing my review because I do not want to give anything away! I really enjoyed Rory and Cam. They are definitely cute and good together. I did NOT like Millie... not one single bit! She's the devil! I really, really wanted something horrible to happen to her! I'm not going to lie... I was disappointed with the way things ended for her. She deserved to rot! Haha.

All in all this was a good book. It hooked me from the beginning and I was disappointed when real life got in the way of my reading time! This is my first book by Ms. Rabe and I can tell you that I'll definitely be checking out more books by her!

And of course I can't forget my casting! What do you think?

All the tingles!

This clean, sweet romance is quirky, fun, mysterious, and just all around fantastic. I wasn’t sure what was going on for most of it, but I had an idea, and when it was all revealed? Well that’s when the story went from good to great. I really enjoyed it so much!

Just a disclaimer, I give 5 stars sparingly, so a 4 here is like most peoples’ 5s.

My second book by this author, Man of My Dreams is a cute quick read. Once I started I could not put it down. A wonderful story full of dedication and love with some delightful twists along the way.

Rory is completely dedicated to her job and totally under appreciated by her boss. She is kind and loving but cannot help falling for Cam. What is there not to love? Cam is a handsome doctor but has a secret. He is so cute how he falls for Rory.

I loved all the twists and turns this book takes you on. Very clean and well written. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Interesting idea behind this story, one that left me baffled as soon as I picked up the signs something was going on between the lines. A big enough plot twist that will grab the attention.

Overall, I found it a little hard to connect emotionally with the characters. Rory is definitely enabling the abuse she is receiving from her boss, which quote frankly is appalling. I’d really hope anyone else in this situation, wouldn’t put emotional attachment to a place above sanity. Self-care. It seems everyone around her knows it too. Odd. I couldn’t quite feel genuine about the Doctor for a while either. Until you figure out what’s going on, he left me suspicious in his intentions.

As the book progressed, my interested deepened, and overall I enjoyed it.

Thanks to Clean Wholesome Romance for the complimentary copy. This is my honest review.

Sweet, easy to read, feel-good story that leaves a smile on your face

I decided to branch out from my usual genre to read this and I am glad I did! "Man of my Dreams" is a short, sweet, fast-paced, read. It is the typical romance but with a few unexpected twists.
Plot: things may seem like they are going well, but then something happens to tien things it upside-down. Even though you know how the story will end, there are many bumps in the way that permanently affect the fairy-tale ending.
Characters: some of the characters are one-dimensional, but they are different and unique enough where you can keep them straight. Jennny did a good job making them relatable: the happy and excitable high school friend, nit-picky boss who dumps random stuff on you, the elder and wise mentor(s), encouraging friend who you both want to see the other succeed. I would have liked to see a bit more depth to them but backstory would have bogged it down.
Overall: I really enjoyed taking time to read this book. Once I started reading it was difficult to put down. I did have to step away partway through because I was getting a bit too drawn in and needed to take a breather.
There were a few places where my heart ached with Rory; her uptight, slightly delusional boss treating her poorly, the loss of her parents, when she made her promise to Cam near the end...
There were a few things I found difficult to accept: the plausibility of this happening is slim to none. Their first encounter (in my mind) would have left a bitter taste in the entire relationship. Also, hospitals are more locked down than this story makes them out to be. This being said, it's my opinion. It is fiction, but I hoped it to be a bit more true-to-life.

This is a sweet love story full of twists and turns! Rory is a workaholic with an unbearable, mean, and hateful boss. But during one of her errands her boss sends her on, she runs into Dr. Camden. Through a mutual friend they are thrown together on a group date, but Cam makes it clear to Rory that he is not into dating or relationships. They slowly build a friendship that turns into more. But there are obstacles in the way and a twist that leaves Rory struggling with what to do.

I love the characters, even the evil boss because she made the story a page-turner to see what she would do next. Rory is someone who has experienced pain, loss, and grief. Her decision with Cam is selfless and shows she cares for other’s happiness before her own. This is a great read and I’m looking forward to reading her next book!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader’s copy.

Plot twist!
I hadn’t finished reading the story yet and I started taking notes for my review. I had written, “Dr. Camden runs hot and cold and sends mixed messages.” I was frustrated with this character and thought, “This is weird...” But then, I kept reading. Whoa! Major plot twist! This is absolutely the most “different” plot I’ve read in a very long time! At first, you will be confused but if you keep reading everything will come together and make sense. I really enjoyed the story. It’s clean, no swearing, no sex. I was worried there wouldn’t be a HEA or that it might end on a cliffhanger but everything is resolved in the end with a very satisfactory ending so I definitely recommend this book highly. I’m sure the story will stay with me for a long time.

A love story to snuggle with a blanket, hot chocolate, and a warm fire in a winters night

Jenny did a very well done of writing this story of a young woman who has lost not only her parents, but is also near to losing the only thing left to remember them- the the Ski Lodge that they owned. But she is in a brutal and losing battle with the owner of the business who hates her guts. Not only hate her but wants to fire her.

In the meantime, her relationship life is in shambles and does not want one right now. But how can she stop her feelings of a handsome young doctor who she can't stop thinking about?

If you want a story of struggles, frustrations, mystery, and sparks of brewing love and relationship, hands down you will enjoy her writing!

Well done Jenny!

Rory Lee works for the boss from Hell, Millie. Otherwise, she likes her job as events planner at the ski resort her parents worked in at one time. When she meets Dr. Camden (Cam to his friends), she likes him but gets mixed messages. Still, they have a good time when they finally go on a date despite his past involvement with Millie.
This is a quick, fun read with some good twists. Millie is way over the top, and I had some trouble with why Rory would put up with her, frankly, insane demands. Otherwise, Rory is likable and seems like a nice person. Cam was a confusing person, but that's part of the plot twist so I didn't mind in the end. I'd give this a solid 3 1/2 stars.

I was asked by the author to give my honest review. I really enjoyed reading this book and read it while I was up in the middle of the night with a newborn. I felt terrible for the way that Rory was treated by her boss and felt for her when you find out why she was trying to stay at the business she works. Then you meet Dr. Camden and at first are upset with how he treats Rory in the beginning and then start to fall for Dr. Camden with Rory through out the story. I really wanted to learn more about Dr. Camden's friends and how they met.

I really loved all the hidden surprises and the mystery part of this story. Some of which I saw coming and then there were others that threw me for a loop. This book is amazing and I recommend it to everyone.

I can't wait to read other books by Jenny Rabe...
Though I want to hear more about Rory and Dr. Camden.

This is such a fun book! It is a modern day retelling of Sleeping Beauty with a slightly paranormal twist! It is so much fun. The parallels that the author drew between this book and Sleeping Beauty were so clever.
The characters were well rounded and believable. You really find yourself invested in Rory's story. There are points in this story where you will laugh, points where you will cry, points where you will be outraged, and points where you will be avidly flipping pages on the edge of your seat!

This was a well written, well-paced book that has a twist that I did not see coming, and I always see them coming. The clues were there, but I was able to fully enjoy the surprise. The characters were relatable. It was a great story to just get lost in. I am not much into skiing, but even I was ready to hit the slopes, as long as I can avoid Rory's boss. :) I have read other books by Jenny and this is the best one yet. I would gladly read this again and again.

This was an unusual romance, but a delightful one. I found it to be well-written with engaging characters, a very interesting plot, and well-paced. There are twists and turns to make it even more exciting. I would recommend this to readers of sweet romance and to paranormal romance readers. I hope to read more of Jenny Rabe’s work. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.

A well written great fun read with a unique twist and variety of obstacles. The story is excellently paced with well drawn characters, heart warming romance, a little suspense, mystery to keep me turning the pages. Rory has a horrendous boss while she tries to wade thru painfuul memories when she meets Cam on a group date, who makes it clear not into relationships. As the build a friendship, I really enjoyed the scary journey and the obstacles and twists along the way.

It's challenging to write a review of Ms. Rabe's book without spoilers.

Yes, there's a twist. And I struggled with it. Mostly because the genre of the romance wasn't accurately represented, and so I felt blindsided.
Is there good chemistry between the characters? Yes.
Does it follow the usual romance formula? No.
Will you still like it?
You'll have to read to decide.

The writing is solid which is the most important part.
I've enjoyed other books she's written better.

This was a great book that I'm glad I got to read. This book is about Rory, who works for Millie, who happens to be the world's worst boss and the most irritating, hateful, and mean person. Then Rory goes to the hospital to get some papers signed for work, and she runs into Dr. Camden is the world's hottest and nicest doctor. They hit it off and go out on a date. Then something happens that makes you wonder why the good Doctor keeps running hot and cold. This book is full of twists and turns, and when I found out why Doctor Camden kept acting how he did and I was floored. Then we read on and get close to the ending where we get mad as we read, hoping the end doesn't end the way it's headed. This book was a great read that will keep you guessing up to the very end. A definite five-star read that I will recommend to anyone who loves a good love story.

This was such a fun book! . It was a modern-day take (& twist) on the classic concept of sleeping beauty, which felt comfortable to me. (Can you describe a book that way?) I loved the fact that it was romantic without crossing any lines, very clean, very sweet love story with an unexpected turn of events. Definitely comes highly recommended-

In the beginning, I thought this was a sweet story but about halfway through I fell in love with the book. It took a twist I didn’t see coming around there and I found myself in tears with it at a few points. I loved this book. I highly recommend it for fans of sweet romance. The characters were great and well thought through. I can’t wait to read another book by this author.

This romance was a quick read with some strange twists! Rory Lee works at a resort her parents once owned and seems unable to let go of the past. I definitely did not like her boss who turns out to really weird! Dr. Camden (Cam) was a likeable man. The setting in a Colorado ski resort was great. I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.

I couldn’t put this book down. Absolutely loved it.
The characters are relatable and well-rounded. I loved that they all had “good” and “bad” traits. The romance seemed so natural. And that twist… whoa. I knew something was up, but did not see that coming.
Would highly recommend!

This is a sweet romance with a twist I didn't see coming. Rory and Dr Camden are a great couple. Millie is just mean and evil. I do question Dr Camden's judgement in dating her. I loved " the ninnies". I had to laugh at Rory's cat Snowball.
