Being a mom and grandma, I am often shocked by what my grandkids have access to compared to what my sons had. There is a lot of innuendo in cartoons, Disney animation included, that I find unnecessary. I sat through countless cartoons or movies and was never disappointed in the fact that there wasn't innuendo to keep me entertained. I found the topic interesting. Then I opened the book.
Gaston, from Beauty and the Beast, acts too much like a gay man when he talks about decorating with antlers. Scar's manner of speech and hand gestures, are seen as homosexual. I know quite a few men/metrosexuals who have effeminate ways about them, who are straight. The priest on Little Mermaid has an erection during the marriage ceremony. It looks like knee knobs to me!! Even Bambi takes a hit. When Flower the skunk receives his kiss apparently his whole body is an erection. Who knew? The writer and his helpers examined frame after frame while watching some of Disney's films. This didnt seem like investigatory, it was more like an inquisition.
I still feel that children are exposed to things at far too young an age, but this book isn't really helpful. The author set out to look for sins, innuendo, sublimity, anything else anti-bible/christian and found it because that's all he was looking for.

I read this book after reading CHAOS by Tom O'Neil & Hollywood Babylon by Kenneth Anger. This was the perfect book to read next. It fell in line with everything I've already read and known about Disney. It was eye opening on somethings. If you want to know the truth about Disney, read this book.

It was ok. It's more like the history of Disney and its subsidiaries. Most of the things I read I knew.

I, personally, found this to be a hilarious read. However, I disagree with a lot that the writer had to say about Disney, it has almost as though he only wrote the book to make a quick buck instead of to 'enlighten' anyone of anything of any importance.

Con pocos datos interesantes sobre el imperio de Disney, todo está basado en especulaciones y tiene una cristiana insoportable. Léalo bajo su propio riesgo.
