کتاب رو با ترجمه وحید اکبری خوندم
به نظرم کتاب فاقد ارزش بود
احساس و چشم اندازی نسبت به شهر لیسبون ایجاد نمی کرد
بیشتر به گمانم هدفش یک فرایند کتاب‌سازی بود تا نوشتن یک کتاب

While only one or two of these stories was particularly engaging and memorable to me, I’m thankful to this translator and editor for providing English translations of works by so many of the Portuguese writers I’ve wanted to read to no avail. Hopefully we’ll see an increase in English translation of Portuguese writers in the years ahead.

Most of the short stories are in beautiful wording but lack a engaging plot. Took me a while to go through a very thin book. My favorite tale is The Accident by Jose Rodrigues Migueis, heartfelt and soul crashing. Another interesting story is Collectors by Mario de Carvalho, could be better but a delightful unexpected mystery. Unfortunately, these two stories are the only ones that made a lasting impression on me. However, the lovely cover design and photographies made up for the purchase.
