This book was a good ending to the series. Have enjoyed reading it, for the most part. The books were written well, and you really got to know the characters.
I do love happy endings! And that’s why this book receives three and a half stars. It was also a good ending for the series.
But I did expected a little more casualties in this epic. The journey is so unimaginable for readers, and even to characters, that I’m surprised that so many went through the end. Also, the writer could have explored more the consequences of their loss. It is impossible everyone just be so happy in the end…
And not arguing about Jazz decisions, but what happened to the love triangle? Where is Liddick in this book??? That was ridiculous. It’s not possible that everything is solved just like that, a brief dialogue that doesn’t even explain how is she transported from one place to another.
But all in all, I liked the story. Did I tell you that I love happy endings?
Great ending to a wonderful series. I have really enjoyed these books. This is world building at its best with amazing character development. I can honestly place this on the shelf beside Avatar, just in the creation of this mind boggling world alone. Tracy Korn takes you on one epic adventure after another, where you'll be holding your breath and holding on to your seat. I was actually pulling for both Liddick and Arco throughout the entire series until the bitter end and that's not something that happens often with me. You have to stop yourself every once in a while and think.... " these characters are not real, these characters are not real... ". Great books for old and young alike, which should definitely be made into a tv series, or movie. One I would happily watch with my family.
Book 1 sets up an excellent arc, book 2 has incredible world building, book 3 explains helpful things, book 4 wraps everything up in a satisfactory ending. There is an occasional curse word, random allusions to God and idols, and the last third of the third book stops building tension and simply moves it back and forth, which is so exhausting to push through that the climax is anticlimactic due to allocating all the energy to just watching the plot ping pong for over an hour. However, the romance is well written, exciting and clean. The characters grow, they maintain the integrity of their personalities, and the story arc is engaging. Overall, I recommend reading the series.
Ignis is a fairly satisfying wrap-up to an overall good series. I enjoyed how the author tied up the various plot points. Thankfully Jaz, Arco, and Liddick all ended up being able to still have good relationships with each other, whether it was platonic or romantic. My one critique of the whole series is that it is a bit too long. There is a lot of repeated information that was unneeded. Other than that, I think it is an engaging sci-fi series and I am glad I read it.
Very exciting final installment in The Elements series! The characters are pushed to their limits physically, mentally, and emotionally while their world is falling apart.
This book is split between Arco and Jazz narrating. TK gives both clear, distinct voices so even though you know who is narrating what chapter, your be able to figure it out based on how she writes from each POV.
I think this easily had the most action of all of the books and we got to see some characters, who hadn't gotten to know very well, really shine - especially Liam.
No spoilers, besides there's good reason for hope...but the ending comes together well and with the promise of rebuilding is there, which I always like☺️
I received a copy of this title from the author in exchange for an honest review.
