The Chosen Knights think they’ve found all the clues, but the last one leads them to yet another destination. They astral travel back to the massive destruction of the Knights Templar and find a missing element. As they decipher the final puzzle piece, Cyrus continues to grow his army.
A powerful volcano in Hawaii erupts, and inhabitants are forced to stay and fight the demons or flee. Many people once believed to be dead rise to help defeat Cyrus, and Venators arrive from Crossroads to help. Time is running out, and the Chosen Knights must decide to finish what they started or leave the battle to find the Snow Queen, who some believe is the only one who can defeat Cyrus.

Well, this was a splendid little series and I very much enjoyed it! This really was a solid ending to an exciting series.
What I love most about this book and the series as a whole is the interesting premise. A lot of authors tackle the angels and demons trope, but most of them do not really add anything new or interesting. Mary Ting has created an imaginative world surrounding this trope with new angles and creative ideas. I genuinely liked her take on angels and demons, and I am eager to read her other series in this world, Crossroads. The Secret Knights series is actually a spin-off series from Crossroads that is set in the future. It is not necessary to read the Crossroads series prior to this one, which I liked.
The characters really take center stage with this series. There are quite a few characters and in the end, they all become like a little family. The chemistry between these characters is awesome. Some of the dialogue can be cheesy, but the interactions are overall enjoyable. There is a strong theme of friendship in this series, which I loved seeing.
The plot of this story is really great. It kept me interested and trying to guess the endgame the entire time. I felt fully invested in the story. I loved the historical aspect when we get to see things from the past.
I enjoyed the romance in the series. In the first book, I felt that the love interests come together a little too quickly, but it was never an instalove situation. I just prefer a more slow burn romance usually, but this is a fast-paced series. That said, I still rooted for the romantic couple through the whole series. I loved their interactions.
The world-building was okay. Most of the book takes place in a modern-day setting so not as much detail is needed. In general, I would have liked more details. At times I didn't feel like I even knew what the characters actually looked like. There weren't adequate descriptions of physical characteristics. As a whole, I felt that the details were lacking in the descriptions of the world around the characters and the characters themselves.
I was expecting a little more from the ending. Everything is concluded, but in a more vague way than I care for. I like more details about what happens to the characters that I have come to care for. We get a general idea here, but I felt like I needed more closure.
Overall, this is a great series! It is fun, fast-paced, and full of action. This series has an interesting premise, a believable romance, likable characters, and an exciting plot. I would definitely recommend this series. Especially if you are a fan of books concerning angels and demons.
Normally, I only read completed series, and whenever I find books that catch my attention, I'll check the readers' commentaries on the last work published to find out if it's the final one. And Oh, my angels, I couldn't believe that I'd been tricked into reading this series, and I blamed those who misled me. However, I could understand why they claimed The Sacred Knights to be the last book, it's because the ending in this story sounded like a perfect conclusion to this series!
If only I didn't read the author's comment about another book after The Sacred Knights, I would also conclude that it's the end of the Angel Knights Series. But because I loved the series so much, I took the initiative to write to the author, and she replied to me even though she was busy writing her other books for her publisher.
Mary Ting told me that she purposely left the ending open-ended so that if she had time, she could write more, and her intention is to write The Snow Queen's Knights, but it might not be until the end of this year or next. Oh, and Davin was her friend who passed away in a car crash a long time ago. I believe Mary Ting wrote his personality based on the real person, may God bless his soul!
I really enjoyed reading through their adventure, and for once, I could pretend that I was one of the team members. Mary Ting described all the actions and emotions clearly, and I could picture myself in it. So far, I have read all of her completed series - Descendant Prophecies and Crossroad Saga, and I'll definitely check her page frequently to see if she'd finished writing The Snow Queen's Knights or if any of the books she's currently writing has been completed. See you when I see ya!
Note: Rereading for the second time in preparation to read the last book (Snow Queen). This time, I read this book in one sitting! Damn, I couldn't get enough when I reached the end. My review and stars stand.
I really love the Secret Knights Series. The Sacred Knights was intense, a lot of drama, action and so much more. Mary Ting keeps her readers in a trance from beginning to end. I love Eli, he's def my fave character and makes you wanna swoon. I love how strong and tough of a character Lucia is. In The Sacred Knights we have so many twists and unexpected events, some questions are answered and some leave us wanting to know so much more. More of the characters and more of their stories.
My review By Julie Barnard I was given this book for my honest review 10+Stars This is as always an amazing read by Mary Ting, a must read, hop on, its going to be quite a rollercoaster ride! Enjoy the ride, as Mary takes us on another amazing adventure, in Hawaii with Davin, Lucia, Zach an their semi human friends. They are working together with humans/demons whom have been changed by Cyrus, trying to take him out proves difficult. Jack receives help from an unsuspected source, and could change the way he looks at the world. While Eli is investigating on his own, watching Clarissa, he knows she's holding something back from him. Will Eli find proof of what Cyrus is planning, before its to late, and before he can have a life with his love, his Lucia. Happy Reading!
So I want to start my review by stating that I really wanted to give this book five stars but for reasons mentioned below I did not.
Before I read this book, I re-read the first two as it had been some time between books and I wanted to familiarise myself with the plot. Out of the three books, this is my favourite book in the series.
The Chosen Knights led by Uncle Davin are in the process of trying to defeat demon Cyrus (along with Mortem) who has Eli under his control and Eli's mother (who we thought had passed away) captured and hidden away - the first plot twist thrown at us in this book. Now at first I wondered why Eli's mother had been kept alive but as you read the book all is revealed. In this final instalment we continue to see the Chosen Knights travel back in time to piece together the clues from Jacques journal leading to the final battle with Cyrus.
I will start by discussing what I liked about the book first (the series overall):
• The different viewpoints of the Knights. It was nice to see the events unfolding through the eyes of the other characters all of who are likeable and have their own stories.
• Uncle Davin who is my favourite character in the entire series. I hope one day we can see him in his own series with his own happy ending.
• The Snow Queen - I liked the idea of her and the fact that she was this myth who was alive and supposedly badass but for reasons below I felt as though her storyline was not executed well.
• The Lana twist, we finally find out how she has so much knowledge and I did not see that coming.
• Goose, I loved reading all of the scenes with him. I really felt for him when he was saying goodbye to Jack, this is a child who has already seen loss in his young life and it truly broke him to say bye to his brother.
I should take this opportunity to add that Eli's mother was not the first character who we presumed to be dead but actually was not. This was a reoccurring theme throughout this book...parents being alive. It worked but also did not.
So moving into why I did not give this book 5 stars:
• The ending felt rushed. We had three books leading up the war with Cyrus and it all just came together in the final war too quickly. This leads me to the Snow Queen point. We had a potential great character in the Snow Queen who was a force to be reckoned with and whilst we found out whom she is, that is as far as it went. I would love for her to have been explored and used more but she was not. Similarly we meet Lilith in this book but she is not used to her full potential. Lilith was just neatly written out to finish the story. I think had the two characters been used well, the story would have been phenomenal. Nor we do know what happens with Mortem.
• Bringing characters back from the dead. There were too many parents who we thought had passed away but were alive and hiding. I think the tipping point for me was finding out Kalani was alive. The others had little choices as they were trapped but Kalani freely stayed away from her teenage daughter who had to grow up without an adult figure in her life and who was very heartbroken her mother's apparent death.
• Lucia/Eli/Insta-love - I am a big lover of YA paranormal books but I dislike the whole insta- love that happens in majority of the books, which I can never seem to relate to. The characters barely spent any time together and we are supposed to believe that they have this strong eternal connection. Lucia often put herself at risk because often she did not think beyond Eli. As a main character, Lucia was someone who I could have liked outside of her relationship with Eli but I found her constant Eli angst slightly annoying.
I noticed that whilst we had the viewpoint of all the Knights, we had nothing from Zach who I really liked. I hope that maybe he will have his own book some day.
I really wanted to give this a 5 star but could not because of the above but having said that I really enjoyed this series, did not get bored with it and would recommend it to readers of this genre.
The Sacred Knight is a perfect powerhouse ending to a spectacular series! It is an ending that will leave you both breathless with wonder and ecstatic with joy. This storyline of this wonderful series has such a fascinating mix of the paranormal and a provocative offering of challenges both personal and otherworldly. I found myself easily getting lost within the pages of this highly entertaining and edge-of-your-seat adventure that made it impossible to put down. It gently captured my heart and thoroughly enthralled my mind. This is one series that young adult readers will ravenously and enthusiastically fall in love with and wait with bated breath for more to come!

This series is an incredibly original work from the fascinating and creative mind of a literary genius! I loved the premise of this story from the beginning, and it has exceeded my hopes and expectations. I have come to realize never to underestimate or doubt the wickedly wonderful worlds and characters that Mary Ting creates. She is a truly stunning author, friend, and person. Her characters will delight and challenge you every step of the way, but they will never disappoint you. In fact, they will transform into something so much more then you ever imagined right before your eyes. You won’t believe it even as you see it happen. A powerful read packed with mystery, The Sacred Knights continues the series with suspense and action.

Traveling back in time, the Knights will learn more than they bargained for...making the task more difficult than they could ever imagine. Time is ticking, with the Knights home of Hawaii threatened by an erupting volcano, more lives are in danger than just their own.
Creative imagination with plot twists that will blow your mind, this story will unravel your emotions. Characters with personality and a true soul, family thicker than blood, you will understand how their bond is unbreakable. With new characters brought in, old characters you pray will make an appearance, THIS is an action packed story that HAS IT ALL.
I have found that when I read Mary's books, it's best to do on my kindle..I can swipe a lot faster with my finger than turn a page.
Since this book has yet to come out I wanted to leave you with a bit of stimulation.
Are you ready for the ride of your life?
Are you ready to be swept away on an emotional roller-coaster where things you thought you knew from previous books in this series are just a black mist away from knowing but not knowing the treasure of a lifetime.
The thoughts and tribulations that these characters bring from within themselves will make you scream and cry a bunch. The frustrations that you had are now ten fold in this amazing book that will have readers everywhere yelling and for the outcome they want and just when you thought you knew what will happen this author throws you for a loop.
Put this book on your shelf as a must read. I promise it will be worth the wait.
I am a big fan of this series and have been patiently waiting to see what unfolds in Book 3. Mary Ting has taken us on a breadcrumb trail to help discover what Cyrus and the demons were planning. This story is no different until the breadcrumbs slowly unfold into flowers that reveal all. At the end of Book 2, Eli had been taken from The Knights and was being used against them. Uncle Davin and the Knights are in search of the third missing clue. Can they figure out all of the pieces before it is too late? Get ready for a wild ride and a reveal you did not expect.
Wow! Fantastic writing by Mary Ting... this is the book where alot of things unravel to the truth. Its where if humanity will survive what Cyrus has planned for earth. And with the Angel Knights be able to help in ending cyrus. Great book! I got all teary and sad but there were was still humor. Gotta love uncle davin. Lol... I honestly recommend this series.
Another great book by Mary Ting! This book has so many ups and downs, one minute I was smiling and the next I was teary eyed! The love these characters have for each other is so realistic. I feel like I just had an exciting visit with old friends. They fight Cyrus and his demons as one and I found myself holding my breath to see how it all worked out.
Eli and Lucia. It's a heart wrenching story with love, pain, loss and acceptance. I loved the characters and the story. It couldn't have been better. The Knights would be proud of how they were represented in this story. Read the almost destruction of the island, and how a bunch of kids and angels saved the day.
I'm working on my review now. It will be posted here after it goes live on my blog and after release day. I will say that Ms. Ting seems to have made some tough choices that I absolutely respect in regards to this storyline.
Great story. I love this series. Shed a few tears and had a few laughs. I love how you put history and real places into your story. It brings knowledge of things some people wouldn't know about. Can't wait to see what comes next!
I was so sad for the ending of this book because I really did not want it to end. I feel that I’m connected to all of these great characters. It was a great book!
The Knights Epic Battle! Another amazing release from Mary Ting! Sacred Knights did not disappoint!! I was waiting for this battle with Cyrus & it was epic. I have enjoyed all of the Knights tales but this was definitely my favorite. If you have followed this series you are sure to love this installment as well, & if you haven’t yet read them you definitely should! There are angels, fallen, demons, & action galore. Love love love these characters & everything about this world Ting has transported us to!
