I received an arc of this book from the author and I absolutely loved this book. The whole Scottish Time Travel books have me hooked.
Niall comes from a whole line of time travelers but never wanted to go until he starts dreaming of a woman from the 14th century who is in danger.
He decides that he must go and protect her. A great story full of surprises.

A family heirloom or curse

Niall O’Kean was born into a family of time travelers, but never actually used his ability. Now he is haunted from recurring nightmares that are drawing him to an unknown woman from the past.
Niall is a friend of Scott, who confesses to him about his sister and time travelling, which also lightens Niall’s heart, because he can finally confide in someone.
While the dreams keep getting a higher urgency, Niall has to decide if he wants to help or if he ignores the calls from the past. Scott is kind of helping him making the decision and also supporting him to start his journey. Not exactly knowing where he might end up, in which time and what he will find in the past, he is convinced that he is the only one to help his dream lady.
Caitria is the sole living child of the laird of the MacGreghor clan, her brother dying in an hunting accident. Now her parents are smothering her. She is not allowed to travel or to participate in anything that might be dangerous.
But now her parents have betrothed her, not knowing in what danger they put her. A man who is loved by all seems to be a threat, but is that imagination. Is there someone else who poses the threat?
Niall will conquer everyone to keep Caitria save, falling for her spirit. And Caitria is pulled towards her fiancé in a way she never thought possible.
Can they proof who is a traitor and will they stay together or will Niall go back, leaving his nightmares in the past?

This is the second book that I read from this series and it is nice that a bit of the story is interwoven. Niall and Caitria are very likeable characters and the story is quite good.

A great story and a great series. Wonderful characters always and good bad characters. The stories are fresh that they are not similar which can happen in some series. Very well thought out. If you like time travel well worth trying this series.

I liked this book very much .
An unwilling time traveler having dreams of a woman running to him ,desperate to reach him..the problem ...she's in the past ...
The dreams are so vivid , real ..he makes a reluctant choice to go help her ...and hope he's not to late...
Does he get there in time ; will he inadvertently find love in the past...read on for these answers to unfold
Thumbs up, Stella..

Ialways enjoy a novel about Time Travel, and this one had a twist, as it was a gentleman who went back in time to find his true love rather than a lady. Enchanting story and well developed characters, even the bad guys. This was a great story and I highly recommend it. I received an advanced copy of this book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Great characters and story! Niall comes from a time traveling family. He has never wanted to travel thru time until he starts having dreams of Caitria and she is in danger and he can't control the need he has to help her. I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.

This is an OK Scottish time-travel romance, and an OK addition to The Highlander Fate series. It was entertaining, but it was just too short to have enough character development. I wanted more backstory on both Niall and Caitria.

I liked both Niall and Caitria, but I wanted them to communicate better. Most of their issues were caused by a lack of communication, brought on partly by a fear of sharing their true selves. I liked that some of the supporting characters helped them get past that, and learn to talk to each other.

One thing that bothered me about this book is the historical mistakes. The men all wear kilts in 1390 Scotland, but they didn't actually start wearing kilts in Scotland until the 16th century. The characters also ride in carriages, which wasn't done in that time period, because the roads were too bad. Everyone rode horses, or traveled in small carts like farmers used -- carriages had not even been invented yet. I suspect the author may have included those two things because of popular movies (like Braveheart) -- but it isn't correct, just because Hollywood does it.

This one get 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Good but not true to the times written of.

Stella tells a great story. However, she hasnt researched her time periods enough to stay true to the era. She talks about the lairds having nobles under their authority. Only, nobles served the king, not a laird. Lairds were below nobles in the hierarchy during the 14th century. It wasn't until later in the 15th century that lairds were given titles of nobility. A laird was the head of his family and those who served him, including those who lived upon his lands as husbandmen and tenant farmers. Stella has nobles playing the parts of underlings which simply was not true to any era. The hierarchy of nobility from the lowest knight up to and including a prince or duke was not unilateral but all were answerable only to their king. No one else. Certainly not a mere laird. Also, a betrothed would not be allowed to travel, overnight especially, without a proper chaperone, usually her mother, and a company of guards. Ever. It simply wasn't done. To do so labelled the young woman a harlot. She could go to the village alone with her betrothed or a walk in the garden but that was it. If Stella took the time to research her era of choice, her books would be so much better.

Niall O Kean was a nan from the twenty-first century. Most of the people in his family could time travel but he never wanted to try it. He started dreaming and as time went along they turned into nightmares. It was about a beautiful Scottish girl who was in great danger that slowly increased the urgency of the call. He knew he could not leave her to try to handle this. So he went back assisted by his friend Scott, whose sister went back in time and stayed. Caitria MacGreghor is the daughter of the Laird and is very well protected. She is marrying the Laird Artair Dalaigh, who just happens to look like Niall and has been mistaken for him. Niall goes along with the deception.
I loved the story it was well written. The characters were well developed, and the descriptions are wonderful. The author has done a great job with keeping things straight. It is for the older crowd, 18 and over. But the action, and excitement are worth the time taken to read this tale. I highly recommend it.

I received this ARC from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

Niall O'Kean was with his friend Scott Chapman so Scott could tell him about his sister time traveling. She had traveled to 1390 married a man from that time and would not be returning. Where as Niall told him of the fact that most of his family could time travel though he had never time travel;ed and never planed to. Niall should have known not to say never because he kept dreaming of a woman from the past, that she was in danger. He woke up one night with her screaming his name for help. So he and Scott went to Tairseach where he could time travel and ended up in 1390, at MacGreghor Castle. They thought he was Artair Delaigh who was to marry the Laird MacGreghor daughter Caitria. U now know the start of the story to find out what happens u have to read the book. Don't really care for time travel books but this was good.

What a series!

Niall's Bride Highlander Fate Book Four

Niall is having dreams of a woman in danger, he knows she needs his help but is he able to travel back in time to save her?
Caitria thinks the only thing that she has to worry about is marrying a man she doesn't want. But when Niall shows up she realizes that her life is in danger and he is the only person that can save her.
Loved this book! Normally you have the female going back in time, falling for the shifter, falling for the MC, ect in this book it's the male traveling through time to fall in love with the female. I wish there were more books out there like this.

Niall, he lives in our World, dreaming of a woman in another time. Danger surrounds and chases her, using his ability he reluctantly travels back in time to warn her. Falling in love was not part of the plan. Caitria dreams of faraway lands, knowing she will never see them, her family and clan overprotect her until she meets the man in her dreams. The book is good, can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the other books in the series first. A very good book, and series, highly recommend. A**********

This is another one of Stella Knight’s books that I thoroughly enjoyed! I received an advanced reader copy and I loved it! I like how the book focusses on a male protagonist. It follows Niall’s journey of accepting time travel (that happens to run in his family) in order to find and save the woman in is dreams. Of course there is danger, love and lots of magic! I also loved the surprise near the ending!! What are you waiting for? Get your copy!! I can’t wait for the next book!! 😄😄😄

I received a review copy of this book. This a brilliant book about time travel though the hero of the book is very reluctant as he has decided that he would not follow in the family’s footsteps of time travel, until he gets dreams about a women in need and realises that he has go back in time to help her. Once there he has few things to sort through and that things are not as easy to sort out as he hoped.

I loved this read!

‘Niall’s Bride,’ was a fantastic read. Niall, Scott’s friend, whom helped Izzy travel back in time to the love of her life; now finds that he has need of Scott’s help, to do the very same. Niall’s dreams of a lovely woman, in danger and dire need leads him to embrace his family’s calling, as time travelers. He can no longer resist the pull, to travel back in time, an aid her.

Niall and Caitria

This story had a bunch of turns in it. I liked how Niall had to adapt to 14th century life and he did his best to protect the woman of his dreams. I was disappointed that the characters from other books (Highlanders) didn't show up but I'm sure there was a reason.

Another awesome book in this series. Nice to see the hero being transported back through time instead of the heroine. Great storyline, some intrigue, danger and lots of romance in this one. I really enjoyed Niall’s story and look forward to reading the next one. Keep up the good work Stella.
