At first I had a lot of trouble keeping all the different characters and their points of view straight. It seemed very random and like the stories would never connect together.

Boy was I wrong. A little over halfway through the book I didn't want to set it back down until I was done. The author's ability to tie in their story so deeply to many different religions, as well as create such deep and varied characters is astounding.

There were a few places where either I had confused the names of people or the wrong person was speaking, and the Australian terms while writing about American characters threw me off for a minute, but altogether a very enjoyable story even though it is fairly heavy and very dark.

Received from author and Voracious Readers Only in exchange for a review.

This book was a very interesting adventure. The story starts off kind of slow due to the introduction of five main characters (6 if you count Tim and you really should count Tim) spread across three continents and a constantly shifting point-of-view. The shifting viewpoints were a bit tricky to follow especially since there was the occasional minor character.
Once the characters start meeting up, the story begins to move at a much faster tempo. It was really fun to explore overlapping theologies of the world! The characters were all so diverse that it made the explorations that much more interesting. This was a great start to the series and I look forward to reading more.

A stolen artefact sets a virus in motion. Stolen to hopefully fund experimental treatments. A virus ensues. 7 children with exceptional talents come together to stop the end of the world and return the artefact to where it belongs.
First book in the series and it doesn't disappoint 😊.

Good beginning to the series. Deftly introduces the key players, and tells a bit about each of their powers, even though some of them don't quite believe it; one kid even thinks he's cursed. To start with, they don't know about each other, but will come to realize they need to unite to save Earth. Good story.

Ebooks are stories told by different writers. How good the story is depends on the writer. J.M. Hart is a very good writer and story teller. The Emerald Tablet takes 7 teenagers into the supernatural on a trip to save the world and end a pandemic.
Can they do it, is the question?

This was a little confusing.
With so many viewpoints you become lost and don’t have time to connect to any of the characters before you’re suddenly with someone new.
I’m still not sure what the central plot of the book is.
