Unfortunately, this course was cut short by the Covid pandemic. I tried to finish it on my own and lost momentum. However, all that I completed of it was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the video presentations. This study guide was excellent, and I read as many of the books suggested for additional reading as I could. Each of those were excellent as well. I highly recommend this course and study guide as well as its author Brant Pitre. One of the most beneficial and lasting things that this course inspired me to do was to develop my own prayer book for Mass, taking quotes and prayers from this book and the other recommended books. I still use it to this day.
I used the study guide along with the video series on Formed as a way to learn more deeply about the Eucharist during a time when I could not go to Mass. It was a good discipline for me to do the homework through the week. One unique thing that I enjoyed was the fifth day’s exercise each week reflected on a piece of Christian art.
Spoiler alert! We will all feast at the wedding supper of the Lamb!
