Well now....

Ok. This is one of those books where I’m not sure if I hate it or absolutely love it. Like there definitely isn’t an in between. Anyway that being said. This is dark. There are triggers for sure, but it isn’t as bad as you may be thinking. It does end in a cliffhanger, and I think there’s even a fourth book scheduled for pre-order, so that means there’s probably another cliffhanger coming in book three. Regardless I’ll be reading Covet AS SOON AS it releases, because my god what is going on with Fiore and Monster???

New author for me and having read the prequel for this book, I had to check out the next instalment. Usual trope of H using h to take revenge for the awful things that her family had done. Heroine hasn't got a clue but hey that doesn't matter, she has to pay the price! Readable and passed the time.

A "punch you in the face" start to this series

This book (which also contains the prequel Capture) gets this series off to a roaring start. I couldn't put it down, needing to know what happens next. Wanting down into my bones for Fiore/Katherine to find her escape from Arsen/Monster. He thought to himself, even verbalized to Fiore, that he wouldn't take what wasn't his (i.e. force himself on her). But then he used threats and coercion to get her "consent," so...

PSA: that is not consent.

So, what I'm saying is, I hate Arsen so far. He also thought fondly about how he'd made his last "girl" wish for death. Referred to her as "nothing but a whore." Thought excitedly about breaking Fiore/Katherine down until she, too, wished for death. And then, in his infinite mercy, granting her that death. He makes me sick. I'm going to continue reading in hopes that she gets one over on him. That she causes him some pain. Man, in hopes that ANYONE causes him some pain. Because right now he is, as he is rightfully named, a monster. Irredeemable. And he can go to hell.

This is dark. If you're looking for a sexy kidnap book, this book is not that. I'd say it is more of an erotic thriller. I can't say what Arsen's character will be like by the end of the series, or how I'll feel about him, but right now I'd like very much for him to fall off a cliff. A big one. On to some rocks.
Still, if you're cool with an erotic thriller, this is a good one. Just don't expect to like Arsen. At all.

I got a 3rd of the way through and closed the book, I do not wish to read any further, I have seen other reviews 5 stars rewarded, but I am afraid that I am tired of the constant books that have abuse towards women, the descriptions alone of what he planned to do to this innocent young girl made my skin crawl, I am neither a prude or scared of the dark reads In fact they are my favorite genre, but I am just tired of reading some poor woman been beaten under the disguise of it been BDSM, I don't know maybe I will attempt to read it again, I read the prequel and was captivated by it so much I even put this one on pre-order, I really wished I hadn't, add to the fact that it is a 4 book series has literally put me off. I am sure it will be a good series for others not for me. I want to read somethings where the women DON'T fall in love with their abusers I want to see them get revenge and pay them back.

In this second book of The Cherish Series, Katherine is caught and sold as at an auction.  Arsen will do anything to have her.  He plans to ruin her as payback for what her family did to his whore Anna.  What she doesn't expect is to feel attraction to him.  This Monster who has carved his mark on her, so that every man will know she is his.  But when the opportunity arises she must make the decision death or him.

OMG!!! This book series is a thrilling ride.   This book picks up exactly where the first book leaves off and just takes off.   There is so much action and scary thrills, that I could not put this book down.  I was immediately drawn into Katherine's world and what a world it is.  She is innocent, beautiful and scared.  Monster wants her, needs her, punish her.  He is a dark, scary, sexy beast of a man.  He seems to have a really dark side and doesn't know how to let it go without resulting in hurting someone.   He is sinister.



Olivia Ryann has really outdone herself with this series, so far.  It is thrilling, dangerous, and sexy hot.  The books flow flawlessly at a steady pace.  The characters are dark and dangerous.  The world she is creating will draw you in and hold you tight.  You will not want to put the book down once you start.  From the very first page it grabs your attention.  A roller coaster ride of emotions throughout, with an oh shit NO!!! ending, that will definitely leave you hanging and wanting more.



Overall this book is a dark, intense and hot read.  It will have you on the edge of your seat biting your nails and so into the story that nothing else will matter.  With dark and edgy characters you will be drawn into the dark underworld that is Arsen's kingdom.  Think Taken mixed with Fifty Shades!  You will be left begging for more, with a cliff hanger from hell.  Oh Olivia please put out book 3 Covet soon!!!!  I beg you!  Please!!!

It's good but it's nothing original either. This isn't nearly as dark as I was expecting it to be. The H isn't as threatening as expected, but he definitely is an asshole. There isn't much in the way of romance. It's more lust than genuine feelings for each other. The H is in the mafia but that's the extent the mafia is involved in the story so far.

The dark adventure really starts for Katherine, a delicate flower sheltered from the world but plunged now into the domain of one cruel, heartless crime boss. Sold and humiliated, this poor creature is treated like an animal. There are some cringe-worthy moments there. Entertaining as hell, but grim, threatening.

Arsen’s thoughts are murderous, full of evil plans for her future. I read this novel with some trepidation and in one seating, mesmerized by the harsh games he plays with his little mouse trapped for his amusement.

Threats, torment, violent desires surround Katherine while she plots an escape that never materializes. I wanted to throttle that beast of a man for mistreating such a lovely girl. That cliffhanger though is so good it hurts badly :-D Now I COVET the next book…

Picking up where the prequel left off.
The dark, angry cyclone of punishing feels weaved throughout the high impact; blazing storyline had me on the edge of my seat craving more of the wicked and depraved juicy details!
I usually am not one for cliffhangers, but the amazeballs storyline and spectacular fashion this one ended on- I think it is worth the wait!
If you enjoy dark, hot reads- this is a book I highly suggest checking out!

4.5 Kidnapped Stars!!

This genre is right up my alley, LOVE IT, Can't get enough stories like this! I am new to Olivia Ryann, but if she has more stuff like this, then stop the train cuz I am buyin a ticket for first class!

Loved the plot, loved the writing, loved the characters and can't wait to see where this goes. And Holy Cliffhanger Batman!! I had to literally scold myself to calm down and write the review BEFORE jumping into the next book!





So, As you can tell, I'm excited. However, I will try to calm my tits long enough to get a good review out, even though I am dying to settle that cliffhanger ending right now.

Control ends where we left off in the Prequel Capture. We have little Katherine running from the big bad "cops" learning that her family has sold her into sex slavery. She is ultimately captured for the second time and taken to a holding facility, then to an auction. This is where she is bought by
Arsen. Tall, Dark, and handsome with steal grey eyes and a rich Greek accent, He sounds like a dream boat! Unfortunately ladies, he runs a thriving crime organization, enjoys slaughtering his enemies or anyone who gets in his way, and apparently kidnapping, torturing, and killing young girls for revenge. He is pretty much an all around bad guy, according to his own inner dialogue.

Arsen takes his merchandise to his compound in Columbia. The story follows both characters as he adjusts to Fiore/Katherine being his new captive and she adjust to Arsen/Monster being her new captor and her mansion prison. There is quite a bit of steam mixed with a purposeful lack of emotional attachment.
It will be fun to watch these characters grow closer in the coming books in the series.

So Why not 5 stars given all these things I have excitedly recited??
Arsen
Don't get me wrong, I love a semi sadistic, dominant, possessive Alpha male who does't give a crap about the heroine, but changes because they are soulmates. HOWEVER, I feel like his character is a little inconsistent.
He portrays himself through his inner dialogue and different actions as being a real sadistic bastard.
"I'm going to enjoy slowly breaking her bones and swiftly crushing her spirit. Let her know that no one is coming to save her. When she weeps for her father and brothers, I will whip her for ever caring that they existed."

"After I have stripped her of her will to live, she will beg me for the release that death brings."

"I'll kill her. Turn my protective embrace into a slow strangulation. Yes, it's fucked up, but that's the thought that makes my cock hard."

He says things like this a lot during his inner dialogue, but then when he deals with Fiore/Katherine he ends up being pretty damn gentle. Never forces her or hurts her necessarily. The worst thing he does is "the Box" and he is emotionally a jerk face! Not that I want him to be crazy and 'rapey' and hurt her AT ALL . I just think it is a little conflicting for the character.

All in all, LOVED it and on to the next!!

Wow! As dark and as twisted as promised!!

Katherine is still in disbelief that her father and brothers have had her kidnapped to be sold not knowing her fate until she lands in the clutches of the man she calls "Monster" because that is what he is. He is vile and cruel but he is also handsome and mysterious. She has to find a way to make her situation better but things always somehow take a turn for the worse.

Arsen has done what he set out to do! Executed the Carolla family and taken the only member left, Katherine to punish her for her families sins. After buying her at auction, he secludes her in his home and strips her of everything she was before. He even gives her a new name but she is more defiant, stubborn and more intriguing that he is expected. She takes everything he dishes out and he cannot get her off his mind in order to conduct his business. What is he going to do with his Fiore?

If this is a love story it a very twisted one indeed! This book left me wanting more so I cannot wait for Covet.

Wow! Where do I begin? There are sometimes books that I come across and don't know where to begin expressing what I think of it. This is one of those books. yes, this is a dark story and the main characters are broken to some extent as well as so much more to them. Katherine is a young woman who has been sheltered from the truth about her father and brothers. Arsen is a very dark man who is in some ways a victim of is youth. The two in reality never should have met but due to the horrible things her father has done and the fact that he did it to someone Arsen knew is the reason Arsen has sought out and taken Katherine. Arsen wants to seek his revenge for what happened to Ana out on Katherine to to point of stripping her of who she is and renaming her. Well Katherine has a name for him as well. She calls him Monster. This dark and intense book will have you at the edge of your seat with all that happens between Katherine(also known as Fiorie) and Arsen. This book leaves off at an unbelievable cliffhanger and more than ready to know what happens next in the story. This book is so well written and I can not wait to find out what happens next! Bravo Ms Ryann! Great read!

I was extremely intrigued from reading Control, the second book in the series, but the first full length novel of the Cherish series. It has definitely piqued my interest for the future of these characters. Katherine, named Fiore by her captor and now owner Arsen, or as she calls him Monster, is in a bit of a bind, in some cases literally. Sold to her family's murderer, she now must try her best to keep the monster at bay and stay alive. Arsen has a plan for Fiore and that is to break her completely for revenge against her father and brother's vicious murder of his previous property. Yet, you start to see his plan semi unravel as Fiore begins to draw him in. I feel bad for both characters as I feel if they just had a real conversation, Arsen would see that Katherine did not have that good of a relationship with her father and brothers beginning in her childhood. The fact he is punishing a woman who has basically been punished her whole life is disheartening a bit, but I think that has made Katherine strong and it is why she intrigues Arsen. Since we are left with a bit of a cliffhanger, I very much look forward to book 3 and to see what comes of Fiore and Arsen's relationship. Can either move past the events of Control? I guess we will find out!

First, let me remind you to read CAPTURE, before reading CONTROL, because this book begins exactly where the first book ends....❤️🌼🔥
This dark love story between Arsen and Fiore begins with the perfect rocky start and gets even better, and, yet, even more complicated, in CONTROL..... Admittedly, this book isn’t our “typical” love story, but, in my opinion, although dark and somewhat twisted, CONTROL is, definitely, a love story....
Without a doubt, Arsen, obviously, isn’t our usual, sweet, normal and loving HERO, but neither is he without a heart where “his Fiore” is concerned....
Since I don’t believe in spoilers for reviews, this is as much as I can reveal without ruining for others, the experience of reading a new book....❤️🌼🔥
Without a doubt, the CHERISH Series is proving to us how talented, Olivia Ryann is at writing this genre.. She will, no doubt, become a favorite with many more readers...❤️🌼🔥

Brilliant Olivia, OMG Control picks up were prequel capture leaves us all hanging. So this is all about Katherine/Fiore and Arsen. From start to finish you get pulled in to all the action, Suspense, drama and steamy sex. Plus the twist that come along the way are off the hook that have you turning to the next page. A must read, I voluntarily read an Advanced Readers Copy. I recommend that you Read Capture before Control to understand who all the main players are. Warning ends Cliffhanger.

This dark romance made me forget to breathe at times. It is so thrilling I could not read fast enough just to find out what would happen in the next instant…

The characters….. W.O.W ! !
They are so vivid that I expected them to step out of the page at any moment!
Katherine/ Fiore seems so fragile… so lost… but she proves time and again that she is anything but weak!
Arsen in contrast is darker than dark… cruel and cold until he finds himself obsessing more and more with his Fiore…
Both protagonists are very intriguing and I can not wait for the release of Covet, the next book in this series, to learn more about them…

The prequel already promised something spectacular, but this book surpassed my expectations by far!

Why, why, why does she do this? Seriously dark and intense read, that you're on the edge of your seat turning the pages and, you're freaking out at a REALLY good part and..... BOOM!!! On to the next book we have to wait. So amazingly twisty and good that I just couldn't stop reading on when I started this. Oh my Gods I can't even begin to say how good it was. 5 🌟 for sure. I'm just glad these releases have a short wait time between them or I'd really go crazy.

P.S. Read Capture before you read this so you understand the back story.

If you love the dangerous bad guy then you will love Arsen he doesn't have a soft side and you will want to hate him but a little of his back story comes out and you can't help but soften for the guy. Katherine is naive in how the world works especially with how to handle Arsen. I was not expecting that to happen at the end at all and I can't wait for the next book to come out!!!

What a dark and twisted story!
Katherine is a young woman whis part of a bad family who sells her off to Monster. He is a bad man who wants to destroy her.
Their journey takes them through many deprived and devious scenes where Monster always wins.
I loved this story!
