After securing High Point Special Facility, Colonel Lee and his lightfighters of Tenth Mountain have been shot up, run out, and worn down. But another mission awaits—roll to Fort Stewart and extract Dr. Courtney Moreau, one of the engineers of the virus now devastating humanity, and whose immunity promises a fast track to a vaccine.
Wow, what a ride so far! It just keeps getting better and better, I can't imagine how this is going to end. Looking forward to the final book in the series, hope it comes out soon.
I’m really sad it ended and have no idea what will happen to who’s left
Is all Hope lost? Sure seems like it… I hoped we’d find out more about ‘the bug” because somehow it was still being deployed. It doesn’t feel like and end..feels like the story just quit. As much as I love the authors, I just didn’t like the ending and too much was left open ended for me. While I don’t need an exact conclusion, but with a lot of “zombie” or “plague” books they aka ways seem to end with the characters left unresolved and so many dangling questions. If everyone has to die I’m okay with that or a bleak end but the characters flying off in the sunset randomly toward the end of their mission and having no idea if they made it or came up with a cure.. or characters in the background left dangling..like hurt inactive or just not spoken of anymore is just not satisfactory.
Colonel Lee and his lightfighters of Tenth Mountain find themselves under siege and have learned the hard way that a virus mutation allows a gas to get through their protection masks with the horrifying result of more Klowns. They also have a new mission, get the waste of skin female Dr. who helped concoct this devastating virus and may be the key to immunity safely to Florida. Suffering many more heartbreaking losses, the survivors are still clinging on and will do all they possibly can to continue to survive. This book and series is a must read for any fan of the horror with military aspects genre.
The fighting and battles are nonstop in this book. Lee has to pick up a scientist who helped create the horrible virus, but the Klowns want her as well. Loved the Geezer squad who definitely proved that old soldiers still are combat effective. Can hardly wait to read the next book as the lightfighters head to Florida fighting the entire trip.
Great mashup of the comic Crossed and We were Soldiers. Anyone who thinks Pennywise is scary would be absolutely horrified by the klowns. It's refreshing to read a story where the military and government were able to hold on instead of a complete collapse at tge start of the Apocalypse.
I’m not infected I swear. Just Klowning around. See what I did there. In all seriousness I couldn’t stop reading this book and while it took me awhile to pick it back up and get back to this series I throughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next book. Might even go back and reread the others.
Okay. SERIOUSLY? The first book came out in 2013 with the second two following timely and the fourth not too far behind but this one took until 2018. Don't get me wrong, it's a great read and I have really enjoyed the series but so close to a great ending, then this plot twist that... okay... no spoilers but, SERIOUSLY?
As usual, such a good story. I love the characters and feel as if I am in the story. If you haven't read any of the installments then buy them and get busy reading a story that will knock your socks off.
I’m anxious for the next book in the story. This is a tumultuous story of constant combat against insane monsters that laugh constantly. Imagine a chuckle marking you as the enemy. Great story, long odds, freaky read.
This book mainly was about the battle at Fort Stewart to claim one of the mad scientist that made the virus that turned normal people into Killer Klowns. Well written and a good read.
I wise you had gone into the backstory for the four hoursemen and what the virus was because it wasn’t really explained how they made it are the history of it’s creators thoughts on doing it.
