Drilled is one of the books, part of the Hard ‘n Dirty series, all stand alone, but most have references to the others. Iris is an oil tycoon princess, and now she’s been called in by her father to run interference with the media. A chance encounter with Cal opens her eyes to some of the more shadier antics that her father is completing. While their attraction and love runs strong, they’re from two different worlds, made even more apparent with her father’s influence. Can Iris find justice to the wronged workers and find a way to form a life with Cal?
I really enjoyed reading this book! This whole series has been a lot of fun, and this book just continued some of the hard and dirty magic. Iris was an interesting character because she was so scared of her father’s power, was willing to push her man away to keep him safe, but she only wanted to do the right thing. Cal was so supportive, protective, and had a whole lot of passion and dreams! I really liked their connection, but I feel like it went from zero to one hundred in ten pages. This book definitely had an insta-love feel and then they seemed to build on their personal connections and getting to know each other better. I really liked that there was this huge theme of doing the right thing, overcoming the powers that were holding you back, and really fighting for love and happiness! I have loved this series and really enjoyed this addition!

Rich taken care of daddies girl, Iris comes home to help her father take care of business that is not going so well news-wise. She is told what to do and how to do it. Needless to say, Iris is not happy and things are going south fast.
Cal is working for Iris's father at the oilfield. He does his job gets his check and goes home. He doesn't want complications. He is hoping to find a wife and someday have that white picket fence with the 2.5 children. But when Iris shows up at the garage to get her tired fixed, these two are hot for each other.
What transpires next is a wonderful story of mystery and two adults that find each other in a weird time for each of them. And Iris grows while you read this, which is wonderful to read. Great story!

Another Ava Sinclair and another awesome Hard 'n Dirty book . This is Iris and Cal's love story. Iris is summoned by her father to help him with PR for his oil company. Iris meets Cal on her way to this meeting and their initial meeting sparks all kinds of fireworks between the two. They have a lot in common and Cal is impressed with her persona being from a wealthy family. Then as he gets to know her, he realizes he likes her in spite of her spoiled brat persona and wants more of her. Her evil father on the other hand is of another mind . Will these two have a chance for real love or will her father corrupt their romance ?

Yay! Another Ava Sinclair and another Hard 'n Dirty book all in the same place. Be still my pounding heart. I'm so happy. Of course, I'm always happy when I get to read a new Ava Sinclair book.
Iris Tremaine is a rich young woman. Her father, Roger Tremaine, is an oil man in Texas. He's also bombastic, racist, misogynistic, and just plain evil. He has called her in because he wants her to be the pretty new face of his oil company which is reeling under fines and accusations of malfeasance and negligence. But she's pretty, so daddy dearest thinks that she'll be able to snow the lying press with her dazzling smile. But, Iris is miserable. She doesn't want to be there, she's worked really hard to stay away from her father's business, and she knows he didn't want her anyway.
Cal Beaumont came over to Texas from Louisiana after his mother died and his ex told him that she wanted someone better, who was going to make something of himself. He's been working as a roustabout on a Tremaine oil field since. When he sees Iris, he knows that she's got a perfect body, but he figures that she is a spoiled rotten princess. But when he gets his first taste of her, he realizes that she may be a princess, but she's perfect.

A GRITTY blue collared man who will take your breath away! A MUST-BUY!
Another amazing novel in the HARD N’ DIRTY series is “DRILLED” by Ava Sinclair! It is a gritty commentary on the lives, loves, and dangers faced by the rugged men who make their living drilling up the oil that keeps our engines running. It is also an incredibly sensuous tale of one man, Cal, and the boss’s daughter, Iris, who despite the taboo of touching the boss’s daughter is able to “give her what she needs and what money can’t buy.” This reader/reviewer fell in love with Cal and Iris. Him, because he is this moral, sturdy Daddy Dom, and Iris because despite the draw of her father’s money she tries to do what is right. Author Ava Sinclair has developed the most wonderful characters in “DRILLED.” Giving her readers ample events, angst, and dialogue needed to understand who they are as people and fall in love with the flawed and yet striving characters within its pages. The plot is full of twists and turns that this reader found totally unexpected, and I learned a bit about the drilling profession as well. Sinclair’s prose is eloquent, precise yet so descriptive and sensuous I found I had to put the book down and walk away for a bit before I could continue reading! It is a suspenseful story, with Sinclair meeting out just enough information to keep me turning pages as quickly as possible, and then I was sad when it ended. Don’t worry, there is that promised HEA, but I missed Cal and Iris . . . I volunteered to read an ARC copy of “DRILLED” and post an honest review, and “DRILLED” gets a 5+STAR review recommendation. Cal has a drink with the guys after work as much as he doesn’t want to, he ends up sitting with the foreman, from the conversation he hears he knows their talking about safety which there have been a number of complaints about the oilfield.
Iris knows her father thinks having her as the new face of the oil company will help him, he’s facing a fine for not providing safety training and equipment she was he’s plan for the media, he truly believes that Iris’s pretty face will help his company.
Changing Iris’s tire, he thinks she’s a spoiled Daddy’s girl, princess, hearing her father’s racist remark confirms what he thought about the family. Seeing a news story about the company, Cal starts to realise that Iris doesn’t see eye to eye with her father, and, can’t help but think about her knowing he would never be good enough for someone like her.
The more Iris sees, the more she wonders what her father is really doing, he tells her she will do what he says, but Iris knows she needs to find out and organises to meet Cal. Iris admits that she’s scared of her father and what he will do, she’s always relied or him. Cal lets her know that she has to find someone that will take care of her and protect her, but will Iris let Cal be that man, can he get over thinking she’s a spoiled princess or will she be his dirty little princess. Cal Beaumont is just trying to start over. The company he works for is a joke. There is so much BS going on but a job is a job. Iris may be her father’s new PR but she wants to do things her way. Her father isn’t about to let that happen. When Iris blows a tire and has to have it fixed, Cal is the one that helps but her father is never going to accept a half breed (Mexican/Creole).
I have to say this was really an interesting story. When we first meet Cal, they are already looking at him as a nobody. He just wants to do his job and make some money to move on. Then we have Iris, she modelled a while back and her father puts her in the front of all the trouble with the company. He is using her and what’s sad is that this man has no care if he hurts anyone even his daughter. We could be talking about what is going on in the world now: corruption, lies, calling the reporters liars, and going after minorities. Step beyond that and we just have two people that are stuck in the middle that just want to be normal and loved.
I love Cal wanting to take care of Iris and her needing a true “Daddy” that will care. Iris needs Cal’s strength to get her through all the BS her father is putting her through.

Drilled is part of the ‘Hard n Dirty’ and is a great standalone, this is Iris and Cal’s love story. Iris is the Oil Tycoons daughter, she has never had to worry about money or anything in her life. When her father asks her to represent the company and use her degree she is left holding her moral compass knowing that its her against her father. Cal is looking for a fresh start, leaving behind a ex-girlfriend who pick someone else to better her life. Keeping his head down and working towards a life he craves he comes face to face with Iris, she is gorgeous and totally out of his league. When another accident on site occurs, Cal takes action in trying to save another man’s reputation.
Iris and Cal have an instant attraction, both knowing that their encounters are going against what her father would approve of making their time together that much steamier. Their love is quick but strong, dreaming of the future they book desire and making it a reality.
This was my first Sinclair book and I personally really enjoyed it, I think I might have to go and read more of the Hard n Dirty series.

Loved the plot, the characters (except Roger aka Daddy), the hot sex, but hated the ending. It was awkward. Last chapter then it went to other books in the Hard N' Dirty series and the excerpt to the next book in the series. After that is the epilogue to the book. (It's literally set up like this:... Chapter 25, Other Hard N' Dirty Books, Excerpt "Beauty and the Lumberjacks", Epilogue, End) Also, the epilogue seemed rushed. It brought the book down in my opinion.

Cal and Iris take on the world!
Cal and Iris are so perfect together. Iris is sweet and spunky but more than willing to let Cal take care of her, especially when her conscience pits her against her father. Cal is surprised that Iris isn't your typical spoiled rich girl. He's enchanted by her down-to-earth attitude and inspired by her willingness to do what's right, regardless of the cost.
These two have an amazing chemistry, but their love goes much deeper than just a physical attraction. They share similar goals in life and their relationship is solid right from the start. I loved that the drama was all outside of their relationship, and the resolution was authentic and appropriate. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Except for the fact that all the white guys in this book are basically bigoted racists, I enjoyed the story. In my eyes every character in a book is a genetic neutral - no race differentials, everyone is equal (just the way the world should be). Getting through all the adverse dialogue was a little tough, but the story of Iris and Cal is an fairly enjoyable read. Cal is pretty much the same person all through the book but Iris shines as she grows as a person and out of the Daddy's Little Princess roll that her father has basically pushed her into. I love the fact that the author included what happened to the characters after the main portion of the story was concluded. Overall, I would recommend reading this book.

I love Ava Sinclair’s stories wether they are paranormal romances or contemporary romances I love them all, she is a very wicked author. Iris’s father is an oil baron he’s a very evil man and he treats her like a princess but she has a secret that she’s keeping from her father and that is she is seeing Cal Beaumont who’s working on one of his oil rigs. Roger Tremaine wants his daughter Iris to be the new face of the company to hide all of the lies and negligence but Iris isn’t happy and she knows that something isn’t right so she gets Cal to help her investigate it to find out the truth. I loved this story it’s very suspenseful and exciting, a fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Iris Tremaine tries to stay away from her father's oil business he has never met a rule he won't rry and twist and bend to make the most profit but now it has caught up with him and he is facing massive fines He figures she is pretty and will make an ideal image for the company to bad that she doesn't want to be anywhere in his vicinity. Cal Beaumont is a roustabout on her fathers oil rigs when he sees her he thinks she will be a spoilt princess abut when they get to know one another he finds she is just a princess hopefully his princess. Will they have a chance together or will her father destroy this for her as well you will need to read to see if they get their HEA

I enjoyed the dynamics of this story. Cal and Iris were from two totally different worlds, but their attraction was undeniable.
At first I didn't like Iris as a character, but she won me over with her inner dialogue. I liked that she was so conflicted between the way she was raised and what she knew was right. Her dad was an absolute monster. I hate that she was made to believe that she didn't fit in her father's world because she wasn't born a male. Cal was sweet and I enjoyed their interactions with each other.
Overall, it was a good read, but I enjoyed the ending more than I enjoyed the book itself.

I enjoyed this book. It was a fast read with hot smexy scenes. With that said, I did not get emotionally invested in the characters. The story is a good one, deciding between love and money... but the love doesnt feel 100% believable. It appears that the MC and the lead male saw each other twice before professing their love. Maybe there was more backstory, but it wasn't written. The author is fantastic at descriptions when creating worlds. I could easily imagine the hot and humid texas environment. If you are wanting a fast read with hot smexy scenes, this book is for you.

Well if you have not read any of the books in the hard and dirty series then you seriously need to start and what better than a sexy man who is not afraid to get dirty. Love the characters and their chemistry. This auther has such an ability to write books that really book you in. Love the drama and sexy steaminess. I also love how Cal helps her to realise how strong she truly is.

Iris has been beckoned by her father to fix the bad image his oil company has received. When Iris meets Cal because of a flat tire she is suddenly interested in more than her spoiled life. When her father demands things of her she isn't comfortable doing she goes to Cal. This is a good story and I enjoyed reading it.

I really liked Iris and Cal's story. Filled with sizzling chemistry, steamy scenes, drama and intensity this book captures and keeps your interest. It's so easy to root for Cal and Iris but they do have so many things that they need to overcome. Let's just say their path to a HEA is not smooth. A very good romance. This is my totally honest and completely voluntary review.

Once I finally got a chance to read Drilled, I could not put it down. Iris is a woman who does not know how strong she can be, and Cal is just the man to help her find that strength. I loved the epilogue to this book as well. Definitely worth your time to read!

I just love this author, everything she touches turns into a hit. This book was it a real page turner for me with wonderful characters. The book is filled with drama and steamy, sexy scenes. I loved Iris and Cal and all of their chemistry! She doesn’t know how strong she really is and Cal is just man to help her find her strength. I can’t wait to see with this author has in store for us next!

A great story. A truly enjoyable read. I did not like Iris in the beginning of the story but she grew on me as the story continued. Cal is in a really hard spot. He has to decide whether to follow his morals or his boss’s. The fact that Iris is the boss’ daughter really causes Cal to take a hard look at himself. The ending was very satisfying and totally fulfilling. Great job Ms. Sinclair!

While I liked this book, it wasn't one of my favorites from this author. The characters were interesting and they had a few moments where they connected. However the plotline was pretty simple though and I didn't feel a great deal of chemistry between them. He was almost too quiet and she was too wimpy for most of the book.

Great addition to this series. Very fast paced and Insta-love. However it had a great message and unlike the others in the series it had the type of epilogue that I liked to see.

Loved Iris and Cal's story.

I really enjoyed this fast paced love story. Cal and Iris are so perfect and hot together it was pleasure to read their story. Such a great read and epiloue is so amazing.

Wonderful addition to the Hard n' Dirty books. It's a stand alone. Really wonderful story with Cal and his spoiled little rich girl with a conscious and a heart. Great story line and characters.
