A coffee addict and cat lover, USA Today bestselling author Iris Morland writes sparkling, swoon-worthy romances, including the Flower Shop Sisters and the Love Everlasting series.
If she's not reading or writing, she enjoys binging on Netflix shows and cooking something delicious.
Beautifully heartwarming beginning. Quick sweet, fun and emotional romantic introduction to what promises to be an amazing couple.... Loved this glimpse into a engaging romantic journey.
I found this on the freebie list and as soon as I seen the author snagged it. I can't say as I have read a lot by her but the books I have read by her still stick with me. She really adds depth into her characters that practically leap off the page for me.
Phin Younger is a public defender who's new client is an angry teenager being raised by his older sister, Emily. He is sociably awkward and tries to avoid being in large crowds. There is something about Emily that attracts her. He can't stop thinking about her. I loved reading his inner dialog it's not your normal bad boy thoughts but that of a down to earth guy who is lonely and compassionate.
Emily is working as a waitress and is tired of men treating as though her looks is her only asset. She works hard to try to raise brother the way her mother would have approved of but when her brother is arrested for aiding and a bedding she thinks she's failed her. Struggling to make their life better. While I loved the start of this book I can tell you don't bother because All I Want Is You is the complete story and you're gonna want that. If you are a little curious if what I've said about my praises for author go ahead start here. I dare you to stop with just this one. Enjoy
This is such a great prologue to this book. I have loved all the Younger's but Phin has a special place in my heart. I was drawn in from the very first chapter of this prologue. There was just something about Emily that pulled at me. You can tell from the very first chapter that she is such a strong women who has been dealt so many hard blows. She just wants to succeed but everything seems to be against her.In the next chapter we meet Phin. He is such a sweet guy who is really in my opinion trying to save the world because he could not save his mom. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the book has in store for this couple. The first chapters of this book are so amazing.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved the Beauty & The Lawyer! It is the prologue for "All I Want Is You". Phin Younger is an attorney, working hard to help people that need a break. A relationship is the last thing on his mind. Emily has been raising you younger brother since their mother died. She works hard everyday to keep a roof over their head & feed them. Her brother is now sixteen, & he been arrested while hanging out with the wrong people. Emily & Josh are in need of Phin's help. It's great start for the new release of Phin & Emily's story. Can't Wait To Read It!!!
This prologue gives you just enough to get interested in Phin and Emily to want more of their story. Then I started All I Want is You and basically this prologue is basically the first few chapters of the main book. Since Iris Morland has this prologue for free - this is a great way to get a feel for the book and her writing style.
Make sure to one-click and give it a try - you never know, this may be your next favorite read.
In a life where every day is a full-time challenge to survive, Emily has enough on her plate, but when her brother is arrested, her world falls apart. Coming to the rescue is Phil Younger, her brother's court-appointed lawyer. Two emotionally damaged people find in each other a level of attraction they weren't expecting. As a prologue to All I Want is You, this short introduction whets the appetite for more of the main feast.
This is just enough of the story to make me very intrigued. I want to know much more about Phin and the unexpected spark he experiences with Emily. There’s also hints of some outside drama with a rival lawyer and Emily’s brother’s case. However, calling this a prologue is a bit misleading. It would be better termed a six-chapter sample of the book.
This is a nice start to the book All I Want is You. You meet Emily who is trying to raise her brother the best she can, but with his arrest she thinks she failed. Phin is the lawyer who is defending her brother. He is quiet and awkward. I think this book gives the reader a good idea of what these two feel about themselves, others and the world around them. Can't wait for the rest of the book.
A very sweet prologue to All I Want Is You featuring Phin and Emily. I was already excited for that book but having read this prologue, I am near giddy with excitement. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
Emily is raising her brother and trying to survive. She works as a waitress because she didn't finish school. But now her brother has gotten into trouble. Phone is an attorney assigned to his case. They need each other.
I received this book from Booksprout and l am volunteering to leave this review.
This is a prequel to All I Want Is you, it gives you a taste of the book and characters. This was a quick read which was an interesting story and leaves you wanting to know what happens next.
Okay, I'm interested to continue reading the next series of Phin and Emily. I'm curious to know what will happen to Josh, and when and how love story between Phin and Emily spring up. So far the story's nice. I'm gonna let to know it.
This is a really good taste at the story of Phin and Emily. Emily has faced so much in her life and she needs a break badly. Can't wait to read the rest of their story.
Such a great start to the book!! Already hooked on the characters and their story and can't wait to find out what happens!! It's a sweet beginning and am already invested.
