Carlie: Bound

Rate this book
It's been almost three years since they'd met and two since they became a couple. The love between Devlin and Carlie is strong . . . maybe a little too strong. Devlin really wants to make Carlie his wife but fear creeps in. His family history with marriage is full of darkness. His parents have a bad marriage, his siblings all have bad marriages and the last thing he wants is a bad marriage especially with someone he loves so much.

Breaking up with Carlie proves to be the worse decision he has ever made. Not only did he crush her but he broke his own heart. He lucks out and his Carlie takes him back. But the more they are together the more he feels idiotic. Carlie is amazing and she not only loves him to pieces but loves his daughter. She truly is the perfect partner.

Life is changing for them at a speed faster than lightning and the more they go through together, the stronger and more in sync they become. Now more at ease with the idea of marriage, Devlin has to figure out a way to get Carlie to marry him. But with her answer of, "maybe in a decade", will Devlin find the perfect way to make the woman he loves marry him sooner?

Entertaining

It kept my attention. The playfulness of this couple is an asset to the story. The doubts and acceptance of love and being loved is relatable to most people.

Sweet Second Half

I have just discovered Ms. Clayborne and I am feverishly looking for her books. Carlie is out of print but I found the sequel. I absolutely enjoyed this hot sweet story. Delvin and Carlie were opposites in upbringing and life experiences.... But they fit together. They had to overcome his fears and cold feet. Excellent story.
