It took me so long to finish this book, as I paused for weeks, when I reached the 4th or 5th chapter because it wasn't that interesting for me. I somehow predicted how few things will happen, but I kinda like how it's resolved.

The Straight Man is a wonderful novel worth taking the time to read hence it is an Edgar Award for Best Novel. The atmosphere is sad and the language is depressing along with sarcastic; the The Straight Man is categorized in the adult fiction. This book is in fact quite vulgar.
