The main reason this book is getting 1 star from me is this actual quote from pages 302 and 303. "It's very easy to cause misunderstandings due to cultural differences... Similarly, it is not easy for a foreigner with a different cultural background to distinguish between sexual harassment and off-color jokes, as well as the difference between discrimination and an unfriendly attitude." What an view to have and include in a book aimed at foreigners! Wish I hadn't seen that gem of a quote when I'd only just flicked through the book... It left a bad taste in my mouth and put me off finishing it at all.

Another reason I disliked it was the strange mix of pretty advanced Chinese and ridiculously low level phrases like "have a good weekend." Many of the earlier sections are repetitive at times and I felt the book would have been better with a greater number of sample sentences. The book has no practice exercises either.
