Rewriting Justice #4

Beware The Hunter

Rate this book
The hunt is on – but who’s the prey?

Leira Berens is the government’s newest bounty hunter of magical thugs – the first in the country. That’s not sitting well with a lot of dark magic. Leira, Correk and that troll YTT can see them coming. Too bad they don’t know that’s just the beginning of the story.

Dark elementals have shown up in our world and no one knows what to do with them, but everyone wants control. Everything Leira has learned will be tested in order to keep the balance between Earth and Oriceran.

Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.

I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.

There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.

Thank you for checking out my stories!

Kindle Unlimited, same as it has been, the blurb doesn't really make sense {Leira has been a bounty hunter for most if not all of 2.0 series}, STILL issues because of or in spite of that there are beta readers and JIT/ARC readers were so many errors, from spelling to punctuation {or lack of} to sentences and thoughts that didn't end full, still continuity issues between something that was one way last book or previous chapter of this now being contradictory. This is big issue in ALL the various series. Books feel 'rushed' in the writing of, and definitely doesn't seem to help that all the books are read by the same beta/arc readers, so it being universe means that all the others by any of the writers are mixed together, Leira and Brownstone and Shay and Allison with all of the other universe ones and possibly with all books being sent out in total, which while Leira and Brownstone and Shay and Alison books cross over, a little, the others haven't from what I bothered to read of them {stopping at 3-4 books on those series}, and it's really causing such a number and type of errors and issues to keep slipping through. I believe that all other Oriceran Universe books, since they don't or very rarely cross over to Leira ones except for Brownstone/Shay/Alison, should be separate team readers, too.

NOTE: They are supposed to be having a type of change to Leira soon {no spoilers, it is in the back of the last book if have to know} and also another story arc {or 2} for Alison/school of necessary magic, but with Brownstone and Shay books in the mix, those definitely need to be handled separately, to catch all problems. Carr told me to hold in/on, there were changes of various types coming up soonish, so I'm hanging in, for now.

NOTE: This book and the related books {Brownstone, Shay, even the supposedly 'teen' oriented School of Necessary Magic contains cursing, usually for no real purpose, actually contains more in that series than in Brownstone and Shay which are adult oriented.

Loved series

Honestly though these last 4 books had no plausible plot. It was a vague. No real descriptions of what and why the characters were doing what they did. How were the dark families going to achieve a state of power and control. I don't know. What was the whole dark market problem and what were the problems oriceran was facing. Dunno that was cheating a bit people. To vague out the plot in order to speed write 12 book. Overall it was wonderful creation of memorable characters. I'd go back and do some quality control. Tighten it up, pull things together better and then you would have some top notch books. These remind me of drafts that were never corrected before turning them in. The grade would reflect that oversight. Still it's good

Freaking awesome!!!

I'm sad to find this series ending, thrilled to discover there are more series in this universe, and so tired 'cause I was up playing D & D until 1am. It's 2 now, and I just got finished with Liera and company. I started reading the 2nd series of the School of Necessary Magic but I could tell that I was missing a lot of previous action. I've had the best time reading these parts of the ongoing story. Batfuck is my hero. I can't get enough of that furry little dude. The superhero is also a scene-stealing little thief! LMAO Keep up the most excellent work!

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

What a mess! 😳 Leira and Correk have their hands full, and YTT is along for the ride as a matter of course. I love how people put their skills to the best use, regardless of gender and race. Our world needs more of this.

Fast-paced action, quick witticisms, and an interesting plot. Threads are being woven together from previous books and forming anew for future events. Awesome!

Leira and Correk prove again they are totally badass

Leira along with Correk and Yumfuck show the world they are not to be screwed with. Battling Dark families with unusual artifacts, saving people from the "World in Between", and last but not least one of America's slimy politicians in Washington, DC. Can't wait to see what is next.

A lot of frayed edges are tied off

Strange goings on in two worlds, but you know there's a whole lot of strange in this series. Trouble in the dark market, but isn't there always? A lovely heroine is dragged from the world between and restored to her lover. Dark families foiled and a warrior shifter ends up running a government program, what ever else can happen?

Best troll every

And if you want to know more about this crazy cute, crazy scary troll. I suggest you read the Liera Chronicles, she is a bad ass, and her other half is a hunky elf.
All the characters are great and I love the world you created. So please continue I want more of Liera and her crew. And could you please make me Lucius' love interest. Hub a hubba. ; )

Fun wrap up

I really enjoyed this book. it finished off most of the storylines, but left some options for later without leaving you in limbo. The characters in this series are great and there is plenty of action and humor for everyone. I'm now off to start the Brownstone series.

Fun story

Liera has her hands full in this one. Every bad actor is out for her head. Even though she's up against the wall her friends come to her aid and she wins the game. Looking forward to the next adventure.

Sad to see this series wrap up

What a crazy fun ride of a series. I enjoyed Leira and this whole series and would recommend all the Oriceran series that I've read so far! It's a great escape. And looks it's time to pick my kids up from school again.

Oh no, the end!

I know we’ll see all the characters again but I hate the end of an arc! You need to make an Oriceran coloring book! Just call him Yum the Troll though for the kids!

Yes what a heroine

Liera and Corrick are such a good match as characters to each other. Much resolution in this one, and the ties to other series are becoming clearer.

I’m Done

This is a long detailed series. It’s exciting, humorous and weaves two worlds in its building. It’s time for me to leave it alone and find other magical beings.
