I found this book and loved the synopsis so I was immediately hooked and ready to read it. Then I found out that it was only 65 pages? Okay, not a fan of small books but then I figured if it was short it probably got to the point fast and the exciting and sexy things would come faster. Man, that was an understatement. Leave your knickers at the door indeed lol. It was really good. And I mean REALLY good. So good that I immediately had to find all of Alexa Banger's other books and start in on those ASAP.
I was surprised by the marriage purposal at the end and the informing the dad but everything about this book was so GOOD that I just went along with it.

This is basically some age gap smut. Nothing wrong with that though! Just know what you're getting into. I thought it was decent.

Mmmm yeah, I love me some dad’s best friend reads and this was nice and steamy. Pretty short so it was definitely right to the point but Taylor had known Mike for awhile already and had been crushing on him hard. Then she turned 18 and whaddya know? Mike has been lusting after Taylor and now that she’s 18.. all bets are off. But it’s cute because they love each other. A nice HEA.

Where has this author been all My life? And why haven’t I discovered her until now? Her writing is right, the steam is nuclear reactor hot and the stories are awesome.
And I LOOOOVE the fact that the heroine is a virgin being claimed by a sexy, possessive older man. She hasn’t spread her legs for anyone other than the hero and that only intensifies the emotional connection.

This was really quick and sexy and with my short attention span right now was much needed.
Don't really remember names of the characters...sometimes with these shorter books that happens.
Heroine finds her boyfriend cheating on her and he embarrasses her saying to the gathered group that are hanging out, that she's bad in bed. Which is impossible for him to know whether it's true or not because they have never had sex. Heroine, who's always had a crush on the Hero, goes to his house and asks for him to teach her how to be good at sex. Hero is not only 20 years older than her but also her dad's best friend.
So if you're into forbidden romance, age-gap, and dad's best friend romances give this one a shot. However if you're looking for pregnancy romance it didn't really deliver on that. There was unprotected sex but any pregnancy was just mentioned in the epilogue.

I love reading a good age gap story, so I'm bummed to say this fell flat for me. To start with, all the characters seemed very juvenile (including the mmc, who is 48 yet can't take his eyes off the mfc tits for more than two seconds). Secondly, Mike gave me a case of the ick almost right away. She shows up at his house distraught (well, she's supposed to be, but as soon as she sees him all she can think about is banging him but whatever) and he gives her alcohol and starts talking about how any man that sees her would want to fuck her brains out. In every other age gap I've ever read, especially when the mfc is barely legal - like Taylor in this book - the mmc is always hesitant in a way, feeling like the gap is too much and they shouldn't even really talk, blah blah, but as the story goes on, the connection builds and you, the reader, can see that the mmc isn't some perv just after some young girl, ya know? None of that in this book. And it's his best friend's daughter too. The little bit of hesitancy he shows to actually touch her after she asks him to is weak and laughable. Then there's the whole thing where she says he started looking at her differently (as in constantly staring at her tits) at her 18th birthday party. Puh-lease. She didn't up and sprout boobs overnight. This is a personal take of mine, but I hate when authors go out of their way to make it unrealistically clear that the older man wasn't into the younger version of the younger woman before she was 18. He's not blind.
Anyways - after her coming to his house, then her telling him she wants to have sex, it all starts to read like a really bad fantasy/porno. Awkward/bad dirty talk, unrealistic pacing, she's a virgin but anything she does even though she has zero experience is the best he's ever had done to him, that sort of thing. It also annoyed me that one second she is thinking about how she can tell he is into her, then the next she says there's no way he is into her, then it's back to how she can tell he's attracted to her and has been for a while, then back to no he isn't - you get it. It's repetitive and annoying.
And the sex. My eyes hurt from rolling so hard. He turns her down after they mess around a little, but she stays the night. The next day he goes to take a shower and she gets in the pool, then she gets out and comes inside and he literally pounces on her. Screws her right then and there. There's no build up, foreplay, nada. Virgin Taylor is no more. Afterwards he tells her to come to him and only him for sex. Then it's on to round two, where he tells her he loves her in the heat of the moment. Yep. And her dad shows up later that day and Mike tells her dad he is in love with her and wants to marry her and have children with her. (This is a novella so the pacing is gonna be faster than normal but jfc, really? lol.) But she wants all that too, her dad is cool with it, and that's literally the end. Well, then there's the epilogue, but it is just as bland as the rest of the book.

Honestly a mixed set of emotions on this one. I think it was just super short and rushed at the end for me. It had a ton of potential to be amazing, but the end was just so abrupt. There was an easy connection with the characters and then it was done.

Really great book, but you are really just reading porn hub. I would not recommend it if you want a more developed story. This is smut and nothing more; I still very much loved this book. This author is amazing, and I recommended it for a little quick read.

My issue is that it says dads best friend pregnancy romance but there is no pregnancy! In the epilogue they talk about how they have three kids. That's it. I just thought it was misleading. Otherwise it was cute and short. I like a little more plot but it was good.

Sometimes something bad happens to lead you where you belong. Really enjoyed Taylor and Mike's story. They were quite funny (I thought) and I had some good laughs. Definitely worth the read.
