A Midwinter Wager by Elizabeth Keysian Her viscount's been stolen… When her stepsister tricks her noble beau into a fake engagement, Miss Francesca Heathcote tires of playing nice. She'll even risk ruin to win him back. A game of dare, a wager and a night in a haunted room offer a chance to set him free, but her conniving stepsister has one more ace up her sleeve…
Christmas wore Plaid by E. Elizabeth Watson When Scarlet Fever forced Emerson Lindt to move to England, her only consolation was Brady MacInnes's promise of writing-letters that never arrived. When she returns to Scotland years later, Brady is adamant that he never betrayed her. And though poverty plagues Scotland and stretches Brady's pocketbook, their love for each other flares anew. Can a Christmas miracle and the spirit of giving finally grant them a future together after they were denied marriage so long ago?

Robert Danbury wants the mistletoe kiss Amelia denied him years ago, but nothing more; loving a woman again is an unthinkable risk. Then they're caught innocently in bed together and Robert has an instant to choose: Amelia's reputation, their lost love, or his conscience.
Let it Snow by Diana Lloyd When he stole her first kiss one Christmas, Tobin Everleigh didn't realize it would be ten years before he got another. Saffron Thomas is determined to forget the kiss and the boy who called it a folly. When fate brings them back together for a holiday celebration a fiery game of Snapdragon gone wrong and a midnight dash through a snowstorm proves their attraction was no game.
A Captain for Christmas by Evelyn Isaacks Georgiana Throckmorton is eager to return to social life after years of isolation in the north of England. When she's invited to spend Christmas with an old friend she never expects to be reunited with her first love-Alexander Forrester, who ran away to the sea after he made love to her. Passion reignites once again, but past hurts loom over their second chance at love.
This is a sweet Christmas anthology made up of five short stories, each story is all about reuniting and rekindling love between the characters that you just know are made for each other. I have read Elizabeth Keysian and Eve Pendle before but the other’s are new to me authors, I found each story to be fun, romantic and enjoyable short reads.
What I love about anthologies is that not only are you reading stories from authors you know and enjoy reading, but your also introduced to new authors. What’s better then that? Each story is well developed, the character’s and their journey’s to their happily ever afters are easy to read, refreshing and a real joy to read, plus I really applaud the fact that the proceeds of Love Rekindled at Christmas is to support Planned Parent hood.
Each of the five stories are so different to one and other, the writing in each stories keeps the reader turning the pages and each one tells the stories of a couple who for one reason or another have drifted apart over time, then as with all romance stories each couple gets the chance to re-kindle their love with the special one.
All in all a great selection of romantic festive stories.
A Midwinter Wager by Elizabeth Keysian Her viscount's been stolen… When her stepsister tricks her noble beau Viscount Lonsdale into a fake engagement, Miss Francesca Heathcote tires of playing nice. She'll even risk ruin to win him back. A game of dare, a wager and a night in a haunted room offer a chance to set him free, but her conniving stepsister has one more ace up her sleeve Enjoyable read but I found Alicia over the top & several times I wanted to give her a slap!

When she returns to Scotland years later, Brady is adamant that he never betrayed her. And though poverty plagues Scotland and stretches Brady's pocketbook, their love for each other flares anew. Young love being separated & then finding each other again one of my favourite tropes & I thoroughly enjoyed this short story
A Pineapple in a Pine Tree by Eve Pendle Five years after breaking Amelia Chilson's heart, he's back. Robert Danbury wants the mistletoe kiss Amelia denied him years ago, but nothing more; loving a woman again is an unthinkable risk. Then they're caught innocently in bed together and Robert has an instant to choose: Amelia's reputation, their lost love, or his conscience. A lovely second chance story which I read in a sitting & wished had been longer as I didn’t want it to end!
This was my favourite, the banter between Tobin & Saffron so very entertaining & hag me laughing out loud at times.

When she's invited to spend Christmas with an old friend she never expects to be reunited with her first love-Alexander Forrester, who ran away to the sea after he made love to her. Passion reignites once again, but past hurts loom over their second chance at love. A new author & I look forward to reading more from her. Another enjoyable read & the way it was written it was possible to see what each was thinking
Five delightful short stories that I’ve been able to delve into when I’ve had a couple of spare hours, I enjoyed some more than others but all were well worth the read & most I read in a sitting My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Reunion stories are one of my favorite and it was a joy to read these 5 stories!
A Midwinter Wager by Elizabeth Keysian - 3 Stars
This story was just an ok read for me. I've read others by Keysian and really enjoyed them, but I had to force myself to finish this one. The step-sister was just way over the top and a bit much for me.
Christmas wore Plaid by E. Elizabeth Watson - 4 Stars
I really enjoyed this story. Young love torn apart by their elders just trying to do right by them. I loved watching these two come back together again.
A Pineapple in a Pine Tree by Eve Pendle - 4 Stars
I really liked this story. These two were separated because neither let the other know how they felt about the other. Can they use this second chance to finally find their HEA?
Let it Snow by Diana Lloyd - 5 Stars
LOVED this story!! The bantering between Tobin and Saffron had me laughing out loud! Can't wait to read more by this author!
A Captain for Christmas by Evelyn Isaacks - 5 Stars
I loved this story too! It was a little different in that it was 1st person and switched back and forth between the H/H, but it made for a very interesting read since you got to see inside the head of both of them. I will definitely be picking up more from the author as she writes more!
Celebrating Christmas can mean many things but what stands out is Love. Love for your family, love for friendships, love for your beliefs and love everlasting. But, when you had love and then it goes away due to death, another controlling your future or whatever fate can do you can always try to change it. As in this wonderful Historical Christmas book, five amazing authors pulled together their characters of missed chances of love to give fate a hand in helping the characters to rekindle the love they deserve in the Season of Joy and love. The unique way these author wove their stories is to use a regency party game, SnapDragon as to how this couples find their love..again. Each author will bring each couple together by reuniting them using snowstorms, trickery, and even hiding them. If you enjoy reading regency romances especially during the holidays you will love each of these authors, they will bring you back in time where families get together spreading holiday cheer, the scenery at that time with the action of the characters will have you along with them and you'll be turning the pages to get to the end but then you will want more and these authors do not disappoint their readers they will have a list of books for you to choose and enjoy their special stories. I really loved this book and I know you will too..
Not only was this anthology about my favorite theme, but they were all well written stories. I met so many new authors that I will follow and read other stories by them. This is truly a great series. Spoiler: the name of this book should have been 'Snap Dragon Love'.
A nice collection of holiday stories. I enjoy reading anthologies with a threaded theme. Here, each author encorpprated the game Snap Dragon pretty seamlessly. Well done.
