A must-have TV tie-in gift book: the wit, wisdom, and frequent diatribes of mad scientist Rick Sanchez of Cartoon Network's Rick and Morty, the critically-acclaimed, #1 animated series on TV.
For the first time anywhere, the wit, wisdom, observations, rants, raves, and general ramblings of mad scientist Rick Sanchez from Cartoon Network's hit animated TV series Rick and Morty, compiled in one essential volume.
Each season Rick and his grandson Morty embark on thrilling domestic and intergalactic adventures, all for the benefit of science (and Rick's inflated ego). But what makes the depraved genius tick? Now Rick is eager to impart his unique (and sometimes disturbing) take on life, love, and everything in-between for the benefit of aspiring mad scientists everywhere.
Fully illustrated with color images from the show, The World According to Rick is a collection of Rick's most famous (and not so famous) sayings, monologues, and quotes, complete with a personal introduction by the mad man himself. A truly unique and special book, this collectible is sure to become a cult favorite like the show that inspired it.

Read this to please my son after trying to actually watch the show and neither made a heck of a lot of sense but at least one made me laugh out loud and long.
There is NO ORIGINAL TEXT in here, all quotes are straight from the show. Only a few pages have illustrations and of those only a few are original.
80% of the pages are single quote on slightly a slightly colored background. The other 20% has a quote on 1 page, and a illustration on the other, most of which aren't original.
This is a mediocre coffee table book at best.
Edit: There is a tiny bit of original text (The introduction and the quotes on the back are original) and honestly the best parts of the book.
Uhm, I mean I guess I thought it would’ve been an actual novel or deconstructed version of looking into Rick’s mind? Not a catchphrase book with some pictures to make up for the lack of general content?
I love Rick and Monty A LOT. Like, it’s the most awesome America animation I’d seen in a while. I do find it funny he seem very ironically Republican in some of his statements and in other times liberal. That has nothing to do with this; it’s just that the most highlighted catchphrases are at best what a Republican would say or perhaps someone incredibly hurt and emo perhaps. Jussayin.

Terrible. I love Rick & Morty and this book is just regurgitated snippets from the show with absolutely no context. Instead of just reading the pithy quotes (half of which aren't even that funny without the surrounding situation of the show), I could have just rewatched my favorite episodes.
They could have at least asked Dan Harmon or Justin Roiland to make some new content for fans to supplement this.
This is not a book-- it is just a bunch of quotes from the show. Don't get me wrong, many are funny and noteworthy, but it's not long enough or substantial enough to justify the price.
It's just a couple pictures with random Rick quotes from the show. Not worth the money, and why is a Rick and North book censored? Just go watch the show.
