I made a mistake and had a taste of something sweet, something forbidden, something highly addictive. My cousin. It's no secret that I'm greedy, and I want more. Now I just have to convince her pretty ass that she does too.
Just as things begin to heat up between Elizabeth and her cousin, she pulls away frightened of what it all means and goes off to pursue funding for her new business.
Convincing people to make decisions that they wouldn't normally make is Roman's specialty. It's just that he's going to have to find other more creative ways to make this particular target bend to his will.
This is the second part of a two part series. The entire series is now complete and available exclusively on Amazon!

About me: Hi, my name is Lisa and I am the USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance and romantic suspense novels. I grew up an only child gorging myself on daytime soaps, night time dramas, and romance novels. I'm a wife, mom of 4 daughters, mom of 2 labradoodles and a houseplant hoe!
I didn't really like book one but Noo!!! I just couldn't leave it alone because of the cliffhanger at the end. It's not bad, it's just not good and the sole reason. Her. She ANNOYS!!! Me. If it wasn't for the heroine being so stupid I could have tolerated it better. Whateves on to the next.
I hate it when a book is fluffed out with absolute crap just to make a book longer you then have to see where the story is going because your hooked. The story it self when stuck to is ok. I have questions that I want answers to so I'm going into book 3 under protest, if that is fluffed out the same way then books 4 and 5 will be a big no, because right now it's peeing me off.
I'm so glad that there wasn't a huge time delay between this book and the first one. The connection between Roman and Elizabeth was so intense that I could not wait to see where this went. They simply cannot ignore the pull between them and if anything is just seems to get stronger.
'I'm a hot mess. But Roman is my weakness'
Roman's father would be furious if he found out about their guilty secret. Roman is at the stage where he just doesn't seem to care anymore and Elizabeth wants to pull away, to do the right thing. She has a career plan and is determined to achieve what she set out to do. She can't afford to get pulled into Roman's web and get side tracked by his sexy words and irresistible body. Being with a man like him could complete consume her and she doesn't want to rely on anyone for anything.
What's the worst that could happen, their parents throw a hissy fit but eventually get over it? Sometimes the fear of what could happen can completely overwhelm you. Sometimes you have to put your own happiness first and just deal with the fallout. What is the thing you are most afraid of is the one thing that could make you happy?
I really enjoyed this conclusion to what has a been fantastic story.
I have to say that I was really disappointed with the ending of this book. with less than 10% left in the book, it's revealed that they are together to both parents. She moves out. She and he are happy. Dad retires. He doesn't take all of dad's jobs. Why? No more info is given about the app she is creating, no resolution with his mom. Ethan is still out there somewhere.
It's like when a kid writes a story, and decides they are done. So, in one sentence, everything is concluded. A big ol "THE END" is tacked on, and the story is done.
I loved how Masterson grew during the book. I love how he came to understand his love for Elizabeth. I just wish the ending hadn't been so rushed and that SHE had stopped using the phrase "frack!" Still drove me crazy throughout this book!

Just like with the first book, the "frack" drove me nuts! Not cute to me at all.
Elizabeth was also a crazy cock tease at the beginning and had the nerve to blame Roman for her indecisiveness. Her character was a little annoying to me this time.
My advice, I am almost positive you can do this on Amazon, buy them as a group, not single books, you need them all to be able to get the whole story. just saying. I got the 1st book for free through Lisa's email ... newsletter ... something about that Amazon had taken it off their site for whatever reason ... for language or the content??! i don't recall her word for word just saying how i recall it ... any who ... i read it ... i guess it is sort of a taboo subject or read but they are not true cousins, only by marriage ... i say that is not their choice, that would be any kind of relationship, u didn't pick the relationship, u parents did. does that make sense, it does to me??! ... gosh that is not a spoiler is it??! I think u have to read all 3 to get the whole story and understand it all. not sure how they got separated ... u need them all for the full understanding. just saying. ( ;
Does the book get better ? I care not..... Thought I did skip to the end from around 40 or soo percent and after all the BS we have to slog thru it just seemed a happy for now ... She still couldn't stomach living with him on a daily basis... Which surprised me just a little coz she seemed soo weak willed with him,a it seemed most of the time if he wanted it he got it... Coz honestly orgasms were her crack and he was her dealer.... They both seemed one-dimensional and their fighting wasn't soo much sexy as just very annoying, his back story could have made this interesting but all Roman seems to think about is either sex with her or dominating her and honestly ? I'm not sure what she wanted her app. ? Yeah Sorta ... But she was his willing addict one second and running from a feigned familial relationship the next and never really trying to get to know or understand anyone or anything the rest of the time.... Liz has NO clue what he does or what her Uncle does and doesn't care... Honestly I'd like to think if she knew the reason she was almost trampled to death the night she met Roman and that he was the coz and why he coz' it she'd have run for the hills and not looked back... And if she did sadly she must have forgiven him according to the end... Soo glad this was KU
I thought the first book was quite good but i just couldn't with this one! Absolutely hated Elizabeth, she was just so horrible - such a whiny little child! As for Roman, now i love an alpha male in the books i read, but, Roman was just over the top so much, he was literally a stalker, keeping tans on her constantly, taking her from her friends house when she was having a girls night - i would not find any of this endearing, its just overbearing.
My most hated part of this book - FRACKING!!! ON EVERY SINGLE PAGE!!!!!! Seriously, i get it your h doesn't like the word fuck but really, are you telling me that if she did use that word she did use that word she would say it in every conversation. It drove me mental and is probably one of the main reasons i gave this 1 star. That may seem silly to some but read it the book and you will see what i mean
Lol. Okay so I had been waiting a long time for this second book!! Great job on this. Good story. Just felt that it could have been a better ending. Like maybe roman connecting with his mother or Joseph even a bit more. I didn't like Joseph n wanted to know his story. So yup.
But I loved the hot steamy scenes!! Hehe. And I felt bitsy needed to hold out a bit more. Like she was in a constant fog of him. Like stand ur ground at times. He seemed like a dominant. But it was hot. Suited him. Loved the m n m thing !!
So yea. Thank god thst weren't related. Or that would be yea. So technically not cousins but cousins. But hot lovers!!
So I forced myself to finish the first one only to find out that the drawn out drama couldn't possibly be solved with one book. Since I had nothing better to do I thought I'd finish book 2 so I can at least see if the possible intrigue builds into something redeeming the book 1. It fails to deliver on the promise of the cliffhanger, fails to show any improvement in the personalities of the characters, and generally left me pissed that in 500 pages the author could not successfully create and resolve a decent subplot to the "love" story she attempted to create.
The heroine in this story is SO ANNOYING she just doesnt know what she wants and cares way too much more than normal about what other people think.
she also says "Frack" ALOT! Frack this Fracking that Frack Frack Frack
Its ANNOYING
I get its from Battlestar Galactica whatever its just weird to read I dont like it
I kept fixating on that way too much
It didnt help that the story line wasn't too different from the first book: she's afraid to move forward with him and doesn't get too involved. Ugh, Pluh-lease.
Really sexy fake taboo. Related by marriage only cousins sooooo not really taboo. But it was a little creepy how much they called each other cousins even while fucking. Sheesh.
This book is the continuation of a 3-book series --- they are not meant to be standalones, so if you haven't read book 1, then you need to before reading this one or you will be totally lost. This review will contain spoilers from the first book, so if you haven't read book 1, stop here.
Cousins Book 2 picks up right where Cousins 1 left off, and this installment gets much more down and dirty in terms of the heat factor than the first one did. The MCs are no longer fighting the attraction aspect of their relationship, but there is still major concern (especially from the h) that becoming officially involved with the H will ruin the already delicate family balance that exists without additional fuel to feed the fire. The H is past caring about what his family thinks because of his difficult family history/experiences, and he pushes the h more and more to be with him in the open. This is most of the strife for this book, although there are a couple of other external issues that come into play as well.
This is book 2 in a trilogy that should be read in order.
OKay I honest to god love this author. I usually don't have favorite authors (I know that's weird but I gravitate to certain plots rather than styles) but she cracked me up. Not that the story itself was particularly funny but Lisa Lang Blakeney managed to weave her own personality and opinions (or so it seemed) subtly into the story. Like with Shrek, it didn't click until the end but the fact that there were so many Shrek references cracked me up. Apart from that it was a good read, their relationship wasn't the sweetest/perhaps even healtheist at times so if you're bothered by extreme overprotective, moody, alpha, controlling behaviour then perhaps this isn't the best book for you. But it was a good steamy, sexy and at times sweet novel. Would read again.
With Elizabeth and Roman's relationship new and untested, many situations developed into arguments resulting in uncertainty and hard feelings. This was a very unsettled time in this story causing both Elizabeth and Roman to really search their feelings and decide how much they wanted this relationship to succeed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Roman had discovered happiness and contentment with Elizabeth. The big bad boy really did have a tender heart. This fast paced, emotion filled narrative was a joy to read. Can't wait for the conclusion of Elizabeth and Roman's story in the final book. Very Enjoyable!!!!
I felt like I had to purchase this second instalment of the Masterson series to figure out if they were ever going to actually tell anyone they were getting down.
Turns out yes, but at the VERY end of this book, after badly hiding it from everyone for about 350 iPad pages. The spicy scenes even got boring bc it was the same stuff every single time “not yet” “you’re being punished” etc. it felt half-assed and wasn’t particularly exciting. It kind of felt like a vanilla/potentially sexually-inexperienced author attempting to write BDSM? I was thoroughly underwhelmed the entire time.
I won’t be finishing the series.

This is the second book in the Fixer series and the second book dealing Elizabeth and Roman. I am usually not a big fan of cliffhangers but I have to say this one is well written. These two character have lots of problems. The one that I grew to hate was when everyone kept calling them cousins. They are blood related. This isn't a quick easy read. This one is worth reading and worth your time. This one is well written. I did like some of the secondary characters and I can't wait to see their stories!!!
Dnf at 54% which is enough into the book that I feel ok leaving a star review.
I’m pissed. I actually used kindle credits on this garbage because the first book ending on a cliffhanger that inferred that this one might actually have some action. Spoiler- it doesn’t.
Also, can we talk about how these two main characters are the worst. I was rooting for her to end up with jagger and that’s not how romance books are supposed to be.
And the frack?? Holy hell. Authors take note, stop giving your mc’s little catch phrases or words and the use them every other paragraph.
Despite their difference and the world been against them as a couple, I felt that Elizabeth and Roman really grew as individuals and a couple. They are just perfect for each other. I'm so glad that they got a HFN ending.
The only annoying part is the amount of times 'frack' is said. I felt it wasn't needed and I started to skip the word altogether. It was really taking away from the enjoyment of the book in some areas.
Elizabeth and Roman heat up the pages even more now that they aren't hiding their relationship. I get tickled and shake my head as their dynamics unfold. There are still unanswered questions that hopefully come to light in the next issue of this series. I'm lovin it!
Elizabeth is in the Bahamas trying to get an investor for her college bucks app. While she's there her Ex Ethan is there as well. When Roman finds out he flies out there to make sure no one gets his girl. Roman wants to come out and show everyone that him and Elizabeth are a couple. But can she?Great read.
I like that Masterson and Elizabeth have their issues still and it is not easy to deal with them when everyone is against you. However, Once again, the realness of these character's thoughts and actions pull you into the story and make you go through it all with them. Another happyish ending and on to book 3.
This book is hot, romantic and funny. Love the series. I read the first king book first, yet it did not ruin this series. Like a lot of KU books, there are some editing errors, yet there is not that much distraction
I just loved it and how they finally admitted they have feelings for each other. Oman may be a little obsessive when it comes to Elizabeth but his heart is in the right place.
Love sometimes cannot be predicted and especially with who you would want to be with. Elizabeth and Roman fight fate and their feelings for each other. It truly is a profound love. A love deep and all consuming. Great series!
Roman and Elizabeth continue with a love, hate relationship. Roman follows her to the Bahamas where she is pitching the app presentation. To Elizabeth's surprise Ethan from her past is there, coincidence or not? The story gets interesting but tensions are high for all involved.
I am glad that Elizabeth finally (on her birthday) told her parents and Aunt and Uncle that she and Roman were involved. She stood up as she should have at the beginning as a grown woman! Whew! I am now going to read book 3!
