Riley has a secret. One that some vampires would kill her for.
Problem is...she doesn't know it yet.
Riley was a normal twenty-four-year-old girl. She lived in the city, worked as a private investigator, and went home each night alone.
All that changes with one missing person's case.
On the hunt for a missing girl, she's thrown into a world of supernaturals she never imagined existed. And with the discovery of her unique ability, her life is now in danger.
Luckily, she has two new men in her life who are desperate to keep her safe. Lucian, a vampire with devastatingly good looks and old school charm. And Aiden, her new live-in werewolf bodyguard with his boy-next-door appeal and laid-back attitude.
But will they be enough to protect her?
With people continuing to disappear around the city, it's becoming obvious there's something bigger going on...something none of them could have anticipated.
As Riley tries to navigate the ever-growing threat against her life, her deepening feelings for Lucian, and the idea that maybe she never was normal after all, she's beginning to wonder if she'll survive this.
And to top it all off, she still has a missing person's case to solve.

‘Silver Moon’ was a pretty solid read. It definitely had both pros and cons but ultimately I settled on a 3 star rating. I really liked the fact that the main character, Riley, was more realistic and relatable in the bravery department than most protagonists I’ve come across. She wasn’t afraid to admit that she was scared, she acknowledged that the crazy situation she was thrown into was affecting her mentally, she didn’t rush headfirst into danger thinking she could handle everything herself and she was willing to lean on other people for help when she needed it without argument (like a normal human!) I found that very refreshing since most heroines try to deal with everything alone, throw themselves right into the thick of it and sacrifice themselves. Am I the only one who would at least pause to consider a little selfishness and my own wellbeing if I was being stalked by a sadistic vampire? It was a very quick read with only around 256 pages and was pretty easy to follow since it’s set in the real world.
However, the romance was quite bland for my tastes and since it took quite a while to actually blossom it was underwhelming when we did finally get there. I’m hoping it improves over the next two books but that did knock a star off my rating. Also, because the book was shorter a few areas weren’t fully hashed out. Riley’s reaction to finding out that the supernatural existed was pretty much just “okay then”. There’s a mystery hinged around Riley that is danced around a lot but we never really find out even a fraction of what that actually is. Lastly, I’m unsure whether this book is a Twilight fanfiction or not but there are a lot of similarities and once you see them they’re glaringly obvious. Sometimes too much so.
That aside, as I said it is a solidly enjoyable book and I will be carrying on with the series in the hope it will get better and better. I also have to praise it for pulling me out of a reading slump!
Okay, so this is not a love triangle as advertised but don't worry because that is actually a good thing.
The stable relationship between the main character Riley and her love interest Lucian is actually a plus for me. I would almost call it sweet. It is very insta-lust and they fall in love very quickly which I am not a fan of but they acknowledge this in the book which makes it better for me.
I read it in less than a day, not because I was really into it but because it is so easy to read. It isn't a bad book and if I have nothing better to read I might continue the series one day, but I wasn't blown away. I don't regret reading it, it just didn't blow me away.
This first book introduces Riley Hunter private investigator and how she first meets the vampire Lucian at his club, Silver Moon. They become quite enamored of each other as Lucian helps in her investigation of a missing girl. Threats and stalkings from an enemy vampire up the suspense and keep Lucian in extreme protector mode over Riley. I enjoyed this book that has sparked my interest in this series. Good job!

This story combines human interest, comic relief, romance and suspense. Riley Hunter a human PI discovers vampires exist and that she can detect their presence. Unfortunately she attracts the interest of not one but two different male vampires, Lucien the local vampire law enforcer who respects humans and is definitely interested in getting to know Riley better and Malus, a rogue who abducts humans and forcefully turns them and wants to turn and use Riley.
Silver Moon by Amanda Lynn is a wonderful story to read. WOW!!!! A brand new story and author for me. I am so in love with this story with the vampires and werewolf and a private investigator man what isn't there to love about this story. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves paranormal stories and if you buy this story you will not be disappointed at all.
