About the author

I live in a small town in Wisconsin. From my deck, I can see the Mississippi River on one side and the bluffs, where eagles live and nest on the other side. I live with my husband Dave and dog Buddy. My two children are grown and I have two grandchildren. I love to watch people and that has helped me with my writing. I often use people I watch as characters in my books and I always try to give my characters some of my own values and habits.

I love to create characters and put them in a troubling situation then sit back and let them do all the work. My characters surprise even me at times. At some point in the book, they take on a life of their own and the twists and turns they create becomes the story. Of all the stories, I could write I found I like mystery/thrillers the best. I like to keep my readers guessing until the very end of the book.

Yuri: Raven is determined to protect her brother at any cost. Yuri is looking for the person who stole from him. Both had hellish childhoods. Will Yuri be able to break down Raven's walls? Will Raven learn the truth to her past?

I went back and forth with this book. I thought it was overall a good quick mafia read, but felt that it could have been added to in some areas. I loved the idea of Yuri and his brothers and getting to read their backstory in the prequel. I did like the fact that Raven got a lot of the answers she was looking for. Yuri definitely had some instalove, but he was proven to be a go getter from the start. Overall it was a good read and I will definitely read the next in the series!

Mikial: Pepper grew up not knowing where she came from. Mikial grew up on the streets and only trusts a select few. Instantly the two are drawn together. Will Pepper learn the truth to her past? Will Mikial find the love he yearns for?

Loved the instant chemistry between these two. Just like in book 1 of this series, the two characters were instantly drawn together and both yearned for the connection. Loved how Mikial was an alpha male, but he still showed his love. Didn't blame Pepper for being afraid of her past, but was proud when she proved how strong she was. Good read!

Barshan: Talli is determined to carry on her family legacy after the death of her parents. Barshan thought that he had a chance at another legal business, until he realizes the truth. Someone is out to ruin them, but will he be found before its to late? Will Talli give herself a chance to fall in love with Barshan regardless of his occupation?

Was excited to get another Bratva Blood Brothers book and wasn't disappointed. Barshan was an alpha man, willing to do anything for the woman he fell for. Loved how despite everything going on, Talli had a lot of strength. Great read and cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Sazon: After her grandfather died, Ana vowed to get justice. Sazon is determined to help his brothers and work in his gym. One heirloom brings them together. Will Ana allow Sazon to love her? Will Sazon allow Ana her justice?

Loved this book! In my opinion each of these brothers are each great. I love the fact that Sazon is an alpha male, but yet when it came down to it, he let her fight her own battle. I loved how despite her size Ana, was a tough chick. Great read and great series!

Roman: After his childhood, Roman had determined that his ghosts were to great to fall in love. Stevie has spent the last four years on the streets with only her little brother to care about. Instantly they feel a kinship. Will Stevie let down her walls to let Roman close? Will Roman finally find closure for his past?

Loved how their pasts connected. One thing I loved about Roman is that while he was an alpha male, when it came to Stevie and her brother, he showed a tender heart. I loved how despite what life put her through Stevie was determined to protect the innocent and do the right thing. Great read!

Brothers United After finally finding love and family, Roman and Stevie must now fight to keep themselves and their new families safe. Will Stevie survive the men after her? Will Roman finally find the answers to his past?

Was soooo excited to get this book after reading books 1-5 in this series. For those who haven't read them yet, I definitely recommend this series. I love how this takes us into the future for Stevie, Benny, and Roman. This book also gives us the answers to some of Roman's past and shows his loyalty and strength. Loved this book and cannot wait for more from this author!

Prequel

Nikoli becomes aware of them and wants to recruit them on his brava team.

Bk 1 - Yuri

Yuri meets his blood brothers as a young homeless teen together they have an incredible bond.
Raven drops into his life when her brother reverts to old habits & pockets his wallet leaving Raven to return it.
A great start in the series with lots of twists.
Loved it.

Bk 2 - Mikial


Mikial owns a gallery with his blood brothers & meets Pepper after her roommate insisted the painting of a child in the gallery was a replica of Pepper. Unfortunately things get complicated when she discovers that the painting could be her but doesn’t remember her past. Mikial is desperate to help her, can they find the answers?

Bk 3 - Barshan

Barshan owns the security company Red Star when a client Russell Jerome can’t repay his loan he offers him part share in a jewellery shop.
Talli meets Barshan & Ivan when she discovers her late mother’s husband has tried to sell her shop.

Ana’s grandfather Ivan petroff was murdered by Michael Tabrone (he managed to live to tell her who killed him) her brother Drago & his wife Gretchen are awaiting the birth of their child so Ana manages to leave hoping to get her revenge?
Sazon & his brothers are warned that someone is looking for Michael but the zing he gets from Ana suprises him along with the puzzle they discovered.


Bk 5 - Roman

Stevie’s Brother Benny witnessed a murder by Frankie Briggs so they flee however she is hurt badly.
Roman hears a noise & upon investigating gets knocked out, Stevie manages to call his brother Yuri but things are about to get serious when pasts come to light.


Bk 6 - Brothers United

Roman & Stevie’s life still isn’t easy her past is slowly catching up with her & Benny the need to keep them safe is Roman’s priority. The blood brothers are going to come across more complicated puzzles to solve & more people coming into their lives.

When I first started reading this series, to be honest, I didn't think I would like it, let alone, relate to it in someways. In some ways, in both the men and women, I saw my past. Each book in this series made me laugh, cry, shake my head at some of the things happening, but at the end, always smiling an wondering what is coming next. I had a hard time forcing myself to stop reading long enough to do what i needed to an, yes, i stayed up all night one night over the weekend reading. This series is that amazing. If I could give it more than 5🌟 I would. I want to say, in a way, this is the ladies version of The Godfather only with Russian men who are a force to be reckoned with. I highly recommend this series. Make sure to grab some tissues an settle back for an amazing adventure. Thank You K.J. Dahlen for this amazing series. You are definitely by father my favorite author. Hope to see more series like this. I was sad to see it end. Trust, I will be reading this series again.

KJ Dahlen is a masterful writer. Her “BRATVA BLOOD BROTHERS” series sucked me into a world I never wanted to be a part of and yet Dahlen has painted the beasts who live in that world of greed, death, and chaos. Yet these “beasts” rule their world with an honor and security that makes them human, realistic and a sanctuary for the innocent and weak. I’ve had the privilege of reading the prequel and all six of the novels within the “BRATVA BLOOD BROTHERS” series. Each novel was my favorite - until I read the next one. Because this series deals with men of the Bratva, these romances are a bit darker, edgier, and a bit sexier. As a result, the transformation of the men in this blood brotherhood into men of honor and integrity is even more of a miracle. Author Dahlen’s descriptions, masterful character development and the use of flashbacks and dialogue to bring readers within that transformation are phenomenal. The chemistry between these Bratva men and the women who love them is also INCREDIBLE, so keeping a cool drink or hand fan near as one reads any of the novels with “BRATVA BLOOD BROTHERS” is suggested. (😉) With the STRONGEST and HIGHEST (5+STAR) recommendation possible, this reader/reviewer suggest you purchase your copy of “BRATVA BLOOD BROTHERS” series today. I am betting you will be hooked and want to read each of the titles, as each novel is magnificent and a testament to Dahlen’s superb writing ability. Meh. spoilers

I took a star off for spelling. There were many grammatical errors, one or two would’ve been fine, but a whole slew made reading this more difficult to immerse myself in the story. I took two stars off because when you combine all of these stories together they all read very similar. I’m pretty sure all female lead characters were virgins, and under the age of 25 while all male lead characters were 35 and up. One of them was forty with a twenty something. And surprise surprise once the female hooked up with the male character (usually in under 2-3 days of knowing these old men) there were “ you’re mine, and I love yours” in every single story. The author does a great job with describing steamy scenes, but as this is a multi-story set, they as well as the stories run together. The idea of this type of series was intriguing but the follow through left much to be desired especially because the characters kept repeating some of the same statements that it felt like I was reading some cheesy mob macho man story. I realize these are simple stories but when certain characters end up with real injuries ( one female was stabbed in the stomach and was less than probably 4-5 weeks pregnant the doctor said she’s bleeding internally I think he said it’s possible an artery was nicked, but will heal fine with bed rest and a transfusion. Reality is she’d be dead without hospitalization. She wasn’t taken to the hospital for this stabbing but was for when she had cuts from a window being blown out 🧐). The book was a good try, C+ for effort.

Bratva Blood Brothers is a truly amazing and unique series by one very gifted Author. If you have never had the opportunity to have read K.J.'s work, I really do encourage you to pick up this series. K.J. has a mind full of creativity and the work she produces will floor you time and again. To me personally, whether it is Bratva, an MC or just a straight up romance; her work is unsurpassed. She is one of my favorites for a reason and should you pick up anything by her, I guarantee that you will be addicted from cover to cover. She is really just that gifted. Honest.

I was incredibly fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of each book in this collection and I highly recommend them all. Are the books linked? Yes and no. You can read as stand alones, however, personally, I'd devour them all. It is up to you. They all contain wonderfully crafted storylines with terrific characters. These strong men will be tamed by the women that love them. Follow along and read this series as I have. You will be just as impressed with K.J.'s work as I've said.

Excellent

Yet another brilliant series from this author, her writing is always interesting and exciting and this collection is no exception. All the characters come alive in her books and we as the reader cannot help but become involved with them. All these men in this series have overcome difficulties either in childhood or as adults and each deserves the life they make for themselves, each also deserve the love they find. Each of these men seem to find their soul mates in much younger women but these women are tough and each has had their own difficulties to overcome. Each book in this collection has its own story but through it all is the strong thread of brotherhood between these men. It is an excellent read and as always Ms Dahlen does not disappoint.

Great storyline!

I would have loved to give this 5 🌟's, but the editing sucks. We should not have to work at putting the right words and putting them in the right order in any book. Spell check is wonderful, but grammar check is even better! Proof reading would have done wonders also. For instance, at the of one book Yuri and Raven had twins, and yet in the next book only one child is ever mentioned. I kept wondering what happened to the twin? In the last book (Nikoli's past) Danton's right-hand man went from 'Ramon' to 'Roman' in the very next sentence (and that happened a couple of times.
But, because I loved the storyline so much I read this series. I'm glad I was able to read it all. 💕

Bratva Blood Brothers is a boxset of the first 6 books in the Bratva Blood Brothers series by K.J. Dahlen. This is an awesome series that kept me on the edge and made me want to finish it in one sitting. The men in these books are not brothers by birth but brothers by the blood they spilt for each other as members of the Bratva (Russian mob). These men are closer than any brothers could be and will always be there for each other no matter what. These men are alpha all the way and their women wouldn’t have it any other way. The stories are full of suspense, twists and turns, high and lows, intrigue and love. These stories show not only the love the men have for their women but also the love between these brothers. I loved this boxset and definitely recommend it.

What's to love about this 6 book series? Everything. You get these six books that are filled with loyalty, friendship, suspense, a little bit of death, action but most of all men who are truly passionate about the woman they fall in love with. Five men who came together while living on the street in Russia become blood brothers. To them, that is just as important if not more than being a real family. So many good things about this series, that I just can't pinpoint a few. You will have to check it out yourself. You will not be disappointed. I truly enjoyed them and now there is a book 7 out as well. Enjoy.

These are the first books I have read from this author and I absolutely fell on love with them. This box set is about five brothers who are not blood related but are brothers no matter what anyone says. The five men are Yuri, Roman, Sason, mikiel, Barshan and their stories are full of romance where they meet these amazing women but being in the Russian bratva makes it dangerous, .but their men are fiercely protective and will not let anything hurt their family. The author had written amazing stories where I could not put my kindle down I was so gripped by them. I have voluntarily read and reviewed a advanced copy arc.

This is one of the best box sets, which I have read in a long time. This set consists of 6 novels, which are about different characters, who are not blood brothers, but have pledged to be brothers by choice. Each of these stories is heartbreaking, action packed, emotional, thrilling, with suspense and danger which had me on tenterhooks throughout. These strong protective men and the feisty women who tame them!

A family of brothers not related by blood, but would shed blood for each other. I can honestly say each story stands on its own, as I have reviewed all but one of them. Not sure how I missed it, but I just finished Mikial's story and it is just as awesome as the others. The bonds and loyalty are forged not just between the men, but the women as well, as they are also strong and protective towards their men. Another great reason for getting all this amazing testosterone in one place is the connecting stories of suspense, sexy romance, twists, and HEAs. I would like to thank the author for gifting me The Bratva Boxset. My opinion is my own. This is mine. 5 Stars!

Loved all five of the guys but their women were different degrees of OK.

Intriguing storylines that sometimes failed to be fleshed out.

Twin boy & girl that turns into a single boy then back to twins. Certain scenes when they are not at the hotel only the boy is mentioned.

Nicked arteries that are treated in a hotel room.

The storylines were intriguing enough that I read the entire boxed set and this would benefit from a good editing.

Very well written with nice story lines and plots. Mafia romances that are enjoyable and sweet. They are different and that makes them much better. I just love these Bratva guys.
Stories of a nice length. Likeable well described characters that develops through the story. Amazing chemistry and passion. I like the unexpected twists and turns. Captivating and enjoyable read. Steamy scenes that are realistic and hot. The mix of drama, secrets, passion and twists makes it a great read.
Recommendable.

I LOVE this series! I love reading about mafia men and this had everything in it I was looking for. 5 boys come together in the harsh weather of Russia and form a Brotherhood that eventually garners the attention of the Bratva. Taken under the wing of the mafia they grow and get even stronger, eventually being brought to New Orleans, Louisiana. There each brother hopes for something different with their new lives. Love, pain, laughter and so much more awaits the brothers,but you'll have to read them to find out.

This box set got some getting through. Had to read other things in between. The overall concept is good. The 5 young teenage boys trying to stay alive on the Russians streets alone and find staying together is the only way to survive. Each book follows the story of each boy/man and then the final instalment is written with all of them in it (based predominantly around Roman). If you can put up with the Russian mob declaring love within the first 24 hrs then this is the series for you. Completely far fetched but easy reading.

Overall it was a nice series but the books were too repetitive in both the narrative (seriously the sentence "i/he was only two years old" was said 13 freaking times in like 2 chapters in Roman's book!!! Like come on!) And also the plot was basically the same in most of the books. All Female leads were virgin *sighs* and got claim right away ie instalove... yay! *sarcasm* and there wasn't really a continuity so I lost interest pretty soon in most of the books.
Honestly it wasn't a bad series just... it was not the best either :(

Great plots but....

All the books had great storylines but the 1st four books were more about the women than the brothers. Roman's stories were my favorite though. There were some minor inconsistencies like the number of children Yuri had throughout the series and the amount of time since their arrival in the US. I also noticed that Nikoli's son basically disappeared from the series after the 2nd book which I feel like he should have been joined at the hip with Nikoli every time he travelled to New Orleans just to see his sister. All in all I loved the series none the less

This author's Russian Mafia series is the absolute best. Five orphans dying on the snowy streets of Moscow find that joined together they can overcome. They eventually are cared for by a man associated with the mob which moves them to New Orleans, Louisianna to become a power for the Bratva. Each story is thrilling in their loving daring-do: a prequel, one for each blood brother, a summary and one just for this boxed set. Hours of entertainment. One-click for sure.

One of my favorite things about this series is the mixture of cultures that it involves. The characters are so varied but the all share one important passion that of family and brotherhood. K J Dahlen is magnificent in her written works. You can feel all the passion she pours into the characters especially into the conversations that takes place amongst them. This is a series that only continues to grow in leaps and bounds.

Dalhen has given us the entire series at an incredible price. Each book provides you with hours of captivating reading. I have read other Series by K.J Dahlen and I really liked this one as well. This Series has Suspense, love, and tragedy. It follows the life of 5 Blood Brothers who grew up on the Streets in Russia. Coming to the US when they were young men and making something of themselves and becoming a family. Yuri, Mikial, Barshan, Suzon, and Roman. Throughout the books, you will see some old friends from her other series.

This book is actually the first six books in the Bratva Blood Brothers series starting with how they met and then following each of the five brothers and their partners. K.J Dahlen in my opinion is the ultimate writer of Bratva books and I would heartily recommend this series of books to all readers who enjoy romance with a bit of action included.

I loved all of their stories and how they turned their lives around. The only problem is that in Sazon & Ana’s story you keep referring to Raven and Yuri having one child, when in Barshan & Talli’s story at the end when she goes into labor she ends up having twins. Dominic Yuri & Caitlyn Anatoly.

Good read!

The stories were great! A little repetitive and the typos were distracting, but otherwise it was enjoyable. I couldn’t put my kindle down very often. I wanted to know what happened.
