Rate this book
This is the second book of a two-book series which begins with Jet Down. If you read Jet Down first, you will understand Iran Down a lot more. When Amber Neilson parachutes into southwest Iran to rejoin Troy Barclay and the Amir family, she has to fight her way through an Iranian Army patrol to get to them. The Troy Barclay team were all wounded during the big firefight and Amber has parachuted medical supplies, food, guns and ammunition to the team. The problem is that the Iranian Army under General Awad has hundreds of men looking for them and many search planes. Of the nine team members, eight are wounded and can't move fast enough away from the Army camp to get away. Troy comes up with a unique solution that is risky but they are out of options. Meanwhile, Captain Hadad of the secret police is looking for the jet's CPU that he believes is still in Iran. He knows Troy was the last one to have it and Hadad gathers nearly a hundred men to go after Troy. Hadad and General Awad don't get along and they both know whoever finds the CPU can write his own ticket with Ayatollah Kattan. The SEAL team is going to rescue them but the Iranian air force keeps them away. Amber treats the teams' injuries and tries to keep everyone healthy enough to fight. President Sawyer decides that if the Iranian war planes don't back down, he will risk an international incident and shoot them down to rescue Troy's team. In the meantime, Troy and Amber's boss organizes a civilian rescue team to go into Iran and get the team if the SEAL team can't get past the Iranian jets. With time running out and the Iranian Army and secret police closing in on the team, Troy and Amber have to take drastic action to escape Iran.

Another one down

This was a good read. However, you have to read Jet Down to enjoy it fully. Action packed, good pace.
