Set in Karpov Kinrade's USA Today bestselling Vampire Girl universe, comes a standalone story that will leave you wanting more. Originally published in the USA Today Bestselling Cocktales Anthology. *** A thirst like I’ve never before experienced wakes me from a deep sleep full of vaguely haunting dreams. When I peel my eyes open enough to take stock of where I am, I realize three things at I’m in a bed not my own, there is a stranger’s arm draped around me, and… we are both naked. Oh, and there's a brand new wedding ring on my left index finger. This is how my day starts. In a Las Vegas hotel room, married to a stranger I don't remember meeting. So cliche, right? What's worse is that I'm a highly respected librarian in Las Vegas, not some drunken tourist. That would all be bad enough... until I find out the worst part. I've been turned into a vampire, and some other really evil vampires want me dead. I guess the honeymoon will have to wait. If we even stay married. First, though, we have to stay alive. *** Read all the books in the Vampire Girl Universe Vampire Girl Vampire Girl 2: Midnight Star Vampire Girl 3: Silver Flame Vampire Girl 4: Moonlight Prince Vampire Girl 5: First Hunter Vampire Girl 6: Unseen Lord Vampire Girl 7: Fallen Star Vampire Girl 8: Of Dreams and Dragons Vampire Girl 9: Copper Snare Vampire Librarian Vampire Girl 10: Crimson Cocktail Vampire Girl 11: Christmas Cognac Of Dreams and A standalone fantasy

Ok, I'm lost and don't understand what is happening. I think I need to read this series from the beginning... Lesson learned!
No raiting as for now because if I had to rate it today I would give it 2 poor little stars. I'll be back once all 6 stories before are read , which might be a while since... I did not enjoy myself as much as I thought I would be.
Just a question... If you have woken up with no memory, naked, with some naked dude next to you, wouldn't you freak out big time?
Short and sweet novella packed with KK's usual sense of adventure, danger, blood-sucking villains, strong heroines and swoony heroes. Even though this novella takes place in the VG world, I don't think you have to have read any or all of the VG books to savor this short. However, we do see some familiar faces and places, so you would definitely appreciate it more if you did! Another great addition to this world and I can't wait for more :)
[Originally read as part of the Cocktales anthology.]
This short story is funny, action packed and is really entertaining You could read it in one sitting I loved that we get to see characters from the others book and know from anothers
It’s too short! I enjoyed this quick read immensely. At first, I didn’t get the connection to the Vampire Girl world, but it was quickly apparent. Would definitely love to read more about this couple.
Loved this story of Ember and Sebastian from Crimson Cocktail celebrating their first Christmas after Ember has been turned. They celebrate it on Earth with Ember's human surrogate human family which brings a set of challenges all its own. Further complicating things get surrogate sister is having marital troubles she wants them to look into and there is a vampire loose in town committing serial murders. This is a short, fun read you'll definitely enjoy.
Crimson Cocktail by Kaprov Kincade a five-star read that will set you alight. This is a short story in the Vampire Girl series and is the first read in the Vampire Librarian series, but it can be read as stand-alone. This is a super short but super fun read, what would you do if you woke in a bed in Vegas married and also turned. Ember Elaine White faces just that problem and she face’s it with such aplomb that she rocks it, in the end anyhow after all she was only human at first.
Vampire Girl World 6.5 offshoot. First of the Vampire Librarian novellas.
First off, I don’t like a story where you don’t find out the main character(s) name until far into the book. Didn’t even see it in the Goodreads description.
Cute. This is about Ember White, a Las Vegas librarian who wakes up to find herself a vampire and married to a stranger.
Well this author is a new one for me, I enjoyed the story, although a couple of times it didn't flow as well as the rest, but that does not detract from the story as a whole, a strong female lead even though she was a librarian, a vampire who saves her, a psychotic best friend, I will be reading more of this author, you should give them a try.
A good read for people who are in to the series recommended highly can’t wait for the next one of the series a really good read but quick shaping up to be a good series must read the next of the series
A nice (but short) story of a young woman happily going through life only to find out that there was 'O' so much more'. A 30 minute read that leaves you smiling.
This was a fun little short story with subtle and not so subtle nods to the Vampire Girl series for anyone that has read it. Would be fun to see these two pop up in a future VG book set in this world.
I absolutely loved Ember! It was refreshing to see a strong heroine with a quiet personality. A good change with plenty of potential for more stories. This tale tied nicely into the VG universe. I look forward to more. A must read for fans of Vampire Girl.
Crimson Cocktail is a fun story. Ember and Sebastian are intriguing characters. Its more than cool that Ember is a librarian and they both love rare books. Its great that there is a cross over aspect to the Vampire Girl world.
The only downside is I'd rather have read their story as a full length novel. I just know there would be so much more. I'll read the next installment, Christmas Cognac, and I'm sure I'll like it (and any others that come out). I do enjoy Karpov Kinrade's writing, but I'm going to stick to wishing this was a more in depth series.
Cant really lie that I am hooken on these writer and their stories. Just an addiction. Loved the names of the new characters and loved their dynamics and things they faced. Short and brilliant as always.
I really enjoyed the story of Ember and Sebastian. It was an interesting twist of going to bed o e way and walking up married to a stranger. I loved this story.
