Waited for the last installment in this series with anticipation and was not disappointed. These books appeal on many ways. They are more than just disaster stories, political dramas or war novels. The character development in these stories is amazing. These people became real to me. I cared about them and still wonder what they're doing! Two points I want to make. I have had difficulty reading the last few years but not with these three books. I could stay focused and picture everybody in it. Two, this is 2018 now. The possibilities laid out in this trilogy seem more plausible. That leads to questions that remain to be answered regarding the following: How much liberty should be sacrificed for security or the illusion of security? How do citizens defend themselves if they can't trust the institutions that serve them?

This story and the other two books were actually great reads. The characters are developed well and the story doesn’t have many unbelievable scenarios. What is lacking is the editing. It detracts from the story in each book. There are small errors with grammar and leftover pieces of sentences from editing that cause enough of a distraction when reading that the flow is interrupted. If these editing errors were taken care of, the entire series would be 4 stars. I would recommend the story to anyone who enjoys the genre, but just found the editing enough of an issue to take away a star in my rating.
This is a "must read"! I enjoyed the whole series. In fact when the box set comes out I will buy and reread. I already know 2 people I will buy sets for as we are " old school". They prefer to read bound books. I on the other hand like both ways..books and tablet!
