For as long as Hannah could remember, her heart had belonged to Thomas. It hadn't always been easy. Hannah, however, had been steadfast and loyal and was convinced that all the heartaches she'd suffered with Thomas were behind her. She and Thomas were actually getting married. In just a few weeks, she was going to have her lifelong dream -- her forever Thomas.
Then Thomas showed his true colors once again leaving Hannah with the hardest decision of her young life. Could she remain steadfast and loyal or was this last incident the straw that broke the camel's back? Was it even possible to survive without Thomas in her life? Was it even possible to breathe?
The first 28% is all about Thomas. Then she meets Jake, at 42% we get this:-
Through mouthfuls of pizza and gulps of red wine, the girls whispered and talked and giggled and laughed through their dinner. Anyone watching them could easily tell that they were best friends sharing intimacies that only best friends would confide. That's exactly what Thomas thought as he stared at the two of them from his spot behind the take-out register until the cashier interrupted his trance. If anyone had been watching him, they would have noticed the sadness in his eyes as he paid for his pizza and left without being noticed.
Bye bye Thomas! I'm not mad that Thomas got the heave ho... I just wanted him gone earlier.

Hannah had loved Thomas most of her life. He broke her heart several times, but when he tells her he wants to put off their wedding, she has finally had enough. She was so strong to finally take her life back. Jake is an attorney in the law firm she works at and slowly earns her trust. Good read.
Cute relationship with the sweet, gorgeous new man,but very silly break up scenario! (For man#2)Moreover, there was an instance where it appeared as if bozo Thomas was going to stalk them, but that simply and oddly fizzled out .Why build expectation of suspense ...that ends up going nowhere?
This was an okay read. The first half was basically about the guy that the FMC has loved for years. He would break up with her and date other women, and then he’d eventually come back. She’d take him back with open arms and never made him apologize. So he tells her that they need to postpone their marriage, which is about two months away. It’s the last straw…
Then a new lawyer joins their practice, and he starts taking her out. They do fall in love, but he gets a new assignment to open another branch office, and he breaks up with her because his ex cheated on him when they did the long distance thing.
This was an okay read. There wasn’t anything really special about it, but it wasn’t terrible either. This definitely needs proofreading though. I stopped correcting the spelling after a while.
KU read. A new to me author but I probably won’t look for her again…
Wonderfully written with complex characters this story is so much more than meets the eye. I’m the type of girl that gets attracted to a book by the first impressions of the cover. I then read the synopsis to finally decide whether it’s a book I would like to invest my time in. This time round, I decided to go against the grain and choose something that I wouldn’t normally pick up at all! Boy, am I ever so grateful that I did. This story has all the feels and then some! Hannah is amazing and strong! She is fierce and loves without conditions. So glad she finally found her hea with Jake!
This is a very well written story about a woman who has lots of heartache before she gets a HEA. First from a man who really didn't know what he wanted and next from a man that let his past determine his future.
The characters are well developed and relatable. I do have a hard time understanding Hannah and Thomas's relationship. It's almost like she had battered wife syndrome without the beating, just the repeated heartache and her continuing to take him back.
Good story. Good plot. Heroine finally woke up. Met a new guy. Was a literal doormat for her fiance. Oh, how common that is! But she grew up. Built some self esteem. Got honest. Met a new guy. Saw the same signs as the old guy. Struggled through with a different perspective. HEA.
It was a really good book but it kind of just ends leaving you hanging. Do they get married or not? Maybe add a flash into the future at the end like 10 years later.
A book about a girl who stuck by her boyfriend even though he broke up with her multiple times. Then finding the perfect man and thinking he's like her ex. Ok book
