Here is a Top 10 list from Ann about her likes, dislikes, and oddities:

1. I despise whipped cream. There, I admitted it in writing. Let the ridiculing begin.
2. Even though I have lived as far south as Key Largo, Florida and as far north as Maine, I landed in the middle.
3. If I don't make a conscious effort not to, I will drink nothing but tea morning, noon and night. Hot tea, sweet tea, green tea––I love it all.
4. There doesn't seem to be much in life that is better than coming home to a couple of big dogs who are overjoyed to see me. My other family members usually show significantly less enthusiasm about my return.
5. Singing in my bestest, loudest voice does not make my family put on their happy faces. This includes the big, loving dogs referenced above.
6. Yes, I am aware that bestest is not a word.
7. Dorothy was right. There's no place like home.
8. All of the numerous bottles in my shower must be lined up with their labels facing out. It makes me feel a little like Julia Roberts' mean husband from the movie 'Sleeping with the Enemy,' but I can't seem to control this particular quirk.
9. I love, love, love finding a great bargain.
10. Did I mention that I hate whipped cream? It makes my stomach churn to look at it, touch it, smell it, or even think about it. Great––now I'm thinking about it. Ick!

Didn't like this.

Sabrina's marriage isn't going too great. She has a hot neighbor that she fantasizes about. There's some cheating and rebuilding of her life.

I found this story to be absurd. I'm all for surprises in a book, but this didn't make any sense. I'm never thrilled about cheating, but I've rated a book with a cheater 5 stars before because of the emotion the author poured into the writing and the backstory, yadda yadda.

Also, there's no connection to these characters. Readers are meant to feel sorry for Sabrina and the way she is being treated, but we aren't given enough of their history or their present.

I can't continue with this 5 part series.

This was a short quick read that I liked and wanted more of. Ethan moves next door to Sabrina who is a very lonely woman who’s marriage is on the rocks. Sabrina doesn't want to cheat on her husband but her hot new neighbor is very tempting. This was a fast moving story that caught my attention. This was my first time reading this author. This book was we well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

For a fairly quick read this story was in depth, filled with feelings and emotions of all the characters.
My heart broke for this couple and the mundane nearly non existent relationship they were enduring until Ethan came along.
Heart breaking but yet hopeful!

A short read about a woman that is in an unhappy marriage. But there is a sexy hunk of a neighbor next door. What could happen? It is well written, good characters, and steamy sex scenes.

Hot for Neighbor

While I'm not a fan of cheating, I did enjoy this book. Ethan knows how to treat a woman and the results are sweet and steamy.

Sometimes happily ever after just doesn't happen. That's where Sabrina has found herself - in a loveless marriage with a man who treats her poorly. Unfortunately, while his love for her is gone, he refuses to divorce her. Thinking that her fate is sealed, she does her best to make the most of things. There's only one problem. Her next door neighbor is the epitome of sex on a plate and she's famished. Can she keep herself content in a loveless marriage or it time to finally do something for herself?

Ann Omasta does an amazing job at crafting characters. You feel for Sabrina and want her to find happiness. You can't help but hate her husband and how he's forcing his wife to stay in a loveless marriage and constantly ridiculing her. And then there's Ethan. He's not only sexy, but caring, funny, and charming. As wrong as it is, you can't help but want Sabrina to run into the arms of another man.

Omasta shows that affairs don't happen simply because a woman is trashy. Sometimes they happen because someone has treated her kindly for the first time in her life. It's a deep story that will have you wondering if you may have judged others too harshly in the past. But, don't forget. It's also an incredibly sexy adventure that you won't be able to put down.

What a twist!

This has a tiny little taboo in it but due to being in a similar situation in the past, I can totally forgive it. Also, the 'hair raising' part threw me for a wonderful gut laughing loop! Read this, you'll love it.

Awesome Read!

I like steamy scenes if they come with a great story. This one has it all. I loved Ethan, the sexy neighbor. Ann’s descriptions of blah marriages rang several bells for me. I enjoyed reading this one.

This review should probably be considered as containing spoilers, (consider yourself warned,) but since the plot is so predictable, I’m not really sure if it spoils anything. I HATE cheaters! Have the courage to exit the relationship you’re done with before starting another. Having been the one cheated on, I personally believe there’s a special hell for people who have affairs and those who enable them. At the beginning of the book I really respected Sabrina because even though her marriage wasn’t working any more, she honored her vows enough not to start an affair. That respect went right out the window when she proceeded to have that affair I was so proud she wasn’t having, no matter how much her horrible friend was encouraging her. I appreciated that she chose to take the subsequent relationship with Ethan slower than it started, but it was far too little too late for me.
The characters are cardboard caricatures of the people they’re supposed to be, and the story was almost all “tell” and very little “show”. I think I could see the ghost-image of the mentally and emotionally abusive man the author was trying to make Sabrina’s husband. But, for what we actually saw of their interactions, I’m not sure I can blame him for his reactions considering the affair she was already starting with their neighbor. And I didn’t find her sudden terror of her eventually-to-be-ex-husband at the end of the book to be the least bit believable in light of the way he’d been portrayed up to that point. I loathed her best friend. I’m completely on Mick’s side in his opinion of Carla. (See above for my theory of the special hell for affair enablers.) To the author’s credit, the writing is very well done. I likely wouldn’t be having this reaction to the story if it weren’t so well written.

MAJOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT:
I liked this book. It was a quick and easy read. There wasn't anything heavy or life changing in it, but I didn't expect it to. I went into this book expecting it to be fun and simple, which it was.
My main complaint with this book would be the jumps between chapters. Between chapters 3 and 4 especially. Chapter 3 ends with Mick catching Sabrina and Ethan having sex. I was so hyped for the next chapter, but when I started to read it, it started with Sabrina and her friend the next day. Instead of getting to watch what happened next unfold, we were told what happened: Ethan being shot. I feel like this was a missed opportunity on the author's part. If I would have gotten to see the scene play out instead of being told it, I think I would have enjoyed the book a lot more.
Overall, I enjoyed this book, but not really. It was just a quick and easy read to pass the time. There wasn't really any substance to it and it wasn't anything overly special. Then again, I didn't expect it to be so I wasn't let down or anything.

I voluntarily received an arc copy of this story for my honest review through Booksprout

Loved Loved Loved this story is sassy and imaginative.Sabrina is in a loveless marriage her husband ridicules her and doesn't appreciate her. Then there is the sexy next door neighbor who she fantasizes about he is everything she wants but doesn't have. Her best friend wants her to have an affair with the hunk next door.

Ethan the next door neighbor appreciated her when she brings him a brownie. He is nice to her and he seems interested.

Will Sabrina give in to temptation with the sexy next door neighbor and leave her loveless unappreciative husband. This story is done in four parts and is complete. There is no epilogue but we do get to see whom or if Sabrina ends up with anyone.

I'm torn on this book. I thought the story was good, but there were several elements I didn't care for.

What's with best friends calling each other "bitch" and "ho"? I know they are doing it jokingly, but still... It seems very immature.

I don't enjoy reading about cheating spouses. I know it happens, but it doesn't make for good romance, in my opinion.

As a narrator, the author sounded stiff most of the time.

I have another book in the series that I'll try out to see if this author is someone I would continue to read.

Ann Omasta writes such sweet romances, so when I was surprised when I listened to this one. Sabrina is not happy in her marriage, but her husband won’t give her a divorce. Attracted to her neighbor, the two begin to play a game of flirtatious cat and mouse. But when will the cat catch the mouse? This is a spicy, passionate story that shows the pain of unhappiness and feeling of unconditional love. There are parts that I was taken out of my comfort zone with, but story is definitely daring. Narrated by the author, Omasta lets us hear this story as she heard it herself. It’s got the feelings and inflections necessary to let us get to know Sabrina intimately. I enjoyed the narration and always look forward to more of Omasta’s books.

This is a fantastic deal on a 4-part set of "The Neighbor" series by Ann Omasta. I have one problem with it, however, that made my rating only 4 stars. The "Complete Series" is a short read at only 106 pages and I find it hard to believe that this was published as 4 separate stories. The serial doesn't even take up all 106 pages! (See the Table of Contents in the "Look Inside" peek at the top of the Amazon page for this book.)

If you aren't deterred by the short length, be prepared for one sizzling read that you won't want to end. The cover visual isn't bad, either.

I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was on my kindle app on my phone. Didn't know what it was when I read it.

I have mixed feelings.

The whole point was that she was conflicted about cheating/not cheating, and whether or not her fantasy about the neighbor crossed the line into cheating.

It felt a little icky when she was trying to justify having an affair with the hot neighbor.

However, her husband was a verbally/emotionally abusive prick. I've known men like that.

Honey,
move out.
Get a lawyer.
File for divorce. Doesn't matter if he doesn't want one. You can still make it happen.
THEN fuck the neighbor. Or at least wait until you move out.

Fantasy come to life

A woman stuck in a dull marriage soon has hope for some excitement thanks to the hot guy next door. I'm sure if this was real, i feel the husband's reaction would of been a lot more expressive other than just agreeing to all she wanted. But if you look at it from the point of it's about her and is safe & happy to not make the reader uncomfortable then its a great story. The smut scenes were hot and not over done. If you are seeking a quick read about the fantasy of a woman stuck in a dreaded marriage, then this is for you. :)

Fast read

This isn’t an in depth story. Sabrina is a miserable woman who has been in a loveless marriage for a long time. Her husband Mick is an ass to her most days but I see no working on the marriage from either one. Sabrina has a new neighbor who is built and hot, so hot she fantasizes about him all the time. She pleasures herself while thinking about him. At the encouragement of her best friend, she decides to have an affair with the neighbor and once the deed is done, now she has to choose her husband or her lover.

Good read

I enjoyed this book even though I don’t usually read cheating plots. This was entertaining. There is never an excuse to cheat. This book does put this in such a way as to clearly define that the marriage was non-relationship, more roommate than marriage. The Story between Ethan and her was not sleepy. It was hot and remained so throughout the book. Ok. I enjoyed this book.

Sabrina and her husband Mick no longer have a happy marriage, if ever. In fact he treats her really badly, telling her she is no longer sexy since she put on weight. Her friend Carla keeps on telling her she should leave him and go screw the sexy neighbour Ethan. First Sabrina trys to withstand the temptation since she's not a cheater but when she finally gives in, they get caught. Will there be a happy ever after for her or isn't that for her?

A housewife with an inattentive husband casts a covetous eye on her hunky, artist neighbour in this hot forbidden lust story. Omasta has a talent for hot romances, and I loved the way this heroine finally finds the courage to reach out and grab what she really wants after of years of verbal abuse and neglect.
If you like your romance VERY hot and of the forbidden variety, you'll love this one. I did.

Cute

This was a fast paced short that caught me but just didn't hold me. A lot of punch is packed into this short with a masturbation that worked for the book but didn't keep me.

Happy Reading

There is more books in this series that I for one will by pass. I do hope Carla and Ethan find their center

The Neighbor Serial is a complete set for this story. There is a lot going on in it for such a quick read. It's a well developed story with likable (mostly ;-) ) characters and natural dialog. Ann Omasta packs all kinds of goodies in this book...sexy neighbor, hot, steamy scenes, and feels...Yes, thanks! This is definitely worth the read.

This is a new author for me and I look forward to reading more. This Was a very short read, but packed a lot of story. It was very well written and surprisingly it had very little sex. Hot sexy neighbour next door and husband asleep in the bedroom, things got interesting real quick. A steamy daydream.

It was a really predictable plot, but the characters weren't fleshed out as much as I would have liked. That, and the cheating really threw me off. I don't condone any kind of cheating, so I found myself really disliking the characters.

Good book

#Spoilers
I loved this one, I wasn’t crazy about how she was still married when she slept with her neighbor but it was still a good book, I loved the book in general, I liked how she started out with terrible marriage and how she found her Prince Charming but all in all it was a good quick read.

Caught in a loveless marriage, Sabrina is attracted to her hunk of a neighbor, but believes she should stay true to her marriage vows. However, various encounters and situations cause her to start to drop her guard.
This is very explicit sexual activity, unlike some of this author's other books.

Pretty straightforward. I was sharing Sabrina’s anxiety about Mick there at the end ... and I’m thankful that the last scene was a happy one between Ethan & Sabrina, instead of a tense cliffhanger.

I’m wondering what else would the series cover?
